Doing free work can go a long way, it is very worth it in the end. I'm a freelance videographer/photographer. I started off by doing free fitness videos for fitness coaches/ fitness models where I live and from those few free videos I did, I recieved a couple clients And from those couple clients I gained even more clients. I am currently trying to get into the wedding side, I did like 2 free weddings and just from those 2 wedding videos I gained a couple more clients just by having my video shared around in the venue.
Freelancing is definitely a great way to make money and get experience when you're younger. I started off at 11 by making designs for gaming youtubers (made around $400/mo). Later on I started getting into UI/UX design (websites, apps etc.). When I had a nice portfolio of work, I'd began looking up businesses without a website, and sent them a mail. I'm 17, and recently landed a job as Web Designer for a medium sized company, because of my experience with websites and designing. So Minecraft RUclips banners helped me getting a job as Web Designer.
Wow. You deserve all the slow claps. I'm 17 and I just ate 4 pb and j's all by myself. But thats really great. Any tips on where I can start on something like that. How did you learn to make websites. And what tools did you use.
@@Candrex Hello. WOW, congratulations. Do you mind telling how did you learn to make websites and what resources you use to learn? I am very interested. Thank you.
@@cync6108 I didn't really actively learn it. I just played around with it for fun, and if there was something I didn't know, I would look it up. I have always been very creative minded, so it's been easy for me to learn how to do design, make websites etc.
Young people are lazy.. young people got it easier with all these computers and smartphones so it's so easy to sell online. Back in my days, you will have to go outside and hustle to sell C.Ds and different things. There were no social media and all these smartphones and computers. Try selling the things she sold if she were in the 80s she probably wouldn't make a dime or a cent.
@@Jess2daleft sir, you do realize that in the 1980s, the products may have been different, but the process of entrepreneurs has always been the same? Sure, expanding her buisenesses would have been more difficult but dont tell me there werent dolls to sell or photographs to be taken. She would've made it back then becouse she has the mind of a capitalist. You also seem to forget that the 1980s arent too far off of the age of the internet...
@@Jess2daleft and young people arent lazy, they just realize that the older generations have handed them a fucked up world that they created and now expect young people to fix... and they will fix it, because they have the tools at their disposal, the knowledge of what not to do (which is why they are the first generation to begin to start leaning right politically), and the determination last seen by the greatest generation.
@@Jess2daleft totally agree, young people are lazy. when I was 17 I got a job at the supermarket. I was the only one there who was planning on going to uni and thinking about the future. The kids there (even those in their 20's lol lived paycheck to paycheck, slacked off at work and had no idea nor did they care about where their life was going. Some of that mentality began to rub off on me so I quit as soon as uni started lol 5 years later I have a great job and those I stayed friends with are in the same spot and complaining about money issues. btw what's with us young people blaming and disrespecting boomers for everything?? I'm thinking this is more of an American thing, just like you guys are obsessed with white v black, republican v democrat etc. Everyone has a different experience with different people. Doesn't mean everyone is like that.
Jade is certainly an exception given her age and functionality but I hope others out there aren't dropping out of HS thinking they will truly make it considering the odds are stacked terribly against HS drop-outs. Lazy people who happen to be young are usually the offspring of lazy or unfit parents. But once the lazy youngsters are grown, they have zero excuses other than the fact that they are simply losers. Success and skill set have little to do with what generation you're from. It's lame when millennials and baby boomers bicker at each other. My parents are boomers and the young'uns stepping into the real world are the millennials (suppose that makes me Gen X). The problem the boomers seem to have with the millennials is that the millennials are viewed as growing up more sheltered and coddled which ill-prepares them for the real world. The whole "participation trophy" concept completely backfired and we all know it... but we shouldn't assume every millennial bought into that concept.

Yess girl! I remember when I was young, I would go around my house and collect toys I didn’t want anymore (and maybe stole my siblings toys too) and I would set up a table in my front yard and sell them. Now Im in the process of starting my first business and building up my streams of income. You go girl!

For me it's always been because my opportunities and experiences are going to be different from a guy's opportunities and experiences. If a man tells me how he makes money, I can't trust that I'll be able to do it the same way, but if a woman tells me how she makes money, I can imagine myself in her situation and feel more comfortable with her advice because it comes from a similar place.

There is a Nigerian comedienne who says: "There are four things a Nigerian child can become when they grow up..... a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer, or a disgrace to the family." LOL!!!! 😂😂😂
I've never felt secure living off of one income. I've always felt like I might lose my job. Once I got a side hustle it helped me feel more independent 😀and less concerned about job loss. I've been making an easy $2k a week off of posting other peoples' rentals on Craigslist. It's been working for years now.
Omg - my first business was doll sales and RUclips videos too!! 😄 I did it with vintage Baby Alive dolls. I agree, it is so fun especially when you love the type of dolls you're selling enough to be an expert on them! Great video!
I REMEMBER PULLIP DOLLS! Omg this unearthed a deep seeded memory of mine. I used to be obsessed. They had a store here in LA where they had tea parties and I would go there all the time as a kid. Wow I can't believe I forgot.
love the energy! love the vibe! I envy you :) First ever vid i've seen so you might've answered this question 1 million times BUT how do you grow an audience? Posting a lot? reaching out? gonna look through more of your vids rn!
Honestly I’ve tried all of these methods and it takes time. Lots and lots of time to scale... For the people that want fast results. Fastest way I made my first 100k is in the stock market 👨🏻💻📈 Ever since then I haven’t looked back.
What you were doing wasn’t dropshipping...you were an amazon FBA which is like dropshipping but more a a hassle. Beginner drop shippers should never store their own inventory it’s a recipe for absolute disaster.
So for an example, help me understand LMFAOOOO.. so let’s say I wanna open an boutique and wanna drop ship with aliexpress. So do I just buy with the customer money through aliexpress and then send it to the customer. So I don’t have any inventory .. I hope this all make sense 😭
bbygirl Oh sweetie...if only “open[ing] a boutique” was that easy. Every airhead whose heard of drop-shipping thinks about opening a boutique. The only reason I would ever recommend you finding your own supply and distributing/handling returns and defects/complaints/online marketing/seo is if your “boutique” is bringing in over 5k/month. But it’s clear I need to emphasize because you don’t really understand the proposition if dropshipping...which is taking a product that is already proven to sell, building the landing page, establishing ad sets, testing the product, scaling the product, then hiring staff to maintain the store. I’ve been doing this for awhile and being successful in this business is a unique skill set. I’ve seen a lot of shitty dropshipping boutique’s online. Not so many great ones. Most of the time they look scammy. Lol
Kevin Guan a viable option as opposed to what? Like having a job? Drop shipping is doable and profitable. But it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to run. The mistake most people make is believing this to be a get rich quick scheme. It certainly is not and it can be a money pit if you don’t know what you’re doing. You have to understand that this is a BUSINESS and you’re in the game to understand and learn the skill set. (Market research and competitor analysis, digital marketing and ad set and ad creative creation, web design and search engine optimization, the inner administrative workings of running your own store, product selection and negotiation and discovery. There’s a lot to this mate. It’s only “market[ing] a product” to those who’ve been doing this for awhile. Otherwise there’s no simple answer to your question. I would begin learning as much as possible about Facebook ads.
Where have you been for the past 5 years of my life?!! I've literally been flipping through books, watching tons of videos, subscribing to newsletters to get the kind of information you put out here

I was you as a child. I literally got so excited when I learned the word “entrepreneur” and decided that’s what I was. 😂

You are extremely intelligent. People automatically assume that getting degrees and being a perfect student makes you super smart and will make you successful and rich- but honestly, what I've seen through working in corporate america to working with entrepreneurs, I've seen that the richest, most successful people think and act just like you do. Outside the box with a lot of hustle. Good for you girl- you should be proud of yourself! Yassss girl. Keep inspiring and sharing your thoughts and advice!

Girl 300k!! So proud of you girl!!
I came here because of the title and my interest in building my own business...but your personalty and energy is so enjoyable to watch :D
Having multiple streams of income is so important! Some people think itʻs crazy but what happens if you lose your job and its the only source of money coming in?! Iʻd rather work part time and have 3 different income streams than work full-time for one! Keep up the good work Jade!
So true
I wanted to listen to all of it expecting to be amazed by some bs story. As someone who is doing like half of what you mention, I realize you're NOT throwing bs and you0're the real deal, at SUCH A YOUNG AGE. It's incredible! I hope you inspire all your generation to become digital hustlers.

I LOVE THIS VIDEOOO! I currently work in an entrepreneurship business that provides 2 incomes in itself but I literally made a list of like 14 more extra incomes so watching this is awesome!
I have so much respect for you - you’re too humble 🙏🏽
Lmao I always trust women more when it comes to talking about his stuff I don’t know why
Same. I literally skipped the videos of men and clicked on the first woman I saw 🤣
Less... charismatic? Men make me feel like they are pitching an MLM to me.
@@tedeibeakawaii mlm. agree xD
my parents see being a youtuber as a disgrace, typical african parents but hey if i end up being a doctor or scientist then i guess it was worth it.
“Typical African parents” Lmao I felt that
It's so sad that majority of ethnic parents discourage kids from being themselves - they underestimate how much it hinders their success and satisfaction in life
Just letting you know you aren’t gonna become a doctor playing apex legends on the internet
Joey Flint no shit
There is a Nigerian comedienne who says: "There are four things a Nigerian child can become when they grow up..... a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer, or a disgrace to the family." LOL!!!! 😂😂😂
Feeling SO inspired right now. GET THAT COIN!!! 💚
I've never felt secure living off of one income. I've always felt like I might lose my job. Once I got a side hustle it helped me feel more independent 😀and less concerned about job loss. I've been making an easy $2k a week off of posting other peoples' rentals on Craigslist. It's been working for years now.

GRRRR MY GIRL CRUSH HERE IN RUclips!!!!!!!!! LOVEALOT JADEEEE!
Lol
the society well said
Would drop shipping on shopify be a viable option? And how do you market your product?
Girl you talk really fast ❤️❤️ I really love your videos 😊 I'm learning your techniques right now
