Glad to hear you're a survivor, Jason - hope you're doing well now. I'd be very interested in hearing you review Cannibal or Carcinoma, but at the same time, I can't recommend watching them lol.
It’s a rough one, for sure. I also think it’s Dora’s best film. Best shot, acted, sound , story, everything. I like his other ones, but this one definitely shocked me with how well done it was. Cannibal really drags for me, and Melancholie is more of a gauntlet-style watch. I love the way Carcinoma just gets worse and worse until, by the end, it finally descends into this hellish sequence (with his mother, no less). Watching your physical reaction while you watched the film very much mirrored my own.
There’s definitely some filmmaking merit in this one. I agree, Cannibal did drag. Need to try and find a copy of Melancholie. The ending to this one was almost unbearable! Thanks for watching!
I have to say, from the brief shots you've shared with us, it looks well filmed and directed, but I can tell by your response it's also morbidly grotesque and graphic. Not sure if I'd be able to stomach it myself, you're a braver man than I am. Thanks for your service Bryn 😂

Great video, HorrorHands. Dora is really an interesting case. I've seen this and a few other films he's made. They seem to be a mash up of gross-out Deodato and German literary romanticism. I'm not really sure what he's going for. Gross out cinema? Art film with a pinch of philosophy and literary theory? Maybe just a giant dollop of realistic gore and violence? Again, great video.
I completely agree - he seems to achieve both arty and completely messed up! Would love to chat with him about where he gets his inspiration! Thanks for watching.
Sounds pretty grim and depressing Double H, hats off for making it through without too many mental scars. If it’s any consolation your wincing facial expressions, general revulsion and mental hang ringing at what you were putting yourself through was fairly entertaining to watch though. Not my thing but I’m sure some out there will want to watch it off the back of your review, which is all good. 😄

I thought I saw this one.... but it might have ben debris documentar. I've definitely seen melancholie and cannibal. Both were extremely difficult watches I can imagine this much the same
Anyone know this 80's movie? The opening scene is the back of someone's head and a bit of the neck showing. Next, the head gets chopped off with a sword, and someone plays with the blood spurting out of the freshly - beheaded corpse with their fingers twiddling the spurting blood and other bodily juices. * ( The guys were gung - ho for this one, but the girls insisted we shut it off immediately, therefore I never even got to know its name.)
Hmmm, nothing comes to mind straight away. But I’ll have a think and let you know if I think of anything. Hopefully, someone in the comments will know what it is.
Sounds alot like Nightmares in a Damaged Brain, notoriously brutal slasher flick that's actually quite good.... Although I think that was an axe and not a sword.. hmmm.. Evil Speak has some sword related stuff from what I remember.
@1:00 you mentioned the Marian Dora film "Cannibal". Did you know that the Swedish Death Metal giants "Bloodbath" created a song inspired by those events? It's called "Eaten", and it's probably one of their more brutal, and crushing pieces they have ever released. Check it out if you are so inclined! ruclips.net/video/AIeVnN9cFmw/видео.html

I love the extreme content and the bust's your dad does. Great video!
Thank you, really appreciate that 🙂
Those Horror films where you're apprehensive about watching them and don't feel great when you finish them but you've just got to do it at least once 😄
Definitely! lol. Thanks for watching.
@@horrorhands666 No worries, mate, I've just seen this pop up in my feed and subscribed. Thanks for braving this one so I didn't have to! 🦇🍻
Ha, my pleasure (well, not really!). Thanks for subscribing.
You do know that Germans were making good Goth and Horror since the silent days.
Yes. I've seen a few of the German expressionist horror movies from the 20's :)
Jesus Bryn, I dunno if you're very brave or just warped 😂😂 I don't think I could watch that mate. It sounds absolutely terrifying, especially with the subject matter. Well done for getting through it though bud 🙂👍
Yeah, this one was particularly tough, mate! Thanks for watching :)
@@horrorhands666 No problem mate, great video. Your facial expressions have definitely convinced me to avoid this one plus the fact you said it's probably the most depressing film you've ever seen .... It's definitely a no from me lol.
Thank you. It's not a fun time at all. Very little to take from such a hard going watch, other than just saying you've seen it, I guess.
I don't mind Extreme horror movies, if there's a story, something like Murder Set Pieces, Inside or the puekefest Cannibal Holocaust, but I'm not a Fan of Vomit Gore Trilogy, Guinea Pig movies, August Underground. Great video!👍
I agree! August Underground in particular is unwatchable for me. Thank you!
@@horrorhands666 Those films are just terrible in general. Absolute rubbish.
Cannibal Holocaust, I remember that for years ago, didnt they use real animals, they opened up that big shell? was ages ago so dont remember much, might have a quick look at it now, glad I found this channel, the content and all the people commenting here are decent.
@@deathadone88 Yeah, they used real animals, unfortunately, including a turtle. You’re welcome than welcome here, I’m lucky to have very nice subscribers 🙂
Started my DVD/Blue-ray Horror collection late 2023. Already built up a decent size. Subbed.
That’s awesome, man! Thanks for subbing.
I've just seen the synopsis for "Pesthauch der Menschlichkeit“ and I think Marian Dora should be arrested for animal cruelty. Tbh I don't know why he isn't.
I’m not familiar with that one. Yeah, can’t justify those elements at all.
Got to around 35 and my life started to look like a horror film. Body horror. Haha but on a serious note, I did love horror films until I got to that age. Then I had a realisation that all this stuff we see in films can happen to us. And I haven’t had the stomach for them since. I stick to my romance films now. Enjoyed the video though, it came on in the background while I was having a shave. I won’t look the film up. Thanks for making me aware so I can avoid it haha.
I’ve kinda felt like that as I’ve got older. I’ve never heard of anyone finding the channel whilst shaving haha. Welcome to the channel and I don’t blame you for avoiding the movie!
Great video mate 👍🏻 I do like these watch long reactions videos every now and again 😎👍🏻
Thank you, mate. This one was tough but has had a great response :)
Damn bro you're a braver man than me. Great video none the less. I know I keep saying it but I appreciate you taking all the slings and arrows so we don't have to lol Cheers, friend!
Yeah, it’s not one I’d recommend, bro 😖 Thanks for watching and making my discomfort worth it lol!
@@horrorhands666 lol hell yeah man always my pleasure. My favorite horror channel for sure.
How am I to obtain this being in the US?
It did have a blu ray but its hard to find. Last time I checked, it had been uploaded to RUclips.
Wow Bryn .If its ome youve struggled through then i yhink ill pass .I do have a work colleague ill recommend it too though .
Yeah, it’s a very tough watch. I can’t think of anyone I’d recommend it to lol. Thanks for watching.
I have a new favorite Horror Hunk! :)
Lol! Welcome to the channel!
Subbed n love your channel
Thanks so much!
Cannibal is the one film I have but never watched or even wanted to watch.
I don't blame you - it's a tough watch.
thanks for biting the bullet on this one, my teeth already hurt
Haha, no worries!
Oh, I've been wanting to see Carcinoma for a while now, but haven't been able to find it anywhere
I picked the blu ray up from HorrorCon. I think there's a couple of copies floating around on eBay.
new sub! dig your taste and perspective.
Thank you, and welcome to the channel!
Just watching it now and I've got a few illnesses including ulcerative colitis, hope your well Bryn, it looking like psr will be solved
Brace yourself for it, mate. Yes, good news about psr!
I've had camera up without sedation and MRI scans and watched my insides on the screen lol @@horrorhands666
I hope you’re doing well.
I'm thinking about watching tusk but I'm not sure. Lol
It’s nowhere near as bad as Carcinoma, but is definitely a freaky one - the ending is messed up!
@horrorhands879 they say it's kind of like human centipede but with a walrus. Maybe the sequel he could stitch together three human walruses! Is carcinoma on RUclips?
@@irishnz_9558 Yeah, it definitely has elements of Human Centipede, would make an interesting crossover. I’ve just had a look and it looks like Carcinoma is on RUclips.
Have not seen this one, but it sounds like a great first date movie.
Haha! Not sure you’d get a second date 😅
Thank You for the Video.
No worries!
I thought I saw this one.... but it might have ben debris documentar. I've definitely seen melancholie and cannibal. Both were extremely difficult watches I can imagine this much the same
Thanks for watching. I still need to see Melancholie but have seen Cannibal and this one is even worse.
Thanks for that. I gave it a listen - a little heavier than what I usually listen to but I enjoyed it 👍
@@horrorhands666 Glad you enjoyed it my fellow horror fiend!
I like your t-shirt. Is that from a horror film?
Yeah, it’s Creature From The Black Lagoon 👍
I saw a restrained cannibal movie. What You Wish For starring Nick Stahl as a chef who after taking his best friend identity ends up cooking for the mega rich and they don't pay 1,5 million for porc
I’ll look that one up, thanks!
Well if a cannibal can find some one that's wants to get eaten I'm sure some one will find a gf/bf somewhere.
I guess there’s someone out there for everyone!
Hello, you just popped up in the algorithm. Despite my love of extreme horror I avoid Marian Dora due to animal torture / death in a lot of his films. Hope you have recovered after that mate!
Hi, that’s understandable. I forgot to mention in the vid but there’s animal cruelty in this one too 🙁 Thanks for watching!
I look forward to catching up on your channel and future vids. It's also refreshing to find a horror channel that hasn't jumped on the iceberg trend. Extreme horror and houseplants are my thing so I must complement the palm in your living room too 😂 cheers mate
@@lelfah I try and cover all kinds of horror movies on the channel - hopefully you’ll find a few videos of interest 🙂 Glad you like the plant!
Think I'll skip this one 😂 I struggle with the Nekromantic films.
I don't blame you. There's a bit of a Nekromantic feel in these movies, but times it by 100 lol!
New subscriber, great video, great channel!
Thank you! Welcome to the channel.
Hello, may i have your opinion about a movie called : siksa neraka?
Hi, I haven’t seen it yet. But I know it’s had some good reviews.
Well I suppose one plus is there is no animal abuse, maybe a first for a Dora film?
There actually was :( we see a rabbit crushed to death my a snake. Worse thing is they show it repeatedly as the movie climaxes. Sorry, I forgot to mention it in the vid - I think I just couldn't wait for it to finish lol. Thanks for watching.
@@horrorhands666 Oh well thanks for the heads up, I thought it was finally a film by Dora that I could actually sit through. 😮💨
You have a beautiful home.
Thank you! 🙂
And there was me thinking Witchfinder General was Horrible and Depressing : {
I would hang out with Matthew Hopkins any day rather than watch this again!
Oh good one bryn! hanging around with Matthew Hopkins .....Witch! : )
For a moment I thought it was Barbie
That one is way too scary for me!!
Rather you than me, same clothes rack buddy. I like my horror more fantastical or OTT. A for effort, though.
I get that, and don’t blame you! Thanks for watching anyway
I literally started shaking when you said "that" name... you're right to be edgy about it...
It's awewwwwwwwwwwwful.
You know it’s going to be messed up when you see that name! 😅😅 Thanks for watching.
German? That explains it all.
He definitely has a unique style!
His films are quite depressing if anyone knows his stuff.
They certainly are.
Cannibal kinda fucked me up. 😅
This one’s even worse! 😳
Reminds me of the channel unboxed watched and reviewed
Oooh, I’ll have to check that channel out
I think your comments especially not recommending people view this film will make people want to watch to see how bad it is. Like watching a car crash or pimle popping, it's horrible but you cant look away. But cancer is the topic that turn me off, ive recently have a melanoma removed and it scared me, you cant help thinking the worst at first. I love a good horror but ill give this 1 a miss. 😉 good on you for getting through it.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I don’t recommend things like this as I’d feel bad if someone got traumatised after I suggested they watch it lol. I don’t blame you for giving it a miss. Thanks for watching, and I hope you’re doing ok after the melanoma.
@horrorhands879 thanks for replying. Yes, all good for now, thanks. Have a good weekend.
@@donna2676 No worries. You too.

It’s quite an obscure one. Thanks for watching, James.
@@horrorhands666 your welcome. 😀👍
Now Buttgereit or Schnaas.
Haha! Hopefully, I’ll get round to them soon
Just watched it Bryn
What did you think? Pretty depressing ?
Very sorrowful imo, but your right don't watch it if you already suffer from an illness as I was starting to ache all over 😅 nice musically and shot in a dark disturbing way which worked well. That hospital though lol I thought our NHS was bad
@@richardthewalkingboom2731 Sorrowful is right, with some extreme gore thrown in! Yes, I could almost feel the griminess of that hospital. Hope you’re health is ok.
I cant watch horror in the day, has to be pitch black, curtains shut and sound up. I dunno how this fairs to like Fetus, Bone Sickness and Black Past? No film disgusts me, so I need to see this and Cannibal
I much rather those settings as well, we've had some really sunny evenings recently which is not great for watching horror lol! I haven't seen Black Past but this one is way worse than the others! Thanks for watching.

If you’ve ever seen real life gore vids, like the Mexican cartel stuff, then no horror films will bother you ever again.
Agreed! That’s bottom of the iceberg stuff for sure!
I really don't like any of these more modern extreme horrors. They're just not fun or entertaining like all the old video nasties used to be.I can throw on Cannibal Ferox and New York Ripper for a fun night's entertainment. Watching a film about terminal cancer is revolting, especially as my dad died from stomach cancer at 58. 👎
Really sorry to hear about your loss. Definitely agree with you about the older horrors having more entertainment factor. Sorry the video/subject matter was upsetting.
