Dawn of War is arguably the greatest warhammer video game of all time and along with Lord of the Rings, is one of the biggest influences on my relationship with Warhammer, and all things tabletop wargaming. It was the spark that lit the inferno which became my teenage Warhammer 40k obsession, as soon as I was immersed within the hobby I wanted to bring this game to life on the table. I made several attempts as a teen, inspired by a mid 2000’s White Dwarf article, and I actually planned to launch this project in 2018 but got distracted by Middle Earth but with Games Workshop currently cranking up the Nostalgia for early Warhammer 40k, I cannot resist any longer.

Yeah I'm pretty pumped! I'm buiulding a board for my Heresy stuff, but I'm thinking I'll give it a whirl for DoWW as well to see how fun it is at that scale!
Now that you mention it, it would actually be really rad to see you take on 6mm terrain. I'd watch a Legiones Imperialis video when it comes out for sure.

Mate is a lifesaver. I've been building this whole channel in a single tiny bedroom till now, I cannot stress how much more productive I can be when I'm not constantly cleaning, sorting and packing up and packing down haha

a pair of retro quad roller skates would look smashing, which is why I’ve built my own softbox and made a key light with it to manage to publish my first video while I save up for some even better lights :)

This is so cool. I always loved dawn of war. I would really love to see you do something like this with battle for middle earth! I always thought it would be cool just to make the structures for terrain but I’m sure you would do amazing with it!

So is spray paint safe to use with extruded polystyrene, I'm not sure if it is or not although I guess it's what you used for the boards so it should be safe

I understand that it was probably impossible given the time constraints, but god plaster rock moulds have ruined foam carved natural rock for me. They just look so insane.

It's criminal the relative lack of exposure you have had for the Dawn of War series. It is by far, the BEST, Warhammer 40k battle report I have seen and I hope that there are more in the future!

Sorry mate, I actually forgot to shoot proper final shots for this badboy and had to use shots from the battle report. I normally do better.

Want to fix Warhammer? Easy - ditch the idiotic rules and codexes and replace them with something playable and challenging like a modded version of Chain of Command (by the Too Fat Lardies).
It's too bad, that for all of 40ks great miniatures and lore, it has one of the worst gameplay systems of any on the market attached to it.
It certainly has it's issues, but I find it works well enough for a casual beer and pretzels approach. When I want something really elegant I would play SBG or Legion, or if I'm craving a Nostaglia hit with a little more gloss it's HH2.
Have you tried Grimdark Futures or any of those 'not 40k but really 40k' style games? I haven't yet dabbled but I've heard good things.

How are you spraying the foam without it melting????
Rustoleum doesn't have a particularly aggressive propellant, and if you spray it from far enough away it evaporates before it hits the foam surface and doesn't stuff it too much, and high density extruded poly is a bit more resistant to melting :)
