We're on a roll now my friends. It's another Maverick video, I know. The honeymoon will end soon, I'm sure. But I hope you still enjoy this video. Please like, comment and subscribe. Stay kind!
Maverick was training you 😂 Hahahahah Love dogs, they love unconditionally and love to make us laugh out loud. Hey Suzie, most of us love seeing your smiling face, so don't be camera shy 👍 Wayne, eventually Maveric will get it. Love you both, and hugs for the critters too (maybe even Glen) Peace
Oh boy, do I have a story to tell you about Glenn. I don’t t want to go into in this comment, but since you brought it up, I’ll text you privately, before I put it in a video.
Couldn't stop laughing. Same procedure I went through the first couple times I was putting my father-in-laws bull mastiff (90 lbs) into the back of his Acadia. Too old to jump in. My body called me names after I lifted him up and down the first times. Got an 8 foot ramp that folds up. Dog wanted nothing to do with it. Finally, got a harness with a handle and was able to train him. Fun to watch another member of the I Don't Know What I'm Doing Club get put through his paces.
I gut laughed 😂 when u tried to get him to go up the steps and he ended up going onto the seat and looked at you like what is he doing? I’m fine up here… ya can lead a horse to water…. Treats and time you will get him to be comfortable with the steps WP. Have a good one and hey to Suz the q!
It struck me the same way when he defied me and casually climbed into the front seat. I was almost in tears from laughter. I know he’ll eventually get it cuz he did the same thing the first time I tried to get him into the front seat to ride with me. Now he can’t wait to go for a ride. The only time he needs to be in the back is when Suzie rides with me so he has to learn.
😂😂😂you are so cute thinking your going to get him up those stairs!! You must have named Maverick for a reason??? I'm thinking it's because he does his own thing his own way!!! Your heart is the right place 😊 and the stairs are really nice and handy!! But dogs will be dogs and will do what you least expect at times😊😊. In the future there will most likely come a time when Maverick or YOU will want to use them . Keep us updated on his progress!!! And have fun!!!
FYI, our training session today was awesome. He actually used the stairs. This is while on a leash but just give me a few more sessions an and he’ll look like a natural stair lover! He’s still a Maverick but I’m more stubborn than he is. 😂😂
I think everyone thinks they have his sister. A "hot mess" seems to be a common trait among this breed. Unless you seriously think she is his sister. Do you live in northeastern Ohio?
Does the shock collar even work on him? I read due their extra fur and skin around the neck that they don’t work on the breed. I haven’t tried on my dog because of this.
It works if you use the longer probes and trim the fur on their neck. You also need to tighten the collar until you can only fit one or two fingers between the collar and the neck. It’s important not to keep the collar on them for more than 12 hours to prevent skin irritation. I set the shock level so that I can see him react but not yelp. Since I always associate a harsh “NO” with the shock, I very seldom have to use the shock mode. He responds to no every time. I trained him to come to me when he hears the bell function so now I can loosen the collar and use it as a “come home” call.

You nailed it Mike. I thought it would be easy but little did I know I was gonna be made the fool. Haha!
I couldn’t stop laughing, you can ride in the back and Maverick and Suzie can sit up front 😅
Haha, I’m sure that’s what he was saying to me. I even have steps to climb up easily. 😂

@@WaynePolcin Let's see how stubborn you are 😁😁😁
Good evening Wayne, maybe if you practice with your truck Maverick will be enticed to use them since he won't be able to just climb in the cab.
That’s another great idea Terry! I’ll give it a shot.
But I ride just fine in the front seat, lol😂
That’s exactly the look he had on his face as he sat staring at me. I’m such an idiot, 😂😂
@@WaynePolcin have the same problem with both our pups. They will ride all day in the truck but want no part of being in the back of the Gator
Teach Maverick to drive the 4 wheeler and you can ride in the back. 🤣He'll get the idea just give him some time.
Haha, he definitely outsmarted me. He probably already knows how to drive the machine.
my dogs did the same thing with some ramp training
I’m sure. It takes a lot of practice. Maverick is getting better at it. I’ll update you with another video soon.
We may have his sister, who is also a hot mess 😂

Where did you get that staircase out of curiosity?
