  • We take an in-depth look at the new 2021 version of the Svartpilen 125 from Husqvarna, quite possibly one of the highest spec factory 125cc motorcycles you'll find.

    I really hope Bajaj is able to read this message. If they are able to launch a 150cc instead of 125cc, among the 150cc segment bikes, this brand will explode the market. They don't have to make it obvious that it has a KTM engine, they should get innovative and launch a 150cc instead and price it 10k more if required.

      @@Neutral_ilja спасибище!

    Having just obtained my CBT last week I’m looking for my first bike, I’ve narrowed it down to two! This one and the Mutt Akita, I appreciate they’re two completely different bikes but as a 43yr old newbie I want something a bit bigger so I don’t look like Bowser on mariokart 🤣 which would you recommend & why?

      I’m a 43yr old newbie aswel and same thoughts as you. Mutt motorcycle or Husqvarna… ended up with the Husqvarna. Feels and looks a bit more solid. Also brought a little benelli 125

      @@markbailey769 haha glad to see I’m not alone in my thinking 😂. In the end I decided to go for the Mutt, I love the Husqvarna but the main reasoning for the mutt is I have a dealer within 10 miles of my house whereas the Husqvarna dealer is about an hour and a half drive away. I’m sure they’ll both be great bikes which put a smile on our faces, I take delivery of my bike this coming Saturday. I also like the look of the Benneli! However I think I’ll give myself a few years riding before upgrading to a larger sports bike which will suit my larger frame 😂

    It’s the expense that gets me. 4K plus for a 125 is still excessive I get they’re more in demand but it’s just off

    • @MotoGBofficial
      @MotoGBofficial  2 года назад

      Lots of 125's fall into the 4k and above category these days and with the rising costs of manufacturing and shipping we can expect to see more and more 125's fall into this category. While some may see them as expensive the premium bikes do tend to hold value more than the cheaper budget bikes, so by the time you come to sell them on it somewhat balances out vs buying a cheaper bike in the first place.

    • @GrimReader
      @GrimReader 2 года назад +1

      @@MotoGBofficial I get all that but it is meant to be in theory your bike until you go up to a bigger model and you cant tell me you see a 125 at 5K alongside a model that is 800cc for 4K and not get an instinctual tug that something is amiss here because you are getting less bike at 125. Plus as to selling it on, majority of learners are not going to be able to buy outright at 4K so would just be selling back to the dealer then the cycle starts all over again.

    • @MotoGBofficial
      @MotoGBofficial  2 года назад +6

      @@GrimReader You'd be surprised how many mature 125 riders there are, who have ridden 125's for years with no intention to move on to anything bigger. Its not just 17-18 years olds who ride them. That aside its supply and demand the manufacturers simply wouldn't produce bikes like this if they didn't sell.

    • @GrimReader
      @GrimReader 2 года назад +3

      @@MotoGBofficial Again I know, I'm just giving my opinion a friend of mine is on the shorter side and has been driving for 16 years with no interest in going higher than 125. And bit too pro business for my liking there, they produce and price the bikes like this because sometimes you've no options. The days of getting a used 125 for like 900 is long gone and sometimes area dependant you've no option but dealerships so they can charge higher for less

    • @PEACEPISTONS
      @PEACEPISTONS 3 года назад +5

      Yes its based on a Duke but a frame and running gear doth not make a motorcycle, there are several key differences, Seating position, handle bar style, ECU mapping, brake discs, wheels, tyres, bodywork, speedo, radiator, exhaust. Lighting, switch gear, without going into all the tiny little components there are more differences than there are similarities. At the end of the day KTM and Husky are the same manufacturer
