Remixer's Notes:
A few years ago, my last serious relationship ended, and I was crushed. In the time I've been single, I focused all of my love, energy and passion into my music. I spent time cliche-dly getting to know myself. However, recently I've sensed my emotions gravitating towards seeing people more seriously again, and being open to the possibility of love. Which meant I had to be open to the "game" as well.
I was able to really express some emotions with this remix in a way that I hadn't before. I juxtaposed lyrics regarding love and those that are brutally sexual to mirror the juxtapositions I feel. The dropped-downbeats represent my hesitation and guarded nature. But overall, I wanted this grimey, nasty, rauchy feel...to capture the illness of love.
This lovegame is sick. Let the games begin.
