  • Hello NeXT Community : I'm working on a Show Case Display for Grooverlabs.org as a tribute to Curt Gridley developer of Lotus Improv for NeXT. Tracy , his wife delivered the equipment here to me in Fort Collins this afternoon .
Curt passed recently from pancreatic cancer and it really hits home for me .
As my dad 89 is in the hospital today and the second surgery went well to remove cancer from his Urethra and they saved the kidney knock on wood.
I'm happy because he is in good spirits and will be back home with mom tomorrow. It is difficult for me to drive as I have a fractured hip but with a Dr's visit on the 8th down that way I think I'll surprise them.
So I'm going through tuning it up, refurbishing and upgrading everything for her.
No charge we are just trading NeXT items and it feels good to do stuff for the NeXT community and it will be a neat display. Happy 4th of July !
Improv is one of my all time favorite NeXT apps.
I'm also uploading a very rare Lotus Improv for Windows application Video; I don't think it was ever released. Lotus pulled the plug on development.
I'm hoping we strike gold and the source for Improv is on one of the disks as I have permission to extract it .
I'm hoping it exists if we can recompile it quad fat for the community. It was only available for NeXT 68K Computers
I have to Bernouli Disks 150 Mb ,
    I'm hoping I have a working 150Mb Bernouli drive a rare best .
and a NeXT Optical Disk that has .9 scratched out and backup scratched out.
Trying it out now whilst multitasking and recording the Improv for Windows video.
Also his personal NeXT station may yield fruit fingers crossed !
Stay Tuned More fun stuff to come from the Black Hole .
I'm trying to get it done for her by tomorrow evening.
    Best Regards Rob Blessin
