With the way they've abandoned chronology in the Predator series, i hope we one day see a Predator film take place in WWII Europe. So much potential in that premise.

The Predator Franchise needs to stick to the formula of taking place in different periods in history. People have been wanting a Predator set in Feudal Japan with Samurai, we could have a Victorian Era Predator movie set in England, maybe one set during the Civil War, even a film with Pirates. I think that would make them more interesting since having stories set in the future have been done to death.
I think there's still hope. What if the predator movies take place in the present and the prey movie are the ones that take place in different time periods?

I don't mind a female led Predator movie, since that's literally what Prey was. I don't think that's the problem. What I do agree with is that the fun of the Predator movies is very real people in their line of duty going up against alien hunters with advanced technology, and then learning to rely on their wits. Predator and Predators relied on people who have a heavy military backgrounds, Predator 2 had it be street cops, and Prey had Native American warriors. Having your main characters come from some advanced laboratory in the future has the potential to weaken the contrast between grounded weapons combat vs advanced weaponry combat. But if it's a good script, and we get more predator movies, I'm open to them trying new things.

No offense but what are you talking about? Some of the best Spider-Man movies have been made by Sony, they only really miss when it comes to the villian spin-offs and even then venoms quite good. Marvel have done nothing as of late to show that they care about quality stories.

Every time Sony starts executive meddling, the product is worse as a result (Spider-Man 3, TASM2, the villain spin-offs etc). Also despite some of their lackluster recent outputs, Marvel overall has a much better track record for quality than Sony. I’d put more trust in Marvel Studios right now than the studio that brought us Morbius and Madame-Web back to back.

I think many of the channels that are sick of female protagonist stuff are just tired of Hollywood acting like women never had leading roles prior to 2016. It's like Ripley, Sarah Conner, Wonder Woman, Xena, Alias, Nikita, etc. never existed. I'm not into calling everything woke and agenda but Hollywood is more focused on politics these days than quality. as a woman I wholeheartedly agree with this. whether a character is male or female they should be properly developed. unfortunately in today’s movies they haven’t been doing that, especially with female characters. nobody except the actual sexists are gonna be complaining if the girls end up outsmarting the predator and beating it because they will have probably earned it and worked up to it by that point in the movie. the people he quoted just sound like trolls who should not be taken at face value.

The thing about the fantastic women heroes of the 80s playing the heroes is, they started as the victims. They had an arc and character growth. Now they're just thrown into movies as being bad ass heroes that are unstoppable like a terminator. And that is what people don't accept or want to see. There is a Predator comic I have always liked called Captive that had scientists studying the Predator in a preserve in the future. I think a story like that reminds me of the new synopsis for the new one. I think it's good to keep the Predator movies diverse and I don't mind having one in the future as long as we make our way back to the Prey story and see Old Naru in the Old West one day.
You see, that would be an interesting movie, but that's not what they're going for. They want to put all the focus on some annoying kid that all they do is complain and then proceed to keep messing up while dragging everyone with them. Why? Because they don't care about the Predator. You know? The title character? The one people pay to watch and get more of? No. They force you to watch the actual star get humiliated in order to propel the whiny kid. When you see, the movie is almost over and all you get is one good Predator scene, because at least he gets some focus and isn't turned into laughing stock for once.

I don’t think the plot for the Predator Badlands movie sounds that interesting either but maybe if we know more about the plot then hopefully it will make more sense and hopefully sound good although I would loved to have Badlands be about Cowboys or Samurai fighting a predator😍 While I don’t think the casting or female characters mean the movie is Woke as a lot of people are saying, I think the reason why a lot of people are upset about the story about the twin sisters is because the most recent show on Disney Plus- The Acolyte was a story about two twin girls with one being good and the other evil and the writing for those characters along with the others and the plot of the story was just atrocious which is why I understand a lot of people are angry or concerned; however, since Dan Trachtenberg is directing it I have hope that the story he has in plan for this movie will work out and hopefully be another great film like Prey.

They should treat the predator franchise like an anthology. I agree its honestly surprising we haven't seen the predator vs cowboys or the predator vs pirates or the predator vs samurai. Remember Marvel Studios definitely wants a grounded Spider Man film but Sony being Sony just wants another multiverse movie for money. Besides Sony is in charge of the Spider Man franchise so Marvel can’t pretty much do anything. So we just have to wait until they announce what’s next for Tom Holland’s Spider Man.
The real reason people didn't complain about female heroes like Ripley, Sarah Connor, Elizabeth Swann, and Laurie Strode is because they had flaws and they were fleshed out with satisfying arcs. No one has a problem with female leads. They have a problem with badly written characters that writers prop up b/c they are female. All the leads you mentioned in past 70s and 80s movies were all well written and considered great movies. Compare that to a movie like Captain Marvel or Indy 5, the differences are night and day. No one complained when the first wonder woman came out b/c that was a really well done movie. Or look at a movie like Erin Brokavich where it was based on a real woman who took on a large corporation. It's all about writing. I could easily see in Venom 3 they tell what seems like Tom Hardy Venom's last story only for the ending to have them get booted to another universe again due to a bunch of multi-verses merging at the end of Avengers Doomsday to setup Secret Wars. Then after Doomsday, In Spider-Man 4, they do some Spidey vs Venom film that ends with Spidey getting the black suit and then Tom Holland Spidey can have the black suit for Secret Wars. Then, as we've all been theorizing, after Secret Wars they do the universe reset so they can recast certain characters and have a Marvel film universe where all the characters, especially FF4 and Mutants, can exist from the start like in the comics.
That predator plot does not excite me either, but I really hope it’s good because building off Prey is huge for the franchise. It was such a good movie and should have been released in theaters, if this movie sucks and they go back to just streaming movies I will be very disappointed.

as a woman I wholeheartedly agree with this. whether a character is male or female they should be properly developed. unfortunately in today’s movies they haven’t been doing that, especially with female characters. nobody except the actual sexists are gonna be complaining if the girls end up outsmarting the predator and beating it because they will have probably earned it and worked up to it by that point in the movie. the people he quoted just sound like trolls who should not be taken at face value.

Nobody cares that the female protagonists is powerful. The agenda is how they're doing it. Modern female heroes are perfect for no reason. No training, no backstory, no failure, insufferable attitude towards others, no personality; it's all about wake up and win. The fact that you showed Ripley, Connor, and Strode, who went through hell before they became bad asses, tells me that you understand what I'm saying.

@@3CFilmsI think what gin was trying to convey was that it unfortunately was a bit of a norm for all the main characters/protagonists having to be males which that obviously should be changed. But in the process of changing it, some of these movie companies would in the process put other characters down specifically male ones for “empowerment” which all this does is fuel the “im better than you cus im male/female” cycle rather than actually push for change, or at least thats my piece.

Then says she would be better at being a Hulk because she is a woman. So yeah, bad writing, but that's where the negativity starts. The thing about the fantastic women heroes of the 80s playing the heroes is, they started as the victims. They had an arc and character growth. Now they're just thrown into movies as being bad ass heroes that are unstoppable like a terminator. And that is what people don't accept or want to see. Its literally like the left yelling men are giving off toxic masculinity, while they still want all their female leads to carry those macho traits and outshine the others in the movies.
What growth?? Ripley was a random truck driver in space who beat up an alien. Her “growth” to the next movie where she is even more bad ass… she slept in a pod for 57 years. So her grow is literally napping and waking up more skilled. You insecure dudes would destroy ripley if she was created today.

There is a Predator comic I have always liked called Captive that had scientists studying the Predator in a preserve in the future. I think a story like that reminds me of the new synopsis for the new one. I think it's good to keep the Predator movies diverse and I don't mind having one in the future as long as we make our way back to the Prey story and see Old Naru in the Old West one day.
You see, that would be an interesting movie, but that's not what they're going for. They want to put all the focus on some annoying kid that all they do is complain and then proceed to keep messing up while dragging everyone with them. Why? Because they don't care about the Predator. You know? The title character? The one people pay to watch and get more of? No. They force you to watch the actual star get humiliated in order to propel the whiny kid. When you see, the movie is almost over and all you get is one good Predator scene, because at least he gets some focus and isn't turned into laughing stock for once.

I don’t think the plot for the Predator Badlands movie sounds that interesting either but maybe if we know more about the plot then hopefully it will make more sense and hopefully sound good although I would loved to have Badlands be about Cowboys or Samurai fighting a predator😍 While I don’t think the casting or female characters mean the movie is Woke as a lot of people are saying, I think the reason why a lot of people are upset about the story about the twin sisters is because the most recent show on Disney Plus- The Acolyte was a story about two twin girls with one being good and the other evil and the writing for those characters along with the others and the plot of the story was just atrocious which is why I understand a lot of people are angry or concerned; however, since Dan Trachtenberg is directing it I have hope that the story he has in plan for this movie will work out and hopefully be another great film like Prey.

Remember Marvel Studios definitely wants a grounded Spider Man film but Sony being Sony just wants another multiverse movie for money. Besides Sony is in charge of the Spider Man franchise so Marvel can’t pretty much do anything. So we just have to wait until they announce what’s next for Tom Holland’s Spider Man.
The real reason people didn't complain about female heroes like Ripley, Sarah Connor, Elizabeth Swann, and Laurie Strode is because they had flaws and they were fleshed out with satisfying arcs. Most female leads today are Mary Sues and sometimes think they're better than everyone (talking about you She Hulk.).

This agenda just needs to stop, women are equal we get it, bring something new to the table. In the same breath, they are painting men as less than or weak, there has been a shortage of male representation in general. Also let’s be honest , although women also watch these types of movies, it’s like 30 - 40% max, men consume more of these types of content. No one has a problem with female leads. They have a problem with badly written characters that writers prop up b/c they are female. All the leads you mentioned in past 70s and 80s movies were all well written and considered great movies. Compare that to a movie like Captain Marvel or Indy 5, the differences are night and day. No one complained when the first wonder woman came out b/c that was a really well done movie. Or look at a movie like Erin Brokavich where it was based on a real woman who took on a large corporation. It's all about writing. These same "man babies" alway say Japan does it better but manga has tons of strong female characters front and center. One Piece, Naruto, and My hero to name a few. Don't forget full metal alchemist how Armstrong's sister, Edward's mentor, Al's future wife, or that ninja girl are complete goats

I could easily see in Venom 3 they tell what seems like Tom Hardy Venom's last story only for the ending to have them get booted to another universe again due to a bunch of multi-verses merging at the end of Avengers Doomsday to setup Secret Wars.
Then after Doomsday, In Spider-Man 4, they do some Spidey vs Venom film that ends with Spidey getting the black suit and then Tom Holland Spidey can have the black suit for Secret Wars.
Then, as we've all been theorizing, after Secret Wars they do the universe reset so they can recast certain characters and have a Marvel film universe where all the characters, especially FF4 and Mutants, can exist from the start like in the comics.

That predator plot does not excite me either, but I really hope it’s good because building off Prey is huge for the franchise. It was such a good movie and should have been released in theaters, if this movie sucks and they go back to just streaming movies I will be very disappointed.
