Growing up as an afab autistic person, Monster High really spoke to me on a personal level. Every doll and character was different from another in such visible and intense ways, but the main crew still loved and accepted each other and celebrated their differences! Ghoulia in particular stood out to me because even though she was pretty much nonverbal [or at least, that's what I think the real-world equivalent could be] the others still included her and took the time to figure out what she was saying even when us as the audience couldn't understand her! Everyone's interests and quirks were taken into consideration, like Draculaura being vegetarian, or Frankie sometimes losing her hand. Even though everyone is so different, everyone still treats each other equally. When I was a kid, I yearned to wake up one day in that world and be loved and accepted, but even though I knew it wasn't possible, it still gave me hope that I could get that level of respect and have friends like everyone else, even if I stimmed or had to leave rooms when it was too loud. So yeah, Monster High was a little important to me.
According to one of her designer's tweet she was kinda lesbian coded, but in a censored way (so just not having a boyfriend and being powerful and gorgeous)
I believe the Monster High creators confirmed that Clawdeen is a lesbian. I don't know if that's true, but that's pretty cool if it is. Clawdeen definitely was the coolest character, even if she's at #3 on my favorite character list.

im gonna ramble a bit lmao: monster high was my first real interaction with "horror" and monster stories. growing up i was scared of everything even remotely frightening so the dolls actually helped me come out of my shell a bit. It also played a pretty huge part in my perception of femininity and what control people had over their presentation. My parents loathed the doll line, criticizing their fashion and how "inappropriate" their clothes were but as I got older I began to hold the doll line close as a symbol of rebellion and embracing my body for what it was. When I finally admitted to myself that I was nonbinary and not a woman, I continued to cling to the dolls for reminding me that my body was my own and no one could define it, because if my folks hated monster high for what it presented as and i continued to love it then the same story could be for my body and presentation. i was never allowed to own any dolls, but the franchise holds a special plac ein my heart.
i grew up with monster high and, as a kid who was criticized and outcast for being weird and freaky, their characters and dolls really helped me keep going throughout my early elementary school years. i loved clawdeen and frankie as a kid just because of how proud they were to be themselves. i really looked up to them and im glad that i did, because im still proud of myself for being weird and strange thanks to them love all the redesigns so far!cant wait to see what you do for toralei and the others

Monster high means a lot to me, it was there for me in dark, self-hating times as a kid telling me that differences are to be celebrated. Also who doesn't want a doll with 6 arms or knees that bend in unconventional ways??! Also the books have some amazing characters like Ms Tsu Nami, the movies were pretty good and just overall can't get enough of this.
I loved Monster High ever since I discovered it. I was a kid that enjoyed monster tales like vampires, werewolves, sea monsters, etc but I also liked Barbie and Bratz dolls. So Monster High was the literal combinations of everything I liked as a kid. Frankie Stein was my favourite out of them all. Her positivity was just inspiring to me and how accepting she was of everyone and how she just wanted everyone to get along- I connected with her and what she and her friends stood for. Honestly MH was just the best in my opinion. I couldn't really get into Ever After High, but Monster High was my jam. I only own one doll because MH was really expensive at the time but I love that doll with all my heart
OK BUT THIS REDESIGN >>>>. you made Clawdeen the baddie that she is! I love how Clawdeen is such a fan favorite, like, hah! she is even my favorite character from MH. ily, i love this redesign 💖
Monster High to me, as I’ve only gotten into it within the past 2 years, means a lot. It’s such a diverse and out there doll line and it’s so amazing how people can relate to the characters. My favorite will always be Abbee Bominable, simply because she reminds me so much of myself! Her out there outfits are what I aspire to dress like and her gorgeous design will always be amazing to me!
These videos are surprisingly interesting to me! I was never really in to monster high, I think I was just to young to understand it and by the time I got in to this stuff it was already over. But these videos have really made me interested in the dolls! Who knows I might watch the movies or something It's actually very fun to see your takes on dolls, I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying this
I love Clawdeen, she's my favorite and I love all of her fashion clothing! The redesign of Clawdeen looks so fabulous, like the Fashionista she really is 🤩. I always get inspired by her fashion clothing and put them in a way onto my own original female characters😍😊
Clawdeen has always been one of my favourites. I always loved her outfits. I think their use of animal print with her is 10/10, and I don’t usually like animal print.

Ah, Monster High. It was a huuuge part of my childhood! I still have many of the movies before the reboot, have seen probably every episode from the series on RUclips, spent so much time on the website and have three dolls. Clawdeen was my favorite from the start and was my first doll! I also liked the daughter of the boogeyman (I don't remember her name) and Abby. I love the redesign!
Bro Wisp and Gigi mean so much to me, 13 wishes is my favourite monster high film. Also Rebecca steam is an insperation for me when i was little and I wanted to be like her because she was just so cool to me.
First of all I love these so much. Second, despite my whole vampire anesthetic I think Twyla is the character I relate to the most and I regret never getting her doll
My favorite characters are Clawdeen, Draculaura and Lagoona. Clawdeen just screams ”girl power”, and she’s got really cool outfits(and purple is my fav color). I love vampires so ofc I’d love Draculaura. I love her cutesy style and Vampire aesthetic. I like Lagoona cuz I like mermaids lol.
Monster High kinda spoke to me purely because I went to an all black school throughout most elementary and middle school, and I was into kinda geeky stuff and have always been what would be called an Oreo (basically a black person who acts like a white person), so I felt like I didn't fit in with anybody there. Even during the one year I spent at a different middle school, all of my bullies were other black girls and almost all of my friends were white or Hispanic. Monster High was one of the franchises I got into that helped me realize that I don't need to be like everybody else. ❤️ Clawdeen was my absolute favorite Monster High character! I just loved that she, as a character, radiated with so much confidence, fierceness and strength without being anywhere near as self-absorbed as Cleo, plus purple has been my favorite color for years, so her color scheme consisting of so much purple definitely added to her appeal for me specifically. Her and her family being black coded did probably have something to do with it, too, but I don't think that was ever the main reason. I would love to see your take on Operetta, Honey Swamp, Cupid, Spectra and Venus McFlytrap at some point! :D
Monster High was such a hit for me, It helped me a lot with loving/accepting myself especially since I was bullied and always seen as weird for having ADHD. I remember that i had a Clawdeen and Draculaura doll (They two are my favs🥺❤️) and i also had all the movies. Characters like Abby, Draculaura and Clawdeen helped me a lot and i will always love Monster High for giving such a powerfull message.🙌🏼
YESSSSSSSSSSS!! I just commented on your other video about her a few hours ago and now she's here! This has made my week :) I've had a lot of Sinus Pressure this week so this was a great thing to go up today
Monster high means sooooo much to me. I had this big collection of i think 73 dolls and every doll was bonded with memories. Some with memories of playing with my cousin and some with my best friend who moved away. I have THE hardest time picking a favorite but, abby, robecca, spectra, iris, lagoona and ghoulia are my favorites by far.
Monster high, to me, is something that helped me find my style and who I aspire to be. For one, the fashion being so diverse and different, it helped me find out the type of stuff that I like. And along with the diversity in the clothes, the characters were too. Like you said, people were able to identify with the monsters and who they were. For one, Twyla. She’s pretty antisocial, and though she’s not my favorite character, I can relate to her and understand what makes her comfortable as a person who isn’t too social myself. When I’m around people I know, I’m pretty loud or outgoing, but i also have really bad social anxiety. I don’t like meeting new people, or going and doing things by myself because it overwhelms me. (Im getting a little better at it though) Another thing is that I love the dolls. It’s mostly because of how different the dolls are to anything else you would see. For example, Barbie or ever after high. They are two human looking dolls (with some exceptions), still with fashion and the message that you should be yourself and drive yourself to be what you wanna be, but monster high gives that message off with just looks alone. All the characters being monsters makes a connection to people, the way some of us would feel like an outcast or weird to society, they make it fun. They make it look cool and show you that it is, which is something I really appreciate! Also sorry if it’s a little redundant, I’m bad at writing what I think without it sounding like that
My favourites are definitely clawdeen and Frankie! Frankie was my first ever doll! Both Frankie and clawdeen just rocked themselves, and I loved that, and it made me happier to be myself
Okay, so, I had this playing just to have something to listen to and your words at the end, about mainly focusing on the "main ghouls," made me think of Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School. Now I want to see you redesign those ghouls... maybe I can get the motivation to do it myself.
Monster High was really the only doll line besides lalaloopsies that I seriously had multiple dolls of. The dolls had that, edge or difference from others that attracted me. I'm not even sure why anymore, but I did absolutely love the dolls.
I love Lagoona, Abby, and Ghoulia. I...didn't have the best household growing up. I only caught Monster High occasionally, but I loved it. I don't like people or loud noises, but seeing Ghoulia unable to speak but so obviously intelligent, it spoke to me. I don't like speaking very often, I'm sensitive to sound and social anxiety added to that just makes me way too nervous to speak, and seeing Ghoulia fail made me realize that it's okay to not always be the smartest in the room, and that it's okay to not have perfect grades, it's still something I struggle with, but I'm trying. And Lagoona was kind of who I wanted to be. Confident, grounded, kind. She was everything I aspired to be, everything I couldn't be, because of social anxiety and adhd. Abby helped a lot too, her intelligence and matter of fact manner was more like me, even if I did my best to speak full sentences and I spoke quickly when I did end up opening my mouth. I think Flora from Winx Club still tops them, mostly because she's the only good latinx representation I had growing up and she was relatively quiet, but still kind and strong. Both shows made my childhood, and with Winx Club ruined by netflix and MLP ruined by new writers, I'd rather that this section of my childhood stays untouched.
My fav monster high doll/character is cleo! She means a lot to me, during the rough times of my childhood i played with her doll and actually clawdeens too so the two of them tbh mean a lot to me.
monster high was like my fav thing when they first came out. they were my fav for a while til i went homeless bc i couldnt afford dolls anymore lol. i used to watch all the stuff they made. i was a super big loner but monster high always made me feel really comforted and welcomed. ive always been edgy so i liked them alot for that too lol. monster high makes me supes happy
Would love to see a redesign for Amanita Nightshade in your style. I think there's a lot of fun design choices that could be made when integrating deadly plants into fashion. Also, it's nice to see a plant-centric character who isn't just the mellow, hippie type.
I loved Clawdeen when i was younger because of her curly hair. I have dark brown curly hair myself and it used to make me sick, that every girl MC had straight hair. Now there is more divercity and i am not so angry about it these times, but when i was a kid character such as Clawdeen was a blessing!
This video is amazing (you're an amazing artist) and made me remember one Clawdeen doll I had that was the Draculaura's birthday, her clothes were a suit and that made me so happy for kinda breaking gender norms, and as a nonbinary kid, that was just amazing for me.Her head one day fell off and that day was just really sad for me, I spend most of the day crying. And that same doll came with a little keychain ( a paw one ), that was something that helped me with my anxiety for so long. Long story short, This queen helped me a lot with my gender identity and anxiety, . Fiction can affect reality
I wasn't allowed to watch mh till I was like 12 (bc my parents just knew zombies were in it and thought it was gruesome lol). I snuck watching it when I was 9 and I loved it. Still do! It was so cool seeing all these girls saving the world, and embracing what the world saw as flaws. It helped me gain alot of self confidence! My favorite is either Howleen, Twyla, Draculora or Lagoona- probably Twyla and Howleen tbh, I relate to them the most
I loved Monster High, they released when I was in high school and Ghoulia Yelps was definitely my girl. She is sweet, smart, determined and friendly girl. When they made her the comic geek, that, that stole my heart 😅 it was a done deal. That sealed my love for her, since I loved comics too.
I’m white but i literally never saw any black dolls growing up or the ones that were looked really weak and I remember seeing Clawdeen and thinking she was so gorgeous and well done
Bonita Femur was my first monster high doll. I was feeling sad after my first break up, and was aware of the freaky fusion line but wasn't sure if it was gonna be in stores near me yet. I found her and bought her. Unboxed her and fell in love with the level of detail she had. I def got into it on the tail end of the original run for sure. I got her over any of the others despite them being super cool because Mothman is my favourite cryptid/monster. if I had been younger when they came out I probably would have gone for the werecats I have Bonita, Luna, Two torali's (Freak do chic and great scarrier reef) And River and twyla from haunted.
I liked the message of monster high preferred the look of ever after high just because when I was getting into dolls I was getting into EGL at the time
A character from Monster High that means a lot to me is Operetta. Around when she first was released, I was in the midst of hyperfixating on Phantom of the Opera _really really hard._ Though I did complain about how "the Phantom is just a deformed guy who killed folks so he doesn't count as a monster like Dracula does" and blah blah, it does make me happy that Operetta's there at all. Yeah, she's not a "monster" in the same way a werewolf or a zombie are, but I rarely see Phantom-related anything outside of people talking about musicals or stuff that's specifically related to the book/Lon Chaney movie/what-have-you. For someone as young as I was at the time, having an interest I thought was rather niche be used in a cool thing like Monster High, the line that pulled from exclusively iconic horror stuff that everyone's heard of, that's validating. I'll take the confusingly-applied southern accent, artsy tattoos as her facial deformity, and anything else as long as I get to see Operetta exist and thrive. She gets the life of appreciation and acceptance that old Opera Ghost Senior didn't in his story, and that's important.
I was into monster high when it first came out but I never got that many dolls bc I wasn’t a big doll kid which I totally regret, fortunately I’ve been able to find some cheap ones on Etsy that I’ve been dying to get like howleen (I absolutely adore her face sculpt and bent ear) as a kid I loved draculara but now I’m more into Abbey and Lagoona but I still love Dracula and I’m determined to get at least two dolls of her! Also if you’re looking to buy more dolls EBay usually has MH dolls that aren’t crazy expensive!!
The character that means a lot to me is Spectra Vondergeist! I absolutely hate her personality, I always have, but her eyes are very important to me. Her scleras are a deep blue/purple and I have OI, a brittle bone disease, which also tints my scleras blue. It's definitely not as strong as the colour of hers, but her design makes me feel seen in it's own little way ❤❤❤ Ps your designs are amazing and I love you
I also really liked characters that looked like me since I was a Filipino and didn't see much representation of my country at that time. Clawdeen was definitely one of the characters I liked because she looked like me, along with Aviva from Wild Kratts and Sally Bollywood.
Me sees this:.... The monster high fan inside of me who’s been dead for 4 years: *starts to play the monster high intro* IM BACK C’MON AFTER THIS LETS WATCH A MONSTER HIGH MOVIE!!
as a kid, the message of monster high never really resonated through me. Like, yeah sure, every monster is unique, but even so, everyone is pretty and skinny. As someone who was already born "heavier than usual",and was never once skinny in their whole life, I just really couldnt relate at all to monster high. (Tho I didnt know that was the reason, or that I was supposed to feel included somehow) Like, idk, "yeah we're monsters, but at least we're skinny" or smthn. I've always had this issue when younger: since I was a girl, boys wouldnt be friends with me, but since I was fat, the girls didnt see me as a girl, and they'd bully me and stuff. So I really was alone my whole childhood. But even so, I loved the show nonetheless, and the clothes of the girls were always so stunning for me, I never managed to choose a favorite character cus all the girls were so pretty and I loved all their styles. My favorites were def Draculaura and Clawdeen tho I never managed to collect many of the dolls tho, because they were too expensive in my country, and even more in my city :')
I loved clawdeen so much because she was just as into fashion as I was as a kid I was very big on fashion dolls I just didn't like Barbie because when I was younger I didn't like how they weren't very diverse and they didn't have any dolls that were different
if you want can you do Medusas daughter? she's one of my favorites and i would love to see your interpretation ^^ I hope you're having an amazing day/night when/if you see this!
I was a Everafter high girl myself but Monster high was amazing and if I remember correctly I used to love Lagoona but I think my current fav would have to be Robecca Steam
Maybe make Cleo or Cupid, or even Kitty (idk if that was her name but she is the black cat that sings) those we some of my favorites but there is also Laguna, well there are just a lot of options so I’m just trying to give you more than one choice, or you could always ignore this comment completely ✌🏻😅
Hello Dreamy! I see that you use MediBang Paint, I use the same iPad and I also use Medibang as well. I have been using the app for 1and half years and I still don't know to much about the app and about what button does what so I would really happy if you could do some sort if tutorial video on how to use MediBang. Like what layer does what, what button does what, etc etc. If you could do this I ould really grateful because I want to make art as great as you!
Clawdeen and Lagoona are my favorites! I didn’t mind Frankie, Abby and Ghoulia and actually liked them too, I just didn’t really like Draculara I thought she was immature and annoying but I liked everyone else a lot.
Hello I'm a new subscriber and I was wondering if you could do a series of just drawing plus size woman or something to do with it anyway love your videos and drawings keep doing wht your doing 💕

This is amazing. That makeup and hair are everything🖤
Omg, my favourite character of the series, yayyyy, you're so productive, omfg 😭😭😭🥺✨ Please get a break if you ever need one though!!💞
your art is absolutely GORGEOUS
YESSSSSSSSSSS!! I just commented on your other video about her a few hours ago and now she's here! This has made my week :) I've had a lot of Sinus Pressure this week so this was a great thing to go up today
Monster high means sooooo much to me. I had this big collection of i think 73 dolls and every doll was bonded with memories. Some with memories of playing with my cousin and some with my best friend who moved away. I have THE hardest time picking a favorite but, abby, robecca, spectra, iris, lagoona and ghoulia are my favorites by far.
I love her design she looks like she just graduated from monster high and continuing her passion and dream of becoming a fashion designer
im in love with this design. granted i love everything clawdeen related but still !
Also sorry if it’s a little redundant, I’m bad at writing what I think without it sounding like that
Omggg she's my favorite doll painter we love him !!!
I love this daily posting project rn it is making my day every time, love ya dreamy!!
Would love to see a redesign for Amanita Nightshade in your style. I think there's a lot of fun design choices that could be made when integrating deadly plants into fashion.
Also, it's nice to see a plant-centric character who isn't just the mellow, hippie type.
Monster High taught us to accept ourselves and others, you can’t change my mind ❤️💅🏽✨
I loved Clawdeen when i was younger because of her curly hair. I have dark brown curly hair myself and it used to make me sick, that every girl MC had straight hair. Now there is more divercity and i am not so angry about it these times, but when i was a kid character such as Clawdeen was a blessing!
I really enjoy that most of this is just them going on about dolls and monster high haha

So Much pog power lol
I wasn't allowed to watch mh till I was like 12 (bc my parents just knew zombies were in it and thought it was gruesome lol). I snuck watching it when I was 9 and I loved it. Still do! It was so cool seeing all these girls saving the world, and embracing what the world saw as flaws. It helped me gain alot of self confidence! My favorite is either Howleen, Twyla, Draculora or Lagoona- probably Twyla and Howleen tbh, I relate to them the most
I loved her and was kinda my first wolf crush😊😊. I love the redesign you gave her made her more fashionable and sexy.
Oh my gosh... THIS FUCKIN BOOTS YOU DID, they're like, just so amazing
This might be my fav so far
Bonita Femur was my first monster high doll.
I was feeling sad after my first break up, and was aware of the freaky fusion line but wasn't sure if it was gonna be in stores near me yet. I found her and bought her. Unboxed her and fell in love with the level of detail she had. I def got into it on the tail end of the original run for sure.
I got her over any of the others despite them being super cool because Mothman is my favourite cryptid/monster. if I had been younger when they came out I probably would have gone for the werecats
I have Bonita, Luna, Two torali's (Freak do chic and great scarrier reef) And River and twyla from haunted.
I liked the message of monster high
preferred the look of ever after high just because when I was getting into dolls I was getting into EGL at the time
Gorgeous!
It's definitely not as strong as the colour of hers, but her design makes me feel seen in it's own little way ❤❤❤
Ps your designs are amazing and I love you
I regret saying i don't like the dolls now i think they look so cool and they have such cute designs
I like the low pony
my fav was and still is Frankie ❤️ oak why she just gives me a vibe 👍🏻
man I was NOT expecting Precure to get mentioned in this video but I definetly won't complain
Can you redesign Kiyomi Haunterly or Robecca Steam? They’re my absolute favorites of the whole line
I also really liked characters that looked like me since I was a Filipino and didn't see much representation of my country at that time. Clawdeen was definitely one of the characters I liked because she looked like me, along with Aviva from Wild Kratts and Sally Bollywood.
hi! i really like your design, especially the fur coat. i was wondering if you could do Lagoona or Twyla next, their my favourites. thank you!
My favourite character is Cleo De Nile. Her personality is funny, but her backstory of family issues is relatable.
My first MH dolls were Rochelle Goyle and Robecca Steam, it would be so cool if you redesigned them (and their other GFF, Venus McFlytrap)!
Me sees this:....
The monster high fan inside of me who’s been dead for 4 years: *starts to play the monster high intro* IM BACK C’MON AFTER THIS LETS WATCH A MONSTER HIGH MOVIE!!
Gorgeous :D
Given the new school year outfits: Clawdeen had the Ariana Grande ponytail before Ariana Grande had
Frankie is my favorite 🤗
Ngl I wish I was Frankie..
Clawdeen is my mom's favorite character, she thinks clawdeen is very stylish and fancy
I've always loved Lagoona, Robecca, and Ivy girl. I thought they were the absolute coolest things. Clawdeen's sister too (I can't remember her name) I
Could you the ghost girl, spectra I think her was something like that and Elissabat
As a kid I didn’t care about the messages in tv-shows lol, so all MH means to me is cool outfits.
as a kid, the message of monster high never really resonated through me. Like, yeah sure, every monster is unique, but even so, everyone is pretty and skinny. As someone who was already born "heavier than usual",and was never once skinny in their whole life, I just really couldnt relate at all to monster high. (Tho I didnt know that was the reason, or that I was supposed to feel included somehow)
Like, idk, "yeah we're monsters, but at least we're skinny" or smthn.
My favorites were def Draculaura and Clawdeen tho
I never managed to collect many of the dolls tho, because they were too expensive in my country, and even more in my city :')
Can you do Toralei? She's my favorite when I was little🤘😁❤
YOU SHOULD DO CLEO NEXT-
I LOVE MY MUMMY GIRL
I was a Everafter high girl myself but Monster high was amazing and if I remember correctly I used to love Lagoona but I think my current fav would have to be Robecca Steam
Maybe make Cleo or Cupid, or even Kitty (idk if that was her name but she is the black cat that sings) those we some of my favorites but there is also Laguna, well there are just a lot of options so I’m just trying to give you more than one choice, or you could always ignore this comment completely ✌🏻😅
Toreli (omg I forgot how to spell it sksksk)
Edit: its Toralei
@@christianwhite7946 no the other cat girl, the one in the Boo York movie, I think her name was Kitty
Could u draw ur own Rainbow High oc? 🤔🧸✨
I have a suggestion 👉👈
You could redesign Celestia Ludenberg
Clawdeen and Lagoona are my favorites! I didn’t mind Frankie, Abby and Ghoulia and actually liked them too, I just didn’t really like Draculara I thought she was immature and annoying but I liked everyone else a lot.
Hello I'm a new subscriber and I was wondering if you could do a series of just drawing plus size woman or something to do with it anyway love your videos and drawings keep doing wht your doing 💕
Abby Bominable (idk how it’s spelled) was always my d gas acidity
