      The basic math and science is that the Canadian economy is going to collapse in 20 years because there aren’t enough people working to pay for all the seniors and their health care. So the choice is between feeding old people to the wolves or loading up on immigrants now. It turns out that old people vote.

    If Canada is accepting all these immigrants and refugees from different countries, then making them sleep outside without any shelter or security, that is a violation of the United Nations Human Rights Agreement. We should be hearing from the organization if not actually having a physical presence of their humanitarian and security forces coming into our country to assist with our homeless situation.

      Ford removed rent controls for buildings built in 2018 and after, so rents are skyrocketing. Landlords of older buildings are renovicting tenants so that they, too, can bring in new tenants at higher rents. People can't afford to pay $2500 or more for a one bedroom. They're ending up on the streets. New immigrants will be in the same situation. There is no affordable housing. Affordable government apartments haven't been built in 30 years. Subsidized housing has a 14 year waiting list.

    • @DavidHalverson
      @DavidHalverson 11 месяцев назад

      lack of building homes (bungalows, cottages, etc.) instead of luxury mansions and condominiums is the biggest offender. Luxury apartments instead of regular apartments with regular amenities for daily living (ie., fridge and a stove, communal laundry room, and communal parking garage). Nobody should have a luxury apartment with built in jazuzzi bath, washer and dryer combo, stainless steel stove and fridge/freeezer, and a private parking space.

      People will have to start looking at settling in other provinces like Alberta or Quebec. Toronto (and much of Ontario) is becoming a place for the elite. Poor, working class and middle class are being priced out of their neighborhoods due to extreme rent increases and rising housing costs. Once affordable neighborhoods are being gentrified and vulnerable citizens displaced, many ending up on the streets.
