There is a great video demonstrating dispersion analysis with paint on an automated machine called TIDAS (made by Labman Automation). This analyses a grind gauge and makes the dispersion easy to see as it produces an image displaying all the particle data. It produces a rating automatically and removes the operator variation you often find between users in labs.
Its a great video, and i have a question. could you please list down few chemicals in all those 4 different categories, like in solvent you said Water, in pigments you mentioned Tiatanium di oxide. how about additives and polymer? could you please name few ?
Please what could be the possible problem of having white patches or dots in dark coloured acrylic paints but none in lighter colours using the same formulation and in-can tinting

consisting of 10kg water, 0.1kg titanium dioxide (TiO2), 0.3kg teranol, 0-3 ethylene glycol 0.3kg welting agent, 0.1kg defrayer, 0.2kg thickness 10kg CaCO3, 4kg PVA, 2kg NH3 and 0.5kg white spirit.
