Ronson was pure genius! And underrated as hell! Not as a guitarist but arranger and producer!

Mick Ronson's strings break my heart they are so sweet, pretty, colorful.

Love the intimacy of isolated vocals. Feels like a peak behind the curtain, and as amazing as they are, it also makes it seem less magical - and easier to understand how a song this great could be created

Holy smokes, I had no idea Mick was so talented with so many instruments! Thank you for doing this, I'd wanted to hear the strings for this for so long and I'm pretty sure I damaged my hearing by cranking it up to search for it 😂

Woody was sooo good for Bowie. Perfect balance and restrained rhythm. Everything he did with the spiders (like his band mates!) was absolutely perfect for Ziggy!!

He plays the 12 string so well. I remember always fighting with mine to get the strings to not sound muted when played. It requires bigger callouses...lol.

Ludwig Classic Maples didn't exist in 1972. They were made of maple, but "Classic Maple" is a modern line.

Bowie was butt ugly back then. I became a fan when I was a teenager during his plastic solul era. When he started wearing suits. I later learned that he got his teeth fixed too around this time. And he picked up a couple of pounds. I also later found out during this time he was living on heroin , milk, and he was smoking five packs of cigarettes a day. My guess is that’s why he died relatively young at the age of 60.

And to think Mick Ronson did not receive any writing or production credit for this song is just shameful. He wrote all of David Bowies string arrangements during this period. Plus he played 4 out of the out of the 6 instruments used to create this song. Shame on you David Bowie... Just sayin'!!
