There's a surprising lack of games that cover government investigation bureaus, while there's tons of TV drama series where that's the whole concept, let alone the FDI. This was done meticulously well. Like you're a real part of the badass teams in one of those shows, instead of just observing the characters
The sound design on this game is exceptional, 10/10 voice acting and lots of little flourishes that even AAA-devs would not consider I think the plot doesn't stick the landing though, the problem with conspiracy stories is that its far too easy to see the twists coming when you have a small cast. There's only one way this can go, which makes the ending feel contrived.
Haha, I hadn't noticed it was set in the 90's! I guess it's the kinda fictional tech that the X-Files and the CSI TV shows have been saying exist for decades!
Maybe this is one of those conspiracy settings where everything after the semiconductor revolution was reverse-engineered alien tech or something, trickled out over time so it seemed plausible, and these Men In Black got all the good (seemingly almost modern?) stuff first? EDIT: Or the weird prologue bit is years before the actual game, maybe. A look into the backstory of our villain, perhaps? EDIT2: Hmm, nope, seems to be the early 90s still.
🚨Anchronism alert!🚨 The "hacked" sequence shows a linux machine booting. While technically Linux did exist in 1992, we didn't have xpp_usb for the reason that...USB hadn't been invented! We were using good old RS232 and other serial standards :)

it took me a bit to notice they were saying FDI instead of FBI lol also I really like the small touch of occasionally seeing characters mistype, backspacing, and retyping things it kinda reminds me of that idea that everybody types differently and how typing patterns are kinda like fingerprints and can be used to track people
i just finished the game... and out of all of the many many game l've played, and out of every genera, they simply do not compare to this work of art, i thank the developer's and every single contributor to making this game possible. ABSOLUTE ART!!!
That's strange. According to FDI Human DB, sacha cole, a.k.a evan tanner's hair color is gray, but who killed by ghost in parking 2 footage was not. Bureau 81 made a mistake this part?? or our ghost get the wrong guy?? Anyway, ghost and 'organization' win this time. but, I hope they won't be so lucky in DLCs.
Kind of lame to cliffhanger the game when it couldve easily resolved itself right then and there. Also killing off the mind wiped, interesting character to segue to the generic hacker as the next protagonist is a boring choice. Reminds me of Burial at Sea in the worst way.

Hello
Assisting govt agents to uncover crimes, as opposed to assist in committing them? Very unrealistic.
Honestly, The Ghost's inexplicable inhuman hyper-competence kind of ruins the whole damn story. It's a crying shame--the game is brilliant otherwise.
