I realize that I am catching this video a couple of years late but man what a lot of great info. Glad I took notes. I learned more from this 2-hour video than I did from two other "complete" dispatching courses. Thank You.
You are welcome!
i love that joise was apart of this very jeje
This was very informative, I wish I could afford the classes
Thank you!
As far as not charging a carrier if I don't find them a load a trainer told me that you should not charge a carrier if you don't find them a load and also this is a great selling point when looking for carriers. "Mr. Carrier if you don't book a load from me then you owe me nothing and you are still free to utilize another dispatcher. Is that fair?" A carrier has more incentive to use your services.
Exactly
Love that you made this video, there are new dispatchers asking this very question in dispatch groups on FB. Will you be doing another one? But starting at the very very beginning , not assuming a carrier has already been found, Can you show even prior to that? step by step.
Can you add the dispatcher groups here ?
Thanks alot
How do I really trust that the surcharge for fuel is included in the brokers original pricing?
Great info I am taking plenty of notes. On the dispatcher getting paid thru the factoring company I heard other trainers say you want to avoid this method and invoice the carrier directly as you could be labeled by fmsca as a "broker" if the factoring company pays you directly. Have you heard this before?
Getting paid through factoring is no way, shape or form a type of brokering by definition or any other way. These trainers are not understanding this concept and are misrepresenting FMCSA by saying that they (FMCSA) can label or interpret this as brokering. Factoring companies offer programs and referrals to dispatch services for bringing them clients (carriers) to their factoring company. An additional bonus of this is paying the dispatch service the same time they pay the carrier. It is just an incentive, not brokering. Thank you for the great question!
Flat rate is just like a subscription service if you don't use it you still got to pay for it until you cancel.. it will be in your best interest just to use it or cancel it... I wish I can tell my insurance company I didn't get into no accident in the past 3 months so I shouldn't have to pay you
Do you always confirm with the carrier before booking a load or do you just proceed to book with the broker as soon as you call about the load?
confirm with the carrier. they can say yes before you make the call and receive a call that makes them say no by the time you call back. you just never know.
I see a lot of people say that you have to set yourself apart from other dispatchers but no one explains that . Bc basically I can’t show how I’m different if no one give me a chance , can you help me with this?
Your customer service will definitely set you apart. Whatever differentiators that make you different, include these as well. Good luck.
If the carrier asks me to have his form notarized by a notary, am I allowed to do that?
No, because the notary needs the person giving someone else permission to represent them available during notarizing.
This is 2023... Put a cap on it 😁
Are you here now
