@@onadaTotihotiH my experience is normally the opposite with healers that just want to DPS and say that DPSing is the same as healing since the enemy dies faster that way. Like okay do something like TEA with no healers then lol tell me about how that SAM or BLM kept your tank up.

There is one more "stage" of enmity which is between Mid Enmity and Enmity lead which has a deep orange color, that indicates you are very close to taking the enmity lead, not really used for much but good to know (you shouldn't be fighting for enmity or the boss will turn unexpectedly)
It will always be ROT over HOT to mean cause regen over time makes more sense to me. I also use the term Sub Tank over off tank cause sub tanks are a thing from Megaman X and Megaman Zero. You only want a sub tank used when things go bad. Off tank just sounds like someone isn't playing tank anymore and changed jobs. Now flank means behind so I always get confused that flank and rear are not the samething.
Well I never used to know what "proc" meant, but I do know "flank" isn't behind. Imagine a horse, for example. If someone says, go stand near the right flank, it's not directly behind the horse's tail, it's near it's right hind leg. Or left. But not directly behind. Same for people in real life combat situations. You get told, go flank such and such a unit, they do NOT want you to trail in the rear, they want you either side of said unit. Otherwise, mistakes could be made. Just form a mental image. ("guys someone sneaking up behind us, it's not our flanking platoon, open fire!!") Another way to imagine this scenario, is a long single line of combat guys. You're told to flank them on the left side. So you're off to their left hand side, keeping pace in the shrubbery, as extra cover or whatever. You don't join in the conga line at the back. See what I mean?
P.S. Do not stand behind or near the flank of any horse that doesn't know you. They're adept at lashing out sideways, as well as giving a good kick if you stand behind them. Example for demonstration purposes only. Your OWN flank is the outer side of each thigh, at whatever distance. Not directly behind you.
@@Kayenne54 In every tactical game I ever played growing up they gave bonus for flanking the enemy and it always always meant behind. Terms are like that. Spent nearly 30 years hearing to flank is to attack the rear as your rear is least guarded. Also good to know about horses.
On the topic of the Direct hit and Criticals, I'm pretty sure direct hit looks the same as the critical numbers. They both have exclamation marks. Also Crit isn't a flat out 40 % damage boost increase, instead, more critical stat increases the chance of criting AND it increases Crit Damage . Its not flat. With that said, critical direct hits can vary in damage boost.
Lol I thought this was doing to be a dictionary for terms like malm, ilm, yalm, onze, and other weird spellings and stuff that one will run into in the world. They're normally pretty self-explanatory, I guess, but it could be good to have something like that too, since I still get confused by some terms, like how I still don't know what an 'Aan' is
Wesk I have a unrelated question and I don't know where to ask. I am a central america player on the Coeurl world on Crystal, Is it against any rule to play using a VPN? My ping is over 200ms and It's hard to play dragoon/ninja this way, but I'm a bit worried that it's against something. I have spent many hours on glams and crafts and I'm to afraid run a risk, but I tried the vpn on another account and the difference is massive.
Using a VPN to play the game normally is most definitely not against ToS, however using a VPN to bypass (like an IP ban or something, I don't think they do that anyway) is against ToS

I like how the roles page has 2 lines for each role and the second line for every role is “does damage”
Considering the amount of healers/tanks that don’t want to do damage like at all, it’s something that needs to be said

Red DPS - DPS with Big Damage
Blue DPS - DPS with Big Health
Green DPS - DPS with Big Heal
