Mark Broussard is one of my all-time favorite singers, his genre is kind of an all new genre at its time they refer to him as Swamp Funk!! His father was a great legendary guitarist and he plays a lot of songs with him. You’ll find other RUclips videos of him covering old soul Classics. They’re all fantastic.

Mile marker 112 was the exit we took to my grandma’s house when I was a little girl. The beat of this song when it starts literally sounds exactly how the car tires sounded on that stretch of I-10 through the swamp.

Marc Boussard lives a few miles, from where I live, in Louisiana, and me and my family go watch him in concert, when ever he’s playing in the area, and he is well worth seeing in concert, and he’s always played music festivals and concerts in around Louisiana, and I think that he’s not as well known, and that I don’t know why.Because he’s just so good 💁🏻♀️

His original songs are fantastic too...Lonely Night in Georgia, Baton Rouge, The Beauty of Who You Are and Love and Happiness will give you a wide range of his phenomenal talent
I had the pleasure of seeing him live when this album came out (2005ish) and he is phenomenal live. However, as he has aged he has only gotten better. I challenge anyone to watch Cry to Me and not walk away a fan.

He’s from South Louisiana (Cajun Country). This recording is about 8-9 yrs old. Was recorded around Lafayette Louisiana. You need to listen to his later music. His cover of “Cry to Me acoustic “ is great

This song was sung by Laine Hardy on American Idol. Marc Broussard sang this song when Laine came back to Livingston LA before the finals. It was Homecomkng week I think they called it.
