Great job Kevin, Great to see someone using the AX8 in this setting, I do similar type work here in australia, Your playing is great and the sounds speak for themselves! Great job
This is awesome. I'm gonna make a livin' with my guitarist ambitions too and I think the AX8 is a good product to work with. Good luck for the future man !
Hello Keven, Congrats, you definitely got awesome sounds out your AX8. BTW, you are an Amazing player and Wonderful Human Being. Big Hug from Puerto Rico -Josh Cintron 😍😍😍😂😂😂👍👍🤗🤗🤗🎸🎸🎸
Very nice video, exhibiting yourself in the context of a real live situation. AX8 (i.e., good modelling) definitely holds its own in this application. I would pit your setup against any traditional rig ...... clean, versatile, easy configuration, and much more cost effective than traditional amps, cabs, pedals, etc. (PLUS ..... reduced "roadie" overhead.) Even multiple guitars, as the Fractal unit can effectively emulate several different source guitar sounds as well. In today's extremely competitive professional player's world, i would think that a setup like this would make life much easier and enjoyable for the performer who has to quickly adapt to different playing situations. Kevin, this video was fantastic! The tones you were pulling off were great. Definitely sending an email to get those patches, if you’ve still got them. :)
I’ve downloaded the rock and jazz patches. Haven’t had a chance to go through them yet. My goal is to tweak them slightly for the church band that I’m in.
Happy new year bro! Glad it's helpful. I am not sure, its not my field, but I will see if I can ask some questions about it and answer these for a new video maybe?
nice video dude!! i have one question here, your XLR cable output where you connect? direct into mixer table? PA or other amp in loop fx? when i try to play in live throught PA system my sound is to much thinny. it's because of m EQ is wrong? i have ax8 since 2 weeks aprox. thanks!!!
Hey bro! I wish I knew... I was given XLRs that usually would go into a mic into my fractal instead. I think its being sent to the snake that goes to the console!
@@dogcatcherish Yeah unfortunately. I find it fairly hard to change settings on the fly, however given time to prepare, its most definitely an excellent unit!
I am just hovering over the 'buy' button on an AX8 !
Video is very helpful !!! :)
Thanks.
Glad you found it useful man!!
I decided to buy a AX8 because of your video. Thank you! Great tone and great play! Awesome
Great to hear man! Definitely a good choice.
Please let me know your thoughts about the unit after a while!
I would buy helix, but AX8 sounds better to me.

What IEMs do you use? I have Shure SE215s and I love em.
Hey man! I use a set of custom JH Audios :) Cant beat the affordability of the Shures, Ive had 215s and 425s in the past!

lol!
Jajajaja PENSÉ LO MISMO!
Why no color or touch screen? Come on Fractal everyone else at least has a color screen!
hahaha that would be very cool wouldn't it!
Axe Fx3 has larger color display, no touch screen though :/
