@PC the Internet User There have been plenty of in-game trainers who have starters before, like the Torterra trainer in Sinnoh’s victory road, the bulbasaur line had many in Kanto, etc.
People rag on the Kalos Gym Leaders, but they have their charms. You have a passionate photographer, an adventurous rock climber, a fun-loving roller skater who likes to joke around while still encouraging her Pokemon to be the strongest fighters they can be, an elderly gentlemen who appreciates how small things can still be strong, a science guy who's living his life the way he wants, a flaky and beautiful lady who likes to play dress up, a space-loving psychic who gives you encouragement and doesn't charge you four dollars a minute just to talk with her, and a potbellied guy who cares about Pokemon and waxes philosophical. I think the photographer, the roller skater, and the guy showing off both his coat and his muscle shirt are my favorites.

I remember being pretty shocked when I first played X/Y because of the gap between getting the first and second gym badges. It wasn’t a bad thing at all, but I don’t remember another game that had that, at least for early gyms.
Hopefully when a Pokemon Z or something similar (Kalos sequel) comes out, developers will: -Buff up all the gym leaders' pokemon levels. +3 Levels for Viola until Ramos' Pokemon and +6 levels for Clemont until Wulfric's. -add a 4th pokemon for Ramos until Wulfric. -add a mega abomasnow for Wulfric. -give the leaders' ace Pokemon Sitrus Berries -Let leaders use potions at least 3 times in battle - make exp.share applicable for only one pokemon again.
I love the Exp Share the way its been since X & Y makes raising a team so much easier I have played since Red, Blue & Yellow and I love how easy the games are becoming I really enjoy them now.
Guido R Clemont was my personal gym leader punching bag. A Heliolisk as his ace?? Very speedy, akin to if not faster than Raichu. But like Raichu, it's a glass cannon. Fun fact: despite Gen 6 being essentially a beta for Gen 7 (seriously folks found the gym leaders forgettable yet what about the Team Flare admins?). It still had more post-game content that SwSh, think about it name one brand new location, dungeon or cave you get to visit after completing the SwSh story? Meanwhile post-game X/Y still had Mewtwo's cave, A town dedicated to competitive battling, Friend safaris, Zygarde's dungeon, Looker's side quest etc (despite the several locations you didn't get to visit in Kalos). Not trying to hate on Gen 8 or anything but those who call Gen 6 "barebones" just remember the first mainline 3DS Pokémon game was cheaper yet had way more content than the first mainline Switch Pokémon game (the same game that a large chunk of its assets can be traced back to Gen 6) some food for thought.
Like it says in the book. Well, that’s true, but when rematching, I, in all honesty, thought they would be a different challenge, with different teams and sets of moves.
You can rebattle them in the Battle Chateau. Granted, their teams are still pretty weaksauce because they only use three Pokemon when they should have a full team of six (same for the Elite Four and Champion there too, especially Diantha since she had less Pokemon than she did at the League), but the option to rebattle them is still there.
This wont be a standard 'They were too easy' comment i promise you (even though its true lol) but the Kalos Gyms were probably my favourite Gyms in terms of their character design and actual gym design, their theme is unique and has its on pacing, I wish more of them like Wulfric for example could've possessed a mega stone to show how native Mega Evolution was at the time of the XYZ Era, Sorta like what they did in Alola where a particular trainer possessed a particular typed Z crystal corresponding to their type.
People: *use exp. share, have game on switch instead of set mode* "Ugh the Kalos gym leaders are so easy! What pushovers!" No duh cause you're playing with the training wheels on.
If anything when people say older gens are harder its because its their first game or they are young and stupid so of course its hard but after that you understand it more so things get much more easy
I've said it before, but the gym leaders were so easy... Such potential wasted. Korrina though was the most memorable of them all. Hope to see her in a future game as a Champion/Rival/Elite Four.
I highly disagree not only because there will most likely never be an x and y remake but because it would make no sense to include her over any other more recognizable character such as clemot
I think it's the same voice actor and that also goes for Korrina and Amy Rose if you're watching the English dub (the latter two were both voiced by Lisa Ortiz)
Does anyone else think Valerie looks like a younger version of Titania from Mahoutsukai no Yome? Now that I've seen that show I just can't get that image out of my head ... she's even the Fairy Type Gym Leader for crying out loud 😂😂😂 Thanks for another fun vid Mixeli =^_^=
Out of these gym leaders, Olympia stands out the most, to me, followed by Valerie. I like their designs a whole lot. And I'll admit, Viola managed to body me when I started. Her -Surshit- Surskit and Siebold's Gyarados managed to sweep my teams. Fucking water/Bug type to counter my Fennekin... And this is coming from someone who heelstomp SM AND USUM without getting destroyed by anyone, not even Ultra Necrozma could put me down.
So I finally got this game last week and played it blind and I found it very easy, the gym battles disappointed me. After beating Korrina and getting the use of Mega evolving, I was thinking that the gym leaders after her would have the use of Mega evolving and it disappointed me that they didn't. Just made it much easier for us
I gotta be speaking the truth, I love Korrina. She's my favourite Gym Leader in Kalos because of her title 'Evolution Fighter'. Korrina is an awesome Fighting Type Gym Leader because she makes me feel entertained with Mega Evolution by battling her Lucario.
I got really lucky with this game. A Japanese person traded me a Mega Charizard X, right before Korrina, and much more mega evolutions even before the post-game! Except for the time when I failed Mewtwo, and didn't save. At least I got Zygarde. Edit: Also, what starter did you choose at the beginning of the game? I chose Froakie.
If ANY games in the series needed enhanced versions it was X&Y, harder gyms (well harder trainers in general tbh) and EVERY mandatory trainer after unlocking Mega Evolution needed to have a Mega Evolution, but if I recall correctly the only trainers you encounter after you unlock Mega Evolution who actually have one are Lysandre and Diantha.
The only way to get Surskit in X and Y without cheats and trades is by breeding Masquarain. She spent the time and effort to get a weaker Pokémon. I know it's for the Bug type's weaknesses but seriously?
i love all Kalos gym leaders! Sure they are weak, but their designs, gym designs and the concept behind them are very creative! They feel like they have distinct personality. They are probably my favorite set of gym leaders after the Unova gym leaders, Sinnoh and probably Johto. I just can't decide between the four! Same goes for their respective elite four and champions.
Worst gym leader roster in the series, in my opinion. I honestly forgot most of their names until watching this again. So much more could've been done with these characters.
I've learned that people start hating on new pokemon games that have been released only to come back and start saying "Oh, this game was awsome!" or "This games music is great!" Sadly, a lot of people don't appreciate what every game has to offer.
When i first played Pokemon X, (My first pokemon game) and got to Valerie, i thought that Sylveon she had was pretty, but it was NOTHING compared to MY Sylveon. I was like, “THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE SYLVEON!” And i one shotted hers. Next playthrough i had my same team, although i kinda regret it, cause i didnt want to fight my most Faithful team member, (Both in X and Omega Ruby) she was really helpful, and defeating her would make me guilty, and i didnt have heart scales and my lucario didnt know any steel moves except for Metal Sound, but at least my talonflame knew steel wing. I still regret it, but at least i was able to beat her.
Finally finished this game on second try now I have two more games ( alpha sapphire , ultra sun and moon ) to finish before I pre order sword and shield
Viola: Fenniken and Fletchling sweep Grant: a little harder but came over with Scraggy, Steelix, and Luvdisc Korrina: Delphox Ramos: Charizard, Delphox, and Talonflame, Flabébé was there for moral support Clemont: Delphox, Whirlipede, Lucario, and Floette was there for moral support once more Valerie: Delphox, Charizard, Scolipede, Floette was getting pretty good Olympia: Delphox, Absol, Charizard but sadly no Floette... Wulfric: Delphox, Delphox, and... Delphox I suppose... Floette where are you..? Malva: Delphox, Lapras, Zweilous Siebold: Damn this was hard... Lucario, Lapras, Zweilous, Delphox, Charizard Wikstrom: all my foretypes and Lucario Drasna: hardest of the bunch her Dragalge took out my Charizard X, and her surf kept dowsing Delphox, Zweilous was too slow, Lucario and Lapras tried their best but it wasn't going well, so I took my last pokemon and She sweeped the team of Dragons. Ill never forget my Florges Diana: Delphox and Lucario took down Tyrantrum, Gourgeist and Hawlucha. Lapras took care of Goodra. Aurorus was shook by Charizard earthquake. And I decided to let Mega Gardevoir to get burnt by the sun and moon combo of Moonblast and and Solar Beam. Never had so much fun with a team. Dedicated to all the memories and challenges, I didnt like using legendaries, so I made my team a legend in itself.
I played without Exp. Share and learned if played with Exp. Share off, and be equal level..... these guys are actually challenging. The hardest is Siebold and that DAMN Gyarados. Turned it back on after i completed the game tho....😅😅😅
ik that this was from two years ago but i'm gonna respond anyway LMAO I think it's because Amaura has this ability called "Refridgerate" Refridgerate is an ability that that turns the user's normal-type moves into ice-type moves and also increases the attack by 1.3x. So if you have Take Down, a normal type move on a pokemon with that ability, it is now an Ice Type move and can probably hit other pokemon for super effective.

Now I’m thinking of a Super Pokémon League that unlocks after beating the gym leaders *AGAIN* once you’re champion.

Yeh, mega abomansnow wouldve been cool... Or glalie if he had it on. His team
Thanks for reminding me about them, completely forgot who they were. Just finished the video and now I’m gonna try and recite them. Viola....em.. 🤔
LOL
Para mi mis lideres de gimnasio favoritos son el primero Lino segunda corelia i la Tercera valeria
People: *use exp. share, have game on switch instead of set mode*
"Ugh the Kalos gym leaders are so easy! What pushovers!"
No duh cause you're playing with the training wheels on.
Why would you turn it off!? That just makes grinding, and that's tedious.
Duh
@@Kappa5938 to make the game harder, therefore more time consuming
Nicholas Sisneros You turn it off for EV training.
If anything when people say older gens are harder its because its their first game or they are young and stupid so of course its hard but after that you understand it more so things get much more easy
When you’re not here to see the battles. You’re just here to see what team he used.
It's definitely a shame we couldn't rematch these guys.
The possibility of giving them Megas in their rematches could have been amazing.
Duuuude that'll be SO AMAZING AND challenging! I LOVE that
In the Battle Chateau the gym leaders CAN spawn there but even then I think only Korrina uses mega evolution
Bro the theme on the kalos gym is soo cool when it starts
17:00 I always hear Clemont's anime voice and hear Yuya Sakaki from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V anime
I think it's the same voice actor and that also goes for Korrina and Amy Rose if you're watching the English dub (the latter two were both voiced by Lisa Ortiz)
Does anyone else think Valerie looks like a younger version of Titania from Mahoutsukai no Yome? Now that I've seen that show I just can't get that image out of my head ... she's even the Fairy Type Gym Leader for crying out loud 😂😂😂
Thanks for another fun vid Mixeli =^_^=
Out of these gym leaders, Olympia stands out the most, to me, followed by Valerie. I like their designs a whole lot. And I'll admit, Viola managed to body me when I started. Her -Surshit- Surskit and Siebold's Gyarados managed to sweep my teams. Fucking water/Bug type to counter my Fennekin... And this is coming from someone who heelstomp SM AND USUM without getting destroyed by anyone, not even Ultra Necrozma could put me down.
cool bro i never seen your kalos team its cool and a nice compilation
So I finally got this game last week and played it blind and I found it very easy, the gym battles disappointed me. After beating Korrina and getting the use of Mega evolving, I was thinking that the gym leaders after her would have the use of Mega evolving and it disappointed me that they didn't. Just made it much easier for us
Grant was like, the guy I had the most trouble with. Everyone else was just a bit too easy.
Same when I first played it
Just grant is hard orthers are very easy
I love this gym leaders a lot because Kalos is one of my favorite generation.
*PD:* what's the name of the font used in the video??
Those were the days... When Fairy Was Neutral against Itself...
I laugh because his machines always explode😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
That clip outside the tower:
Time flies so fast, i played this game at 2015, 😢 i like backsound and theme song pokemon x y, so memorable🥹
Kalos Gym Leaders: Weakest to Strongest:
8. Viola
7. Wulfric
6. Grant
5. Ramos
4. Korrina
3. Clemont
2. Valerie
1. Olympia
Just turn off exp share its hard
Did I just watch Wulfric's Avalugg defeating something?
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS WORLD
Well it is the HIGHEST level out of any pokemon from a gym leader in the whole series at level 59
Man, I thought the gen 5 leaders were forgettable but this bunch takes the cake. Couldn't remember a single one of them.
gen 5 is the most iconic
Cool video like always mixeli
ZoneStrike -Roblox And Clash Royale! Vcvcvvc.
“Yessssss another mixeli vid!”
This makes me wanna play x and y
I wonder if Valerie is the youngest of Kimono Girls?
You certainly picked some better fights than NintendoCentral did.
Clemont the future is Here thanks to science
It's the future is NOW thanks to Science. Old man
Those were legendary games
I love how your video doesn't have annoying people voice
My favorite gym leader is clemont and I love him in the anime
I completely agree
I like how Viola takes a picture of you before you battle
The only way to get Surskit in X and Y without cheats and trades is by breeding Masquarain. She spent the time and effort to get a weaker Pokémon. I know it's for the Bug type's weaknesses but seriously?
A masquerain that early in the game was never an option.
Yes I finally got to look deeper into your team
U are the best Mixeli, when u bringing back the Title Defense challenges?
later I want to focus on this first ;)
Mixeli OK
Nostalgia was gold with this one
The characters and the graphics of the gym place// looks so cool!!!😱😱😱😱 But the battles are: eh😑😑😑 They're easy
Earliest I’ve been to video. Still not first.
Always loved Olympia's Gym
QOTD-1: Wulfric, just because..
*smacc*
Chespin was a great choice for this video 👍
OOOH I LOVE THESE VIDEOS!
Viola now knows what is like to battle miltank
Ill be honest that Gym Leader theme caught me off guard the first time, and my first Pokémon game was White
i love all Kalos gym leaders!
How was Grant’s Amara doing super effective damage with take down ?
Amauras ability "Refrigerate" transforms Normal-type moves into Ice-type moves. :)
Honestly, the Kalos leaders were filled with potential, only to be scrapped away. They don't even have their own 3d models either in battles.
Wulfric:I haven't worn a coat since I was 5 years old.
Oh man, I remember doing a Nuzlock of this a few years ago. I think I made it up to Valaries gym
Worst gym leader roster in the series, in my opinion. I honestly forgot most of their names until watching this again. So much more could've been done with these characters.
Diego Carvajal ikr? The kalos gym leaders are too easy and weren’t even much of a challenge.
Only because overpowered exp share...
Y’all have amnesia? I remember every bit of x and y
I've learned that people start hating on new pokemon games that have been released only to come back and start saying "Oh, this game was awsome!" or "This games music is great!" Sadly, a lot of people don't appreciate what every game has to offer.
Grant was the pinnacle of my existence
The future is now, thanks to science!
Wow Science is so amazing
Snorelax doesn’t manhandle, he monsterhandles!
Good work
Thanks! ;)
I like the Fairy Type Valerie
I always had a problem beating Grant for some reason.
Viola: Fenniken and Fletchling sweep
Grant: a little harder but came over with Scraggy, Steelix, and Luvdisc
Korrina: Delphox
Ramos: Charizard, Delphox, and Talonflame, Flabébé was there for moral support
Clemont: Delphox, Whirlipede, Lucario, and Floette was there for moral support once more
Valerie: Delphox, Charizard, Scolipede, Floette was getting pretty good
Olympia: Delphox, Absol, Charizard but sadly no Floette...
Wulfric: Delphox, Delphox, and... Delphox I suppose... Floette where are you..?
Malva: Delphox, Lapras, Zweilous
Siebold: Damn this was hard... Lucario, Lapras, Zweilous, Delphox, Charizard
Wikstrom: all my foretypes and Lucario
Drasna: hardest of the bunch her Dragalge took out my Charizard X, and her surf kept dowsing Delphox, Zweilous was too slow, Lucario and Lapras tried their best but it wasn't going well, so I took my last pokemon and She sweeped the team of Dragons. Ill never forget my Florges
Diana: Delphox and Lucario took down Tyrantrum, Gourgeist and Hawlucha.
Grant is my favorite for some reason
Seems a bit overkill to go mega on a Gogoat, a Sylveon and a Meowstic man...
People want me to get serious. That's the result.
@@Mixeli murdering small creatures with a Dragon? XD
Wait a minute. How is Take Down super effective against Quiladin?
ik that this was from two years ago but i'm gonna respond anyway LMAO
I think it's because Amaura has this ability called "Refridgerate" Refridgerate is an ability that that turns the user's normal-type moves into ice-type moves and also increases the attack by 1.3x. So if you have Take Down, a normal type move on a pokemon with that ability, it is now an Ice Type move and can probably hit other pokemon for super effective.
