Never played the philidor, is it possible to reach this if the opponent plays c4 or d4 ?? Also do you have a couple of back up openings just to mix things up when your tired of the colle n philidor but are as easy to learn??
If you play against c4 or d4 you sometimes have to change it up with the King's Indian so make sure you know that structure. I don't really have backup "easy" openings but I do play lots of other openings as well
@@DhrjMakj its not a slow opening like the london and its way more exciting. It has thematic plans like the rook lift or protecting Bd3 at all costs and u can sometimes win with the greek sacrifice with Bh7...oh, and all of these plans are happening while Bb2 is sniping all the time, so ur opponent must be very careful. All of these ideas and many more make the Zukertort always exciting. The London has NO exciting plays, u play ALL the same moves in ALL games, in the zukertort for example against Bf5, Bg5 or early g6 u must play c4 and change ur setup and ur gameplan.
Curious how you would respond if the opponent played the Dutch with f5 on move 2? Stay with the Colle set up or go for something different? I've played the Colle a fair amount though recently I've been going mainly with the Jobava.
@SLChessDevelopment a speedrun is when a player tries to go from a rating weaker than their level of play, to a certain level quickly. You just seem much more skilled than a 1600 rated player
As a Colle zukertort player, love the speedrun you’re doing. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
I already play the Philidor and I'm considering switching to the Colle Zukertort as a result of your videos. Glad you are making chess videos again.
Glad you're enjoying them!
Great to see you back! I would love to see you try some dubious openings, it would be fun. Love from Bulgaria
Haha, maybe in another type of episode
I used to play normal colle now I'm playing the queen's gambit maybe I'll take it up again thanks to you with a little improvement
Nice!!!

How about the London System?
I don't like the London... way too boring haha
@@SLChessDevelopmentYou've said you play the Colle Zukertort & Phiilador because you like boring position
@@DhrjMakj those two openings at least have a solid plan to go for, london is a very slow positional grind
@@SLChessDevelopment The Colle Zukertort is a slow opening, like any other 1.d4 opening

Probably need to do something different! Luckily it’s not too common of an opening
Is this a speedrun?
Technically no, but also kind of? What is a speedrun :P
