Fabulous tune, and lovely to see it played on the shore of Buttermere, with Fleetwith Pike, Haystacks, High Crag, High Stile and Red Pike in the background! What a beautiful place!
Rapturous! Beautiful music and scenery capturing the essence of Cumbria. You can take the girl from the fells but not the fells from the girl. Thanks Simon and Hilary, this transported me back home.
Lovely. I have a few guitar students doing this in A minor. Besides its singular beauty, the position changes, timing, and tremolo picking make it a great technique builder, and sight reading exercise, too. They don't know it yet, but the original key will come soon enough.
Lovely as ever Simon. When is your next CD coming out and hopefully the mando is not forgotten. Any chance of a tour soon in NoIron and Alba ? PS you will not YET require a visa ! Thanks for the music !
Thank you, Esioan. The violin version is on the newly issued album (www.acousticsrecords.co.uk/hilary-james/when-summer-comes-again.html) along with a live version played on mandolin as a bonus track. Some touring in 2022 - we hope! - but all gigs in England.
That was beautiful and it was a pleasure to hear it first hand after a hike down from Haystacks.
Thank you, Mike. A chilly day it was (my fingers froze) but at least it didn't rain.

There's a man who knows his fells! Thanks, Simon.
Such a beautiful tune and wonderful to hear Simon play it on the Violin. I love the arrangement it sounds fantastic. Thank you Simon
Thank you Simon. I thought this was stunningly beautiful in every way - the playing; the arrangement and the setting. What a treat!
Love, love, love this tune by Simon !!

Thanks for a lovely comment, Judy. Even on a grey day the place looked stunning. Simon.
Nice to hear the contrast to the mandolin tone.

G minor isn't a great key for guitar but it's nice and cosy on a fiddle or mandolin.
Thank you Simon. You know that tune sends me to Scotland across the Big Pond. I’m working to mandolin that piece and not abuse it.
Enjoy it, Ron - it's worked a treat on mandolin for the last 30 years for me! All the best, Simon
Such a beautiful and evocative tune.
Such beautiful, haunting music. It’s been one of my favourites from the very first time I heard you play it.
Thank you!
Wow! Nice violin vibes!!! Like it!
Beautiful performance Simon. Thank you...
Many thanks, Chris.
Beautiful sound as always 🎆👏🙌
Excepcional version . Genio Simon
not only very good but they should prescribe it for hypertension :-) very relaxing
It might explain the many sleepy sheep on the mountainside over the lake. Thanks for the comment. Simon.
