In this clip:
Don S. Davis as Major General George Hammond
Robert Wisden as Major Bert Samuels
Amanda Tapping as Captain Sam (Samantha) Carter
Christopher Judge as Teal'c
Richard Dean Anderson as Colonel Jack O'Neill
Michael Shanks as Dr. Daniel Jackson
Jay Acovone as Major Charles Kawalsky
Hammond's thinking, yeah he was in the truck in the 60's, that is fine.
I actually never thought of that explanation, you just blew my fucking mind dude
In fact he's been planning to meet them
Which means hammond was acting surprised just to seem normal because they had no knowledge yet that they could time travel with the stargate
Technically Hammond didn’t know until the episode they went back, that then changed the past.
@@farimir120 technically that's not how time travel would work.
Teal'c internal monologue: "Last time I was here, we were shooting up the gateroom.."
Poor old Kowalski - must be his Polish ancestry, being invaded again!
Lmfao!
Battle of Wizna. 720 Polish soldiers held off 40,000 German soldiers for three days. While also under heavy artillery fire.

Underrated comment
What an amazing moment in history. So good they documented it on camera.
Imagine if this all turns out to be real.
@@PR--un4ub Just like they said in the show, plausible deniability
😂😂😂
@@zethcader6478 How better to make people not believe it than to make a "fictional" movie about it? 😀
I think this is the first instance of asking Kawalsky if he's alright, when he obviously is not alright, which continued into the next episode. Not to be a spoiler, but after that 2nd episode, they did not ask him if he was alright anymore.
Shouldn't Teal'C have been able to sense the presence of the symbiote?
@@tomwhone9804 yes
you know, it's like they knew this scene would be iconic, and they shot it to be perfect, and made the music to be perfect for inducing nostalgia
Well when you introduce a main cast member in a pilot you need to make sure the audience remembers. 😂 I agree though, this scene aged very well.
General you dont know it yet but i found us a world class ass kicker
*Galaxy class.
Man, that is a classic shot at 0:56. The beginning.
Im glad someone noticed it
The first shot of the crew together.
Yep, thought the same thing when they shot was shown, like that's the shot for the cover... I miss this freakin' show... :'(
@@Kenneth45 You can always just rewatch it
@@mattnar3865 I already have a few times, but I kind of mean I miss the show as in watching their adventures. So like I wish somehow they stuck together and made more episodes to show their continued adventures, but I know that can't happen anymore...
Teal'c gave Onei'l a good first impression.
Indeed
two L's
@@Rikard_Nilsson Dammit, you beat me by a whole 6 months!
O'NeilL was the first one Teal'c believed. (Two Ls. There IS an O'Neil with ONE L, but he has no sense of humor.)
Oh I forgot the pilot had the tall viking warrior with the Really bad fake bald cap in it!
He’s a fucking boss! Throwing rocks at the Jaffa
@@user-yo8ab1ys9e They should bring him back for the next _Stargate_ series.
Samuels acting like he has any power... 😒
He has to grab some of it while he has a chance.
How risky would it have been if Teal’c was a spy who pretended to help them…..
Indeed, I guess in reality he could never join SG1 so easily
@@TheeBaggy59 Nor learn english so fast.
Well maybe I was wrong, in fact that could be explain because in one episod sg1 travel back in time and meet young Hammond, so when the actual Hammond sees teal'c he remembers him as a member of sg1 and accepts without doubt the O'Neill request
@@TheeBaggy59 Yeah but it was actually Jack who had the idea of Teal'c joining SG1 so it was a big risk for Jack to take to even suggest it.....
@@killbot86 Jack went with his gut.
didn´t hammond listen? o´neill said it was a recommendation o´neill never said it was his decision
True, but Hammond said that because it might not be Hammond's decision either. There was a crap-ton of politics involved.
"if you'll accept my recomendation"
Am glad I enjoyed this when it was running
Major Charles Kawalsky's Father served on the USOS Seaview
There's always a "Kowalksi" in any military unit, isn't there?
Hammond in this vid: WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?!?! also Hammond but in a vid next to recomended: im putting you in charge *note im joking here i know theres some time established between the two vid clips i just thought it was funny how youtube would put that recomended order*
Maybe if you can explain it more it'll be funnier. Please explain the joke in great detail.
@@TheKingofLimbo hes outraged to even see tealc in the one vid and the next thats was in the vid recomedation its as if nothing happend
Hammond already met Teal'c, apparently :-P.

They were children back then. 😁
Can you post the clip of Kawasaki's Death and the Kawoosh suicide by any chance?
Sorry I don't have access to my materials anymore. I'm also concerned that if I upload more videos the account will get deleted.
His name is Kawalsky. Kawasaki is a Japanese brand. Amongst other things they manufacture and sell motorcycles. How did you mix that shit up? lol

You're welcome
señores que ven esta serie esto es totalmente real sobre los viajes en los portales a otros planetas
You know from a military standpoint this is completely ridiculous. As is the whole show. Which I love. Not seasons 9 & 10 though. Teal'c is an enemy FIRST PRIME aka GENERAL, who would be an enormous intelligence asset, even if he doesn't know much of the technology. ENORMOUS. But instead he goes wandering around within a few miles of a stargate with the rest of SG-1; O'Neill, 2IC of the base with all the secrets that means. And a bird Colonel. In the Air Force. Mary Sue Carter, smartest female, sorry PERSON, alive, expert in everything from hand to hand combat, to marksmanship, to creating ridiculous devices with left over dildoes, to Jackson, THE expert on all things old, and the only one with an open enough mind to connect the dots. In short, THE VERY BEST people we have. And they wander around herpa derp. The first couple of episodes had a lot of merit, military wise. Platoonish sized team with some vehicles, MANPADS, Mortars (IIRC), etc. That's a decent recon in force for SPECOPS guys. But from then on.... I hope they DO the reboot, which is apparently based on the movie, which was far more "serious" than SG-1. Which I love. Except seasons 9 & 10.
I'm sure he wrote a lote of books detailing most of what he knows and answered a lot of questions at the base before and after he started to go on missions.
Still, SG Command *needed* those experts on the ground because most of Earth tech is stone age comparing to what aliens have, so you need smartest people to collect and bring back the tech and knowledge.
And best diplomats - Daniel and Teal'c, too, to convince some aliens to share knowledge or at least establish relations for a start.
-
And yes, Teal'c was the best diplomat SG Command ever had.
Jacob was at the second place.
They spend 90% of their time not addressing the major threat.
How is Carter a Mary Sue simply cause she a scientist ?
