- With rookie camp underway, I'm scouring for info on all these kids. Looking for interviews, highlights, tape... I think we absolutely found a Diamond in the Rough with this kid. Right behind Jamree Kromah, I have Ian Wheeler with a definite shot to make this roster.
I feel like the Bears found an absolute diamond with this kid... we'll see

Nice find by RP and crew.
Obviously lots of other players have good relationships with their mothers, but for him to say his mom is his hero and that he played to make her happy is very sweet and wholesome. I love how this FO emphasizes character and consistently brings in mature, thoughtful, respectable players. It's a lot more fun to root for these guys than for predators and conspiracy theorists

@@Beardownsports I was shocked FR. Herbert is pry my favorite player tho so it's not easy. He was a good friend to my cuz LaCale London who is now in Atlanta last I heard. There was a shooting at LaCale's mom's house when he called home for mother's day. I was there right after, .50 cals just through the front of the house out the back. They never went public so I didn't. But I do know Juice was a big bro even then.
I am looking forward to the Bears special teams becoming special again.

I think so. I think he is on the Practice Squad but called up weekly. Homer knows the system, doubt he makes team at 2mil unguarteed tho. But I do see a Gadget tool to use at WR/RB as well. He can create space. Has some shake to him. Short area burst.
If Ian Wheeler is Run Blocking in the Nfl 😅😅😅 You got some scheme issues 😂 Even at WR on Run downs he should Streak to pull the CB out of the play. I'm big on Block/Slants but idk if our OC will use those.
Poles and his scouting staff are incredible, if Poles went to a yard sale he would probably find a Rembrandt and two Picassos for $12

That's actually not a bad comp, but yes, smaller. But man, he's not small. 5'10" 200+ lbs with those similar moves.

I really like the four names you gave of UDFA'S. With an emergency Qb spot available, Reed will be on the team. Wheeler & Kromah will earn 53 man spots and randolph will be on the practise squad as 1st priority at interior DL. That's good hunting by the scouting staff.

Love this guy! Idk why they didn’t use him more at Howard his ypc is insane. I hope he can pass block in the NFL - definitely one of the main weaknesses of our RB room last year
@AdamMason you were absolutely right about this guy!!!! What a steal. I want to see how he plays vs starting defenses because he didn't belong out there with the 2nd and 3rd stringers. That was too easy for him.
P.S. He WILL be poached if put on the Practice Squad. Hope he makes the 53! GO, #33 IAN!!

@@Beardownsports I don’t really see moves I just seeing a guy running making a small cut then running in a straight line. You definitely don’t confuse this guy with Hester or even Tarik cohen when it comes to moves and acceleration
Have not checked you for a few days but thank you making this video. Wheeler tape is excellent and as per usual with your analysis, you see he was not used enough in college. The other important points are that Homer had higher expectations as a contributor when he signed with the Bears but all he's done is collect a paycheck.
Blasingame is a good football player but since the draft he has become irrelevant in the Bears offense when they will be in a 3 wide receiver set most of the time. The bears will, most likely, use a TE in power running blocking formations - which was why getting cade stover should have been a priority!
Wheeler will wheel for the bears especially on ST and third long 3rd downs.
Football is football if you're good with football you're good with football.

Bears GM Ryan Poles should be fired for failing to outbid the Cowboys for undrafted free agent TE Brevyn Spann-Ford, a former Minnesota Golden Gopher.
he is so much better than former Kentucky TE Brenden Bates or current Bears TE3 Stephen Carlson. Poles now needs to re-sign Marcedes Lewis + former Bear Jesper Horsted.

No chance in hell he beats out Roschon. Roschon led this team in touches last year and his role is only getting stronger. Ian can definitely have an impact though
