- In this video we do a full tour of our school bus conversion. We have been living in our skoolie conversion for almost 2 years, and while we love it, it is the means to an end and is a temporary home while we build our house. We are fully off grid and have running water, shower, composting toilet, full size woodstove and an RV stove/oven in our skoolie.

I lived in an RV with slide outs in winter in the NE - YES YES YES to reflexit. I also put straw bales in contractor bags around the RV for skirting...game changer for heat sustainability

Hi guys, your house on the bus is very nice, I imagine the cold, in winter, but well you must be used to it, I really like the landscape of Canada, you like nature a lot, I follow several vlogers from there. Argentine who lives there. and it shows many provinces traveling, they are also known for manitoba where the Mennonites live, greetings from Argentina their subscriber, upload a video of how they met. Hey guys, just found your channel, you videos are awesome.
I've been living in my skoolie for a year now with hook-ups on a rented property. We are looking to buy off grid land in TN soon.
What woodstove is that? Our buses looks to be about the same size, (mine is 12 window) last winter we tried mr buddy, electric and a cheap diesel heater, we are wanting to switch to a wood stove this year.
Having a woodstove has been awesome if you get cold winters. I wouldn't reccomend that specific one as it is too shallow, so ash is constantly falling out and we get smoked out often. I can't remember the make off the top of my head but I'll let you know. I'd suggest finding one that is deeper. We are glad we have a full size wood stove though and not one of those mini's. This one is rated for an 1100 sq ft home, but as I'm sure you already know the windows let out a lot of heat!

Good video, guys. I wonder if there's a more transparent product you can use to insulate the windows in the winter time. Makes it kind of cave-ish, no?
We only put it up at night so it's not that bad , and at this point we just want to put money towards building a house so there's no point in spending anything on the bus. Thanks for watching and commenting :)

Yes! Everything organic composts wonderfully in our compost pile when we empty our compost toilet!
