This is one black 5 I have missed out on for some reason and I would have seen it in Barry years ago. Being an early black 5, it's great to see it is progressing so nicely. Yes it would be great to hear a representative talk about it, I'm always keen to hear more about these locos. Many thanks.

I am really pleased you enjoyed the video. Thank you very much for the feedback on it. I have had a passion for the Black 5’s ever since my early childhood, and it was great to see 45407 in action on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway back in mid 2009. We didn’t know it was going to be running. A couple of shots from this trip are already on RUclips but I hope to put up the remainder in the near future.

Coming along a treat. Any idea of the status of the boiler? Must admit, I couldn't resist the temptation to start a rumour the green splotches are testers for the eventual top coat (there's actually a 5in gauge one in Apple Green) just "because"
My first thought was 'Wow ..... that's a seriously nice facility they've got there. Wonder who/what gets first dibs on it when 45163 is back in the land of the living?".
My second thought was "Surely the shed gode plate should be 32G" (Potentially more appropriate than 30A or 30E .... if Black 5s, had ever been allowed/required on the M&GNJ?)

There will be a second video released about this particular Black 5 which will be an interview with one of the main people involved in the restoration of 45163. I was hoping to have it out before Christmas Day but it is taking much longer to complete than first anticipated. It should still be out on the channel before the end of 2023.

Great work well done. How about some lubrication on the roller door it is not a good start to an engineering piece.
