I planned to watch just 20 minutes of this video and probably finish it later but what you spoke of has so much value I couldn’t let it go. Keep doing what you are doing Mr Thembekwayo , you do it for us. 🇿🇲 can’t wait to see you in Zambia someday.
Never came across someone who know so much about entrepreneurship like you do ,your teaching are so inspiring and for me personally it does motivate me to start my own business
This is a kind of people we need to make Africa great I call to all the African youth to listen to this African soul maybe they be encouraged to work even harder to liberate Africa
This touched my life. For a long time now we have been blinded that we cant do without the outside world. Why I ask myself its because we are first taught to hate each other rather than work with one anothers.
Damn I missed lot of important info while busy with music videos, this right here should've been the only thing I should've looked for. Thanks Vusi you have amazing public speaking skills,
I honestly think that there is massive value in watching this keynote address regardless of which industry you find yourself in. Whether you are a Entrepreneur, SMB or part of the Corporate structure, you will sit back a couple of times in deep reflecting thought. Well done Vusi!
Hey Vusi, I am South African studying at Harvard as we speak. I think you would be a great guest lecturer next year for the summer school at (Harvard University). It is sad because most African business icons are not invited to lecturer/or present ideas which as a result makes more potential students at Harvard assume that there are no great business ventures in Africa. Ill even organize with the lecturer. Please Grootman....
ShoutOut to you brother for making it to Harvard & staying true there as African man , I know Sbu was there as guest speaker, I appreciate that you consider our African brothers who are trying to make the change especially in business & job creation. Do your best & keep it up, come back to share the Harvard at home.
fish serongoane Thanks for the comment. I'm an Ed tech executive here in South Africa and I would like to know more on how I can be a guest lecturer there too. You can make contact with me at mushe@esgile.com.
You know I just discovered you late last week listening to other motivational speakers, just a few in particular. While scrolling down for more, you unique name caught my eye. I hit play and I have been watching your speeches and this week master classes. Then today I was watching this one and your opening greeting "jambo" surprised me. I was like no, is he in Kenya? Wow! Thanks for mentoring my people. You are such a great speaker!
Having gone though Vusi`s gallery of of powerful videos, not only do i feel ashamed of myself. It has just REMINDED me how selfish i have been with vital information i have been depriving from people in need. Lesson learnt, always share vital information to benefit others.
Vusi you struck a cord on two main things. One I have being mulling on while discussing a biz idea with a friend who resides in Ghana. I was appalled to hear how much charges are levied at the ports for e.g. Importing new cars. It's as if the system is designed to promote pollution and other externalities that comes as a result from driving old vehicles(I just can't get my head around why the government doesn't see either the complete abolishment of levy or taxes for such goods as a must for the benefits that comes with it). You touched on another point regarding removing the borders in Africa to promote trade. This idea was seeded by Kwame Nkrumah (the first President of Ghana) where he proposed the United States of Africa. Unfortunately he and my grandfather who was his aide de camp paid the price of death. " United we stand divided we fall as the saying goes"...this is what Africa needs to aim for to catapult it into GREATNESS. Vusi keep doing what u do best. I need to introduce u to a very good friend who is very similar in ideology and entrepreneurship (if interested do let me know)
I love your energy and need to empower our people, Vusi! I have a major problem though with your view on the historical context of wealth. It reminds me of Nail Ferguson's "The Accent of wealth" - which is a conservative, neo-liberal view. It makes it seem asif the West became rich from their own ingenuity. When in fact from the Italian Renaissance (15th century), Europe had not known wealth and set out to acquire it through their endless conquests. Let me end it there and point you to the work of Eric Williams who extensively researched the history of finance who said that "the origins of all the capitalist wealth of London were to be found in the slave trade" and their research found in "Capitalism and Slavery", C.L.R James & Eric Williams eloquently unwraps the sources of this highly contested history.
Noble Sir, I have been watching your videos for the past 2 weeks, and I won't lie that now I have developed passion about my idea. I will get it done the soonest. I don't want capital, I don't need a business plan for funding, I need it to reflect on my drafted plans going forward. If I had already resigned from work, I would burn it.lol.. Thank you soo much for such inspiration Dr. Thembekwayo. Azuka Zazini from Willowvale, Eastern Cape.
Vusi, after this presentation i really don't know what to say, like I'm speechless, frustrated, inspired, I don't know how I feel really, this was phenomenal.
This 👇 'If you can save your customers' time, resources, and energy; be cheaper, better and faster, you give yourself an ability to compete in a market that is harder for your competitors to attract and much harder for your competitors to duplicate." ✊✊✊
Mr Vusi, Im learning a lot from you Sir. Yooh I watch your videos every day and one day I will be able to gather more content for my talks and match your standard. Thank you Sir
Next time, for the purposes of social media viewing, can the power point be shown so that the conversation flows smoothly and there is no disconnect while watching
I totally agree with you on the clip. I have been watching Vusi on youtube and his presentations are great and very interactive. In this particular one, he refers to a graph, and the camera does not navigate to show the graph. Instead, they show a screen showing him talking, yet he is in front of the screen! They are doing a disservice to a presentation by a great mind...
Would love for you to consider speaking on rural entrepreneurship in my university - even if it's just a feed (remote) setting. SMSU - I am the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. You are a virtual mentor -- and don't even know it! We have quite a few students from Africa and they see you as a role model. Going to make this happen. The value you provide is amazing.
Hey Mavusana , you are just a great young man .I am watching you from Mideast . Where were you , I am taking a break from listening and reading about also known as SD , you know who
It is called Great Britain because it is the largest of the British Isles, and consists of England, Wales and Scotland. Grand Cayman and Gran Canaria have a similar 'grand' title.
it looks like its all about teaching those who studied or studying entrepreneurship, while there is some of us who are doing Information Technology(IT) also wishing to start their own business not selling their ideas to make other people's business better
Roy Njisane you can actually become an entrepreneurial software developer by using a operating system called Linux(which I'm sure you familiar with) and it is actually freely available and modifiable.
Why didn't you mention F1 when you were discussing Serena and Ronaldo? Very informative. I liked the references and the history more than the actual message.
Two years ago Vusi talking about how we need to tear down borders for Afrika's benefit... Corona hits and now truck drivers are fighting over borders. Nah neh... Maybe Africa's problem we now think with our stomachs...
I've been binging Vusi's content for the past week now, and God damn! I've never felt more invested in the entrepreneurial space than I am right now.
Me too mate... His way of dispensing knowledge is extremely catchy 😅... Not forgetting his jokes 😂
I feel guilty watching this for free ,this video alone has more value than a whole college module
True hey
