She claimed it was victimless. That's not true. Trump's loan resulted in other developers loans rejected, higher interest rates, and defrauding of Federal and State taxpayers, who footed the bill for his arguing of lower value of his properties. Not victimless in any way. We all paid for his fraud.

There was a point that they neglected. The judges explained that Trump never admitted that they were wrong, and his concern was that if he didn't maximize his judgment, he would continue to do it.
Well the judge also said Mar-a-lago was really only worth $18 million, and he never admitted to being wrong either, so I guess we can assume the judge will continue to do it as well.

The judge wasn't biased, the judge had every record of this cheat and liar right in front of him, you nor these women from The View does!
First of all, the judge didn't even give Letitia James everything she sued for, so the ruling is far from excessive. Letitia James wanted Trump's companies dissolved, but the judge only gave him a 3 year ban. And in the ruling, the judge said that he believed Trump would continue to commit fraud. Secondly, yes New York taxpayers were victims in this case. And the banks were victims too because they could've charged higher interest rates depending on the real value of his properties. And higher interest equals more money. Thirdly, anyone who believes that a $355 million fraud judgement proves some kind of a witch hunt is too stupid to deserve the right to vote anyway!
1. James asked for $370 Million and the judge approved $355 million, so yeah, she pretty much got what she asked for. 2. The judge went with a 3 year ban instead of dissolution of the company because that would hurt the thousands of employees who work there and the NYC economy as a whole. Interesting to note that after being convicted, Bernie Madoff was still legally allowed to do business in NY, whereas Trump is not. 3. NY taxpayers were in no way victims in this case. They were in no way party to the arraignments. 4. If the banks wanted to charge a higher interest they 100% could have. The fact that they didn't is their fault, not Trump's. This is why they never sued him, and they admitted during the trial they received all monies they were afforded.

I have no idea how these amounts are calculated. But, the fine was actually smaller than what the DA had asked for. She asked for $370M. I think the judge was going for something smaller, so people couldn't say it is excessive. And, BTW, next time a candidate doesn't reveal his taxes by the deadline, he/she should be disqualified from running. It might save the country decades of headaches and millions of tax dollars....just a thought.

You cannot overstate property values for loans then understate them for lower taxes. But for some reason Trump thinks this is normal.
People don't decide their own property valuation for paying taxes. It is the taxing authority that does that.
The bank has to agree to the deal.
What needs to happen now is that everyone in NY who has secured loans with the property as collateral needs to have their evaluations audited and prosecuted to the fullest extent if anything has been inflated. We can start with every single other property developer in NY.
This will not happen as the one and only goal here was, 'Get Trump'.

In fact, if he did get a lower rate, that means Trump paid MORE in taxes since he had less interest expense to write off. Secondly, Trump doesn't decide valuation of his own assets for property tax calculations. That is the taxing authority's responsibility.
