Lots of endurance required for this this one, you guys are clearly experienced. But even I would give it a shot to see those beautiful views! 🤩 it’s an honor to be featured with such a great film
Your music is a real emotive force in the film Ethan , it activates a inspiration to climb .. This imagination of climbing is like a seed . . Thank you for making such wonderfully interesting music . . Thansk for sharing it with me and others... Regards Owen
This was for Joe , same with lug last week .27 degrees yesterday was tough going up there We could have been there earlier if it wasn't for the five hours driving . .😂😂 Thanks for your support Andrew
Indeed it is ten miles of endurance . . The concentration is the fun challenge on this one . Trying not to fall over when everything wants you to fall over . A climb without injury is the best climb of all .
These two hills have been on the cards for too long ,between injuries and fitness and excuses they were left undone last year .. They have been haunting my well being . . So in a way the night mare is over . The view though, was worth all the hardship , all the toil , all the time . . . Hope you are well brother . Thanks
It is a difficult climb in good or bad weather .. it's often you will encounter someone really struggling or brought to tears by the distance or by one false move . I've seen rocks tumbling down the hill with people Dodging them by inches .. so care must be taken while one advances 20 steps and you wait and watch the ground . Even picking out a trail to proceed is tiring . I'm just very glad we both came out of it with tiredness .
Finally getting some time to sit and watch this. Well worth the effort for those view, be a great place for a wild camp overnighter, or even a hike to another one of the peaks there and camp again. Reading the description, sorry to hear about your friend Jim and I'm sure he'll be glad you conquered the hight mountain in Ireland. Well done. Happy hiking!
Amazingly well shot and edited film Owen But the climbing wow what a mountain 🏔️ 🇮🇪 some beautiful views but looked dry as a bone up there (I felt the thirst guy’s 🥵) This is one the list 👍🤠 Very best regards Simon 🤠🙏🏼🏔️ (Love the music 🎶)
Thanks for the compliment on the footage , was difficult to chop three minutes offit , but it made it better just sticking to timing . So many great shots on the descent. Tempted to upload it .
Yo couldn't have asked for a better day. Its sone hike tho. We wer delighted when we got on top of the ladder then realised we still had abit to go, but savage views from the top. Great film Owen. Love your still of editing
There were three more minutes of the ladder 😀.. may they rest in peace . It is a devil .. but the view .. the view . I stopped Joe there and said breath that sh1t in . . Cheers brother ..
It's not possible to convey the size with just 2 dimensions . Nor the efforts involved in staying safe . 100 percent effort for this mission . But such satisfaction to tick the box that has for a year now remained a box .
Great video Owen 👍 you made it look easy 😁 I'm heading to the Kingdom this weekend, all excited now after watching your video, well done to you both 👊🍀
Well done & nicely filmed once more. And great choice of boots. Thanks for this, great memories for me, I was there (my one visit to Ireland) in 2011. You make me realise I should visit again. And.... I am a calf enthusiast 😂
These are my second pair of the same boot . . I find them excellent . Traction control . The film had to get done , it's as if the world itself made it happen . . When I got home 19 hours after setting out I found it difficult to hear conversations . Total limits . . Not sure if I'd do this one again . It'll be a different route and an overnight camp . The logistics of organisation with two adults is a kin to landing man on the moon , so it was done in one day . Glad the footage came out clear .. I still feel bad about your camera's you lost on your mission
@@lifesahobby Oh. Bless you, thanks so much. I’ve replaced the Osmo, it was less expensive than I feared but the other will have to wait. At least my Fuji was in the van. I was wondering if you’d be tackling MacGillyCuddy’s Reeks if not already? I intend to say hello to you soon… it’s already filmed (in Scotland, with my Irish friend Patrick) but needs editing. You’re doing really well but I like to mention my favourite channels from time to time & you’re well deserving! Very best to you both
That's quite the mission! Nice hike and the views were great😁 Makes me want to get out there and go hiking 🥾 The weekend will be here soon😊 Yep, sometimes the way I head up mountains is because I don't know another way too😀 Great work and thanks for sharing 😄
Awesome video bud. The ladder looks so different. The music at the beginning brings such an eerie dimension to it. The photographic views at the top were so colourful. I had hoped to revisit there tomorrow. But work is mounting up. Pun seriously intended. LOL and not sure if I am recovered enough from the week just gone. Lug and Galtee, mainly the six hours on Galtee.
I could feel the effects of lug up there yesterday. It was like a magnifying glass under the sun . Would suggest a pre sunrise start for the summit with current conditions .
@@lifesahobby That us an excellent suggestion. I was down there last year on the hottest day. And a head start on the sun would be the best way to go. I usually do it in five and a half hours. But that day took eleven hours. I was with another guy. But there again, it was a day to remember. Burns on all. Shorts, T-shirt and very little else. I gathered up my bits on the way back. LOL. Well you did great with the weather. And the views are better on a sunny day. LOL
@@lifesahobby I think if you have a two euro coin, you can work magic. LOL There is a lovely camp site there. I stayed on two different nights last year. And you get free parking by the campsite. Which is very convenient. Great facilities included. 👍
We rolled up and it just opened, but I see what you mean by magic , clever . Would love to camp there but cannot organise the logistics to do it. So we wild camped driving in the car .
I had run out of all drinking water towards the end and had a bit of river .. Went back to the car and drank 500ml , made another fry and Joe got us coffee and apple tart . Was a worthy day
