This Is How To Build A 30 x 36 Pole Building In One Day
Materials arrived on Monday. The builders arrived and completed the build on Tuesday. That's efficiency. It was a perfect day to build a pole bard or, in this case, an oversized carport. I want to thank Double L Construction, LLC for their excellent quality and workmanship. Thanks also to Steve from Holmes Lumber and the young man from Premier Metals. Here are their web links:

My Dog Steals Chicken Eggs So I Did This
Просмотров 203День назад
I have a Great Pyrenees puppy. He's a great dog. But just like humans, dogs too can develop bad habits. Maverick has found out that he can steal eggs from the chicken coop when I'm not looking. But when I'm with him, he never even tries to enter the coop. So how can I teach him not to go into the coop if I can't catch him doing it? This video demonstrates my idea to keep him out of the coop whe...

    It's amazing the effect of lowering the bucket had on the root base. I was thinking back to lifting over your obstacles, where the logs are on the grade and the tractor was lacking traction.

    I guess what I’m asking is should the striker bolts be able to come out?

  • @btritt2004
    @btritt2004 День назад

    At 11:31 you show taking those screws out. Mine don’t seem removable, yet the ones in my new lock (like the one you installed) won’t fit into my old striker plate, which I can’t remove unless I take the whole door frame off.

    • @WaynePolcin
      @WaynePolcin День назад

      If you have the same part then they should be removable. The ones that came on my new latch didn’t fit my striker plate either, which is why I removed them and installed the ones from the old latch. I know that the screws are held in by a very strong thread locker, so you will need a lot of torque to break them free.

    After watching this video I have more appreciation for the work my husband does. He puts up pole sheds from time to time and says it's getting harder for him to work up high because he doesn't feel as secure as he used to......could be because he'll be turning 62 in a few days. Height didn't scare me 50 years ago....but now climbing a step stool is daring for me!!!!😅 Nice shed !!! I think ours is that size. 😊 Nice to see Maverick supervising the build for you too !!!

    • @WaynePolcin
      @WaynePolcin 2 дня назад

      He's just a youngster, you cradle robber! I wish I were 62 again. Most people, myself included, are more afraid of heights as they get older. I have to psych myself up whenever I climb tall trees, especially when they don't have any limbs on them. I'm constantly checking my safety gear. It's not a bad thing. It's worse if you have no fear at all - you tend to get complacent and careless. But you will never see me doing what those amish guys were doing. I was amazed. Take care and stay kind, my friend!

    Good morning Wayne. Are you going to dig out on the bank and put some cross tie or other steps?

    • @WaynePolcin
      @WaynePolcin 3 дня назад

      The bank is all shale and there is very little rain runoff on the bank, due to the rain gutters on the horse run-in. I may dig it out another foot or so. Someday, I may put some type of retaining wall back there, but for now it’s not an issue.

    @johngray2321 4 дня назад

    Loved it. Just look at all those hat equipment 😅. Sonja needs to watch this and then she’ll understand why it took so long to build my wood storage. 10 post holes dug by hand, takes just as long no matter how big the build above ground is😂.

    • @WaynePolcin
      @WaynePolcin 4 дня назад

      That's exactly why Suzie wanted me to contract this out. She was there as I was digging all those holes for the cabin deck and horse run-in, and I was using a powered auger in both cases, but still, the layout out and placement took forever. When the builder said it might take two days, she was sold! The weather couldn't have been better timed. Tuesday was rain, except for that short spell of drizzle, while the radar showed rain all around us all day. And I thought I was good on my feet in the trees. Well these guys made the Flying Wallendas look like drunken sailors in comparison 😂😂😂

    This device doesn't surprise. I expect of a guy who, years before the days of cupholders in cars and individual water bottles, put a jug, windshieldd washer pump, a switch, and a long hose together in his car to supply water as needed to a thirsty driver....just because he could. That alarm project is great!! Now, does it work to deter Maverick? Do you have other alarms to switch to as he becomes accustomed to that sound. Maybe just your recorded voice saying. "MAVERICK. NO!!" at a volume high enough to get his attention, not loud to shatter the night quiet, shocking you (or your wife, heaven forbid. Because wives always hear things we husbands don't) wide awake at 3 AM as he wanders for his mid-night snack and your breakfast. Hope it works well as it is.

      I never thought of it as a spa. She seems to enjoy it, so ok.

    awesome job WP... well done ... brings back memories of my stadia course in college ... a long time ago... all with a sight level, stadia stick, Pentel pencil and paper... a lot of geometry and class work to get it done in the old days. But hey, we don't ride horses any more to get... oh yea we do! Hey to Suz the Q! Have a good one!

      Haha! Moofdogg! I’m sipping on coffee and enjoying a happy moment of reading comments from my awesome YT friends. There are some things I wish I would have learned in my youth. I would have loved being a surveyor. It’s just darned interesting, isn’t it? I missed an opportunity to buy a Dewalt transit level kit for $200. Just couldn’t justify the purchase even at that price. One of my upcoming projects is to locate and mark our property lines. I want to place markers at periodic intervals along those lines just to make them more obvious. As always, my friend, it’s great to hear from you. Suz-the-Q says howdy. Have an awesome day!

      Well, that’s a total bummer! So are you gonna buy a new tractor with wholes in the wheels?😂

    First time viewing your channel. Excellent how to for me as I have no experience with a laser leveler. I have subscribed. Thank you.
