  • Texas A&M University is close to author George R.R. Martin's heart. Although he didn't attend A&M, he chose the university's Cushing Memorial Library to be his official archive.
In March 2013, Martin visited Texas A&M to unveil an exhibit dedicated to his work, entitled "Deeper Than Swords." In front of a sold-out crowd, Martin spoke and answered questions from the audience. KAMU was there to record the event and we hope you enjoy his lecture.

Yes well actually before the arabs came to morocco they concurrd spain and their empire or whatever was called andalusia. Then the romans concured spain again and the arabs went down to morocco. So andalusian architechture for example is actually moroccan architecture. Thats also why in the moroccan arabic dialect there are a lot of words you will find in spanish.. Made it much easier for me to learn the language..

I looked at some photos - Marrakech is *gorgeous*. What did he say that wasn't true? If I were in one of those historic sites, I might be able to imagine that I were back in history too!

dude. Don´t say that. The show is fantastic. and it´s an adaptation not a literal reenactment. Have you ever thought what would happen if the show was made by FOX, NBC or any of those stupid networks out there? HBO does an amazing job, they are the BEST!
