  • THIS is the dramatic moment Ukraine’s special forces swooped on a suspected collaborator accused of betraying her country’s heroic defenders.
The Sun joined a squad of elite Alpha Force troops and secret intelligence agents to nab a village leader accused of high treason.
They screeched into bomb-scarred Kutuzivka, in rural Kharkiv province, in an unmarked civilian car after it was liberated by Ukraine’s armed forces.
It was part of a nationwide blitz on traitors and turncoats accused of helping Russian invaders.
Nadiya Antonova, secretary of the local council, was accused of revealing the names of soldiers, police and counter-terrorism specialists who would have formed the backbone of local resistance.
She also passed on the identities of hunters and park rangers whose knowledge of the countryside would have made them perfect partisan fighters, prosecutors alleged.
The powerful official was found cowering in the basement of a bombed-out government building when the Alpha troops pinpointed her position, in the countryside outside Kharkiv.
In echoes of World War Two - when Nazi collaborators were rounded up as the Allies advanced across Europe - she was read her rights under martial law and frogmarched past a handful of residents in the almost abandoned village. As shock turned to anger, she yelled: “Traitor! You think you’ve found a traitor?
“Shame on you. I was here the whole time. How do you think we lived here?”
She was accused of forcing residents to wear white armbands in a show of support for Russian forces. Russian troops wore white and orange armbands while Ukrainians wore yellow, green and blue.

Actually press should NOT be allowed as it is an invasion of privacy (or at least blur out her face). Under a fair system everyone should be innocent until proven guilty.
But I guess as it is Martial Law at the moment she can be treated guilty until proven innocent.

Something which is severely lacking in Russia, where you can be jailed for 15 years for calling this war a war & if you oppose Putin, you can be poisoned, or shoot yourself "whilst trying to escape"...
Russia is indeed controlled by the 21st century's fascist regime.

Well, Ukraine isn't France, and this is what will be the start of World War III if Ukraine can't push the Russians out. It looked to me like they had a "court" type of process and they explained what she was accused of, where she was being taken and what would happen next. I doubt that it will be a military court that will have the final word in her case. More likely, it will be handed off to the Attorney General of Ukraine. France was just a brutal melee of mob violence against anyone accused of anything during the German occupation. There were even instances of Resistance women who had been working 'collaborators' in order to gain intelligence that were brutalized. Mobs suck because no matter what the situation is, their I.Q. drops to zero. In this case, there was no mob, only soldiers making an arrest.

Or maybe she really does harbor Russian sympathies. Or maybe she or someone in her family has some previous scores to be settled with some of these solders family. I'm guessing ALOT of decades old scores that have nothing to do with Russia are being settled these days. Of course this person was presented as a traitor. There was also a story like this in regards to Russian military being able to capture Izium. But you could easily imagine the Russians figuring out that these people might have information that could help them, and then using some 'creative' methods to secure the cooperation of those individuals. I don't know this is the case, though. They could just be scumbags. In the US I have no doubt there would be many traitors in a war on US soil.

Just like bombing of train station in Krematorsk by their own military with undeniable proof it was Ukrainians (serial number belonging to UA, direction of impact site - rocket tail pointing towards deep inside UUkrainian controlled territory). But that are now western values - to kill its own just to blame others for it.
