Glad you like the show!!! I think you will like this new Fusion Dual Core... great flex and spring in your turns. If you get one let me know what you think. Cheers!!
TRIKushbeachside The weight compared to a PU feels similar. It's not super light but not heavy either. I really like both techs... the Flexbar and Fusion Dual Core feel great. The FDC seems to be more durable and both have great flex characteristics.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 I’m wondering with all the new tech that has come out over the last 7 years since you made this video, how does it now compare? I assume if Aipa is willing to have their DarkTwin built in this construction that it still must be good. Come to think of it I should watch that episode you did on the DarkTwin again to see what construction it was…. Keep up the good work Noel, your videos are so valuable to our community, Mahalo 🤙🏾 FYI picked up your fins recently and loving them.
Great review. How would you compare the Rocket 9 to the Nitro? I have the Nitro and really like it but the Rocket 9 seems like it would be close to the same.
Do they still make this board? It looks pretty sick. I really can't find it so I'm assuming it was a fad and the surf world moved on to better things. What current board would be similar? Thanks!
If your board is Polyurethane foam and polyester resin then use normal polyester resin for repair. If your board is EPS foam / Epoxy resin then use Epoxy resin for repair
@surfnshowreviews7777 Good morning, I know I am behind the curve, but I am looking at a used Merrick Code Fusion surfboard, (FCS2 boxes). It is a 6'7/20.5/3" 43 liters I am 6'4, 185-190ibs. I am more than an intermediate surfer and less than an expert (I've been surfing for 40+ years, just more of carver than an air-seeking surfer. My question is: Presently, I am riding a similar board (6'10 WIDE 51 liters) and it floats me fine. How would you guess this Code Fusion would work for my height and skill level? Thanks
sick review. Knowing that they're way different boards...if u could only buy 1 board, would u take a rocket 9 in this construction or a fever in PU? San diego waves. Thanks Noel
So what have u got next for us Mr Salas? Will the Hayden shapes reviews drop next or do you have to pump out the OG Flyer for the CI release? And what is beyond that?
Craig Steven Hardenshapes Darkside is next then Haydenshapes Untitled. CI OG Flyer somewhere at the end of this month. All the surf footage is done on both Haydenshapes... now we shoot the talking points and edit.
Hi Noel, is there much difference in the feel of the E2 construction and the Dual Fusion? Trying to decide which way to go on the a Sharp Eye Modern 2...
Matthew Jones Both constructions are good... the Dual Core has a little less chatter but it feels a bit heavier compared to the E2. I am so used to surfing EPS now I don’t notice much chatter any more so I would probably go E2... I like my Grovelers light and responsive.
I’m super tied Noel. I like the feel of EPS, I’ve got a few C3 cork boards that are insane. I do however like the feel of PU.....how does the weight of dual core compare to a team light (single 4oz) and double 4oz glass job? Also do the Pu rails really smooth out the ride?
Matthew Jones The Dual Cote weight seems real close to a stock PU glass job. Not super light but not heavy.... The PU rails smooth at the ride pretty good but still not as smooth as a PU board... but close.
Matthew Jones Absolutely...the Rocket 9 in PU did not have the speed for me as a Thruster but in the DC it felt good. I got the extra speed and pop out of the EPS Core that I needed and liked the Rocket 9 as a a Thruster.
I like the idea of these stronger contructions for grovellers, like the mini etc.. then you will always have that old faithful tiny wave board and only need to replace better wave boards. But then again it's always great to ride the new shapes that come out. So maybe the tougher constructions could be looked at like they won't get so beat up and won't lose as much money on the resale when you're done. ( compared to a PU)
I just spoke with the folks at Pyzel today and I will be reviewing their boards!!! The Ghost is on my radar big time and I am sure this review will be coming SOON!
Wow, you can see the spring of your bottom turns. Thanks for the review , definitely going to go pick one up !
Epic... let me know how it goes for you after you ride it a few times.
Will have to check out the newer tuflite construction- sounds amazing. Love my TLPC new flyer still after 50+ good sessions Good stuff Noel!!!
Glad you like the show!!! I think you will like this new Fusion Dual Core... great flex and spring in your turns. If you get one let me know what you think. Cheers!!
Just out of curiosity what is the weight comparison to a standard PU? Also how do you like this compared to the flexbar boards?
TRIKushbeachside The weight compared to a PU feels similar. It's not super light but not heavy either.
I really like both techs... the Flexbar and Fusion Dual Core feel great. The FDC seems to be more durable and both have great flex characteristics.
They are still making boards in this same tech. Just saw a new one at a shop last week. Different board made by Aipa but same surf tech construction.
@@splocal Yes

@@splocal Cheers for the kind words. Stoked you like my fins 🔥🔥🔥
Great review. How would you compare the Rocket 9 to the Nitro? I have the Nitro and really like it but the Rocket 9 seems like it would be close to the same.
The Rocket 9 is good in 2-6' surf... and the Nitro is sick Groveler in 1-3' surf. Rocket 9 daily driver and Nitro Groveler only.

I believe Surf Tech still makes this board in the same tech. Hit them up
For A sub par condition/daily would which would you pick the Rocket 9 Dual Core vs HS Untitled ?
Beach Shak HS Untitled
Surfing is on point !!! Sleepy afternoon in San Clemente this afternoon. Heading down to trestles later yewwww
Epic thanks!!! Have a fun surf.
What type of solarez: epoxi or fiber i have to use for ding repairs?
If your board is Polyurethane foam and polyester resin then use normal polyester resin for repair. If your board is EPS foam / Epoxy resin then use Epoxy resin for repair
Review the JS Monsta 6, no one has done a proper review of it yet and your reviews are on point!!
Cheers for the props on the show!!! I want to review the Monsta 6 and I am sure i will for this winter. Hang in there.....

Johnny Ferreira I would go Fusion Dual Core because it will last longer and it feels more lively!
You know I love the Fever too!! Now if you say Fever in Flexbar that's a tough call.
Awesome, thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it.
Noel, sampler flex bar I got off you goes great ! Quick question: where are these boards made?
The Sampler Felxbar is mental... good to hear it's going good for you. These boards are made in Thailand.
I felt one of these at a shop the other day..thought the board had rail channels where the two materials meet !
Torrey B It has a little something there but my boards were subtle.
