- Here's part 2!
Please leave any questions in the comment section,
although I can't guarantee we will answer all of them.
We are getting a lot of DMs and are not answering any of them,
because most of them are asking if we would evaluate audition videos or songs and lyrics...
We do such work professionally at our workplaces not through SNS;
I hope you all understand :)

Yess Finally someone acknowledged Yuju's vocals. She's a supreme singer and just a few people notice it.
She and Sihyeon of DREAMCATCHER are not talked about much
8:42 Those were such quick examples, but it was so impressive to get a tiny peek of her vocals like that!
"He totally broke out of the idol boundary"
So true. Taemin, i'm so proud of you ❤️
I´m so happy Yuju was mentioned, she´s such an amazing vocalist¡¡¡¡¡¡ Thank you
I love these videos so much! And thank you for appreciating Winter's vocals :,)
(I was so happy when she told she's a shinee fan 😭😭😭)
The way she acknowledge Yuju and Luna's talent makes my heart warmer😭😭😭😭 I stan the right Queens💙💜
I agree so much! Luna has been my favorite kpop vocalist for years ♥
Girl.... Thanks for sharing and being so open. We never get the real image, and we fans sometimes need a reality check. I have been so busy, and this video was here to greet me when I came home.
Jungkook and Yuju 💜💙
Yuju and Jungkook i love them💙💜
Yuju vocal 👑 yes yes.
Im happy that we have part 2!
🔆🔆🔆
That’s why we are all so proud of Taeminnie. He worked so hard to be where he is 🥰
Aww, TIL Gfriend disbanded. Sorry to hear. :( Wish each member good luck with whatever they focus on next.
My Shawol heart is screaming.
So Sol Lee seonsaengnim was "the YG vocal trainer" who complimented Taemin's vocals on Advice?
It is so heartening to hear her acknowledge Taemin as an artist, dancer, and vocalist.
Like she said, he went from having no parts in Replay, to the superb all-round performer he is now.
Taemin never rests on his laurels, and it shows.
He hasn't even hit 30 yet, and I believe he has so much more to show us.
Also, it was fascinating to hear about the role vocal directors play during recording sessions.
Outsiders like us have no idea such a person even exists.
Or how much producers influence how a track turns out.
All we see is the figurehead - the singer.
In reality, an enormous amount of work, and a huge team is needed, to produce a single track.
It was also good to hear both of you talk about how a singer's psyche affects their performance.
I guess when people are upset, and say they are "all choked up", it's true.
They can't talk, and they definitely can't sing.
Looking forward to Part 3 already.
Many thanks to you, and Sol Lee seonsaengnim for giving us insight into what was a closed off industry.
really great vid!!!!! would be great if you do one for dancing? like the methods, trainers, choreographers, etc :D
유주님이 영상 꼭 보셨으면.!!우리 유주 칭찬해주셔서 감사해요!
now i miss Jonghyun.. and GFriend and f(x) 😌 good times, good times
Thank you for the great tips! A part 3 would be greatly appreciated!😊
I just want to ask why mostly yg idol when they are singing use more nasal in their voice likes Rose, Park bom, miyeon gidle (ex yg trainee).. Can you discuss it for next video with this vocal trainer Sol lee
UP
Upx2 whose idea was it anyway??
YG are very good in live performances, their stage presence is no joke
Up
it sounds nice but it's actually pretty damaging for long term. just look at bomie :/ i wish they discuss about this next, we all want to know!
I have a question! After an idol gets nose surgery does it affect their singing? When I sing a lot I often have to clear my throat, not sure if that has anything to do with my nasal passages being restricted because of rhinitis
thanks for mentioning winter
BTS Jungkook is my bias 😍 He really do have stable voice
What’s amazing about Taeminis his improvement over the years
I always wondered how good of a vocalist you have to be to be a vocal trainer. Are there vocal trainers out there that understand the technicalities but not decent vocalists themselves?
Yes this is possible. Not a lot of vocal coaches knows a lot about vocal pedagogy
There are! But many are great vocalists themselves 🎤
The real fact Queen LEGEND Vocal Luna f(x) the best everything always and forever. ^^
SM trainers are no joke they really know how to develop talent.
Can you share about big 3's and hybe's different vocal and training style? I just find it so interesting
Also, I would like it if you guys check out nct vocal line too 💚
유주님 정말 .. 좋죠 많이 노래해줬음 좋겠어요
I have a question! Do KPOP entertainment companies really check email/dm auditions? or is just for publicity? 🤔
Hi, thanks for your really helpful and entertaining videos, we love you 🥺
Also I was wondering is it possible to be a college student while being a trainee and is it still possible to be a foreign trainee that come training in Korea at the agency only for summer break as Johnny from NCT did ? 👀
Part 3 please ❣️❣️
would love a part 3 :)
Jungkook voice💎
after vocal practice, getting the pitch and tone correct, do you usually just get straight on with the singing and practice that consistently? is there tips to help with pitch too.
Singing as in singing a song u want
I’m curious if she ever trained bang yedam from treasure i wanna hear stories about him
Up
In the first part of this series I think they mentioned she only trains with the female trainees at YG. And I think the female and male trainees are in different floors so she doesn’t even get to meet the vocal teachers for the male trainees much either.
But she probably maybe heard about him around the company or heard him perform at some of the monthly evaluations (I’m only speculating on this part tho)
Not female trainee with female trainer
Yaaaay i'm a SHAWOL too!!!!
She's a former YG vocal trainer, but mentioned other vocalists. I wonder if there's no one worth mentioning in YG?? I mean, Treasure's Bang Yedam, then Winner's Yoon? Bigbang's Daesung? No?
I mean, it's her opinion. Just wondering.
The power of these 2 letters YG.
Same thought in part 1. I've been waitning more of YG talks since it's in the title... Wondering who has she taught in YGA...
Shes only worked with girls from YG but maybe she can't say who because they're still trainees or either left but just because she was a YG vocal trainer doesn't mean that the ones that debuted got her as their teacher because there are multiple vocal trainers in the company
I see this channel as a light conversation between friends who happened to “talk” or give opinion about (mostly) idols. So, don’t expect about some deep research or anything because it’ll mostly biased and incomplete.
I wanna ask if we international fans, could get the opportunity to get vocal training through skype or something.....obviously, we will pay for ur training and hardwork
Winter ❤️
great video :), also what’s sol lee’s channel?
ruclips.net/channel/UChO1JFQ_58cMe_vMzjYwl3A :)
Gina, can we have some juicy news on vocal training and possible forced techniques on some idols??
Not sure if you'd consider it a "forced technique", but Gina said she adopted a R&B/ soul sound, because that was what JYP preferred.
As it turns out, trying to emulate Aretha Franklin actually compressed her vocal range considerably.
Hopefully there's a part 3!!!🙃
네네 맞아요 맞구요 너무너무 지당하신 말씀이에요 울 태민이 최고에 보컬리스트에요
Taemin will like the well deserved praises. 💕💕💕
PART 222 LET'S GOOO
Early gang
I'm not a singer. But even I know what "lift your soft palate" means. 😊 Idols should get access to professional singing lessons/education to further their talent and also to keep their voice safe in the long run. It's so easy to damage your voice with wrong techniques. (At least that's what some friends who sing have told me...but they mostly do opera and classical type singing so it might be different for pop)
So cool to get a glimpse behind the scenes. It takes sooo many people to produce a song. I wish everyone got the credit they deserved. 😇
Finally the subtitles can read properly.
Good evening, unnie🌸💓
Talk about YG tho ahahhaha
My personally faves when it comes to vocals are EXO
Hi just came across your RUclips channel. Can you give a honest opinion about bts vocals. Please and thank you.
Practice makes perfect 🙂
Jungkook 💜
When I saw the title of the video I expected there will be at least one name from YG lol... Anyways nice video
I have a question.. These days online auditions are happening, so how do we grab the attention of the person going through our profile? What would be the thing they notice for example in YG's current online auditions? What do they usually expect?
When they mentioned good vocals but answered their biases instead 😅
Ikr. I love Taemin but wondering, if he really is the best idol vocalist??? Comparing to onew? or chen, baekhyun, do? to taeil nct? i mean... If we're talking about SM idols. But then, it's their opinion tho. hehe
Luna IS a legend!! 💜
Yes. Winter. She might kick you in the ankle and then invoice you for the shoe shine. But...Magnetic.
YUJU!!!
Please tell us more about SM and HYBE :)
I couldn't find any information on how to get to Sol's content on yt in any of the 2 videos even tho she mentioned having one
Tysm gina 🧡
wow interesting. waitnig for part 3
Is training still mandatory for members after debut?
Up!
YUJU😍
Sherlock is always a great jam. I'd really love to see a killer girl group cover it though. I'm down for Luna love too. I liked the practical advise about stuff that goes down in the studio.
I have a question. Why some people sing very very well, look good enough but never make it? I once went on an audition and there were 2 candidates in the room with really great voice (im not a pro but i can tell that everyone enjoyed listening to their voices while we were practicing outside the room). But none of them was kept and the only one who was asked to stay has a not so impressive voice. Why so?
Is it the same for dancing or rapping? Thanks in advance.
Star quality?
X factor?
Maybe they didn't fit in with the group's concept?
They kinda touched this topic on PART 1 but it was only lightly mentioned.
Excitinggg thank u
You like also Jungkook that’s why I subscribed to your channel 😀
I've been really curios about this one. For leaked songs. Sometimes we get clips of the song or the music video. I just wanna ask (if ever you guys know smthn about it) who leaks the song? And for what purpose? Is it ppl outside of the company or the company itself?
YG and JYP vocal trainer to SM vocal trainer "We love you Yoo Youngjin"
i cant- 😂
ps/ yes Luna free somebody album is sooooo good! it's one of sm solo's album masterpiece. it's a shame that ppl even some meus sleep on her but dare complaining sm didnt give her what she deserve. I wish luna can go back a promote the album more. Shinee is forever *chef's kiss* Jonghyun is that one gem that no one cannot replace. and at this point, i guess we all can agree that winter is officially Yoo youngjin's daughter since literally everyone can see and hear the resemblance/ signature sound 😂
What is her channel? Hehe
ruclips.net/channel/UChO1JFQ_58cMe_vMzjYwl3A here it is :D
Winter ⭐
Main vocal yuju
Do you recommend males to sing songs by male artists?
Will singing female songs help a male to increase range?
I know this isn't about vocals and dancing and all but I'm curious about cultural appropriation of some companies. For example when they get called out for some actions they did. Fans are mass emailing them, dropping templates on twitter, weverse etc. Do they read those? At least the emails? And if they do, why do some of them don't respond to it? Like perhaps give an official notice? A video? Or anything to the public? I'm really curious. Because there's no doubt they read their company emails.
😂😂😂😂😂😂🤮
I am a little confused about your current job. Are you a youtuber and full time writer? or do you teach music as well?
I am! I'm a full time writer, youtuber, kpop lyricist, (these would be my main jobs) as well as a radio personality, interpretor, translator, speech and acting coach, english instructor, and sometimes live ecommerce MC.
@@GinaEverywhere wow you're so talented
Winter 😍
OK - So I'm disappointed that you didn't mention your friends from Spica as part of - "Who's the best female idol singer?" We could actually make a list since you both left out several really great vocalists in that part of the talk ---- otherwise the info was excellent --- both of you just ooze charm XOXO 😎
Luna and Jungkook yes my bbs get that recognition
Winter!
Luna f(x) “LEGEND”
Hi, can you react Jimin’s live solo performances. Jimin’s vocal and dancing is so perfect and amazing. His voice is really sound from the heaven and heals everybody’s emotion. Jimin called Rookies’s bible and being artists’s inspiration. There many artists covered Jimin’s solo songs such as: Lie, Serendipity, Filter...Link for you in my reply. Thank you so much

Do a person need to pay for the flight tickets if he/she got selected in online audition pls tell it's a huge request!!!
I've already answered this on ruclips.net/video/bW8c-p-1nFs/видео.html
So, SM’s artists basically 😁
Damnnnnn ❤️
LOVE LUNA f(x) ^^
why stressing she's a YG vocal trainer when the content is not about YG at all lol
Reason is stated in the video, I've also answered the exact same question in the comment section, and it makes sense to include information on an expert guest for credibility reasons :) We did not specify or allude to to talk mainly on YG artists or the company, I'm sorry if that's what you came for😅
yg보컬 트레이너인데 좋아하는 가수는 다 타 회사 ㅋ
What's the point oh EX-YG Vocal trainer if talk about others agensi?
I'm really disappointed that you didn't mentioned jimin and v they had ones of the unique voice in the industry.
The title: *YG vocal trainer*
The video: 1st part *talk about JYP, Mnet and Loen*
2nd part *talk about SM and JYP*
The clickbait... write only vocal trainer next time or at least talk about YG too!
I guess YG is so secretive that it's difficult to talk about it even for people who worked there...
I initially watched it because i was curious with how trainees are trained vocally at YG so definitely expecting more of YG thing but its mainly focused on other things which could have been better if the title isn’t involved with YG
I Inserted her former workplace in the title which took up a very large part of her career for credibility reasons, to show she's a very legitimate guest for all the topics we covered in both videos. If I wanted to make a clickbait I would have inserted sth about YG trainees instead of saying 'kpop talk'. Just an FYI.
@@GinaEverywhere so just stop use word YG...
I know No YG NO MONEY...
@@meirgg5911 cringe.
@@GinaEverywhere jina you did nothing wrong.
I cringed a lot when she said Tarmin is already handsome so he doesn't need to sing well. This only in Korea
To reluctantly take a serious stance on what we joked about- we were pointing out the distasteful trait of the entertainment industry and it’s sadly funny bc it’s unbelievably blatantly true; and unfortunately it’s not just Korea.
@@GinaEverywhere yes not just in Korea, but Korea are the most open about it and proudly talk about it. Like a woman in YGTB said to Junkyu I picked you because of the visuals. I don't know if she was in part joking but I felt that if I was in his shoes I would have felt insulted. Cus that's not what I aim to be praised for
@@fzfxfcf as it is with everything, it's better never to generalize especially based on what you see on tv. I don't condone it and I certainly don't think current Korean entertainment industry is healthy in anyway though.
@@GinaEverywhere right it's not healthy. But you know when YG used to choose based on talents and not visuals. That's why Bigbang and 2ne1 came out. There are no "visuals" there but they slayed the music industry. Nowadays it has become superficial, most groups consist of dolls that look and sound similar and this invites superficial fans who come and leave quickly. Lots of people who like to talk about visuals 24/7 like it's something to measure and to praise for. About 10 years ago kpop fans didn't talk about visuals as much as talents. I'm just ranting cuz I find this frustrating lol. YG used to be the exception...
Yay! CLICKBAIT
@@GinaEverywhere stop used word 'YG'
No YG NO MONEY...
@@meirgg5911 tf?? How is the vocal trainer going to prove her credibility? She worked at a company and she can show it anywhere. This video was not meant to solely speak about YG! 🤦🤦 Don't put your universities in your resume then 🙄 YG Stan's are cringe af.
@@peace_wise2809 The thing is, if Gina had done as these people wanted, and just said "Big 3 vocal trainer", they would find something else to complain about.
Like "why the secrecy?" or "so which label did she actually work for?"
Either that, or they just want names.
Like "Idol A is ______" or "Idol B is actually ____ kind of person in private".
Great tips, i loved it! Anyone knows the youtube channel of Sol?
edit: i founded two! @musicsollee and @idongsooo
Glad you found it! 😃
