OK, that ad annoyed me! 1. "Paint and Primer" is total marketing BS, and aimed at the "Do it fast, and as cheep as possible & i want it to look good" customer. Raw drywall needs a PVA primer to seal the drywall/mud. Wood, Needs an Oil based or Acrylic/Alkyd primer. to prevent raising the grain of the wood. Glass, Tile, and other super smooth surfaces, need a bonding primer as well should be sanded. Stains, like tobacco, pet urine, grease, smoke, use a shellac based or synthetic shellac based primer. If your topcoat is going to be red (and other primary colors), use a grey primer, to obtain the vivid-ness of your top coat in fewer coats. Whenever changing colours, a basic primer should be used to block the previous colour. 2. No paint is ever going to be "One coat coverage" no matter who makes it (Home hardware, Behr, ICI. Sherwin) thats because as your "Carrier" (water or alkyd resins) evaporate and as the pigments and binders dry they shrink, thus leaving areas that have a thinner coat than other areas. 3.Never over load a brush or roller with the idea "more on my applicator will means I am done sooner" It will look very bad in the end. Also, when brushing don't over brush (that's how you get brush marks) and when rolling when you begin to hear the "wet ripping" sound, re-load your roller. And do not use a $3.00 brush or $1.00 roller sleeve. You will regret it, (I have been working in paint since i was in high school, and still work full time at a paint store, PM me any questions if you'd like,)
Is someone here to help me ? I m goona open my paint manufacturing buisness . I need to know each and everything about paint . How to make premier quality , low quality , ingredients , everything . Is there anyone please 😞
@@nikolasnikolaou5561 replace calcium into kaolin clay, or partly replace it and it will be even better! Unless you are using precipitated calcium carbonate 👌 but no matter the formulation, if the thickness is right, coalescent level is right,25% tio2 can’t go wrong 🙂
Idea of Spectrophotometer for taking color components is Great🤩
is that resin from almaciga tree add in the mixture?
What the different between Acrylic and latex paint ?

Great video!
Bev, tell me again what primer you use on glass and ceramic tile? 😂
1:17 she just picked up a full gallon of paint with no effort. WHERE CAN I GET GAINS LIKE THAT?
U must be weak af, a gallon isn’t heavy
Very nice 👍
What kind of paint thickener did you use? Badly need reliable info
If its "latex" leave it open. It will get thicker as water evaporates out. Just sir it often and this is a slow process. But its the only way
If you want the best possible thickener for water based systems, it’s acrysol 935 by Dow if I’m right. Check the data sheets online.
