  • Asked to submit to be featured as “Filmmakers Making A Social Impact," I had to answer a number of questions, but I had to submit to one particular in a video and this was the following question:
What are your "5 things I wish someone told me when I first started" and why? Please share a story or example for each.
These are five personal points I addressed and listen to how and what I elaborated for each:
    • If you’re going to be at the helm of your non-profit or for-profit company, expect four to five hours of sleep per night.
    • You don’t always need a degree to do the work you do and love, and college is not for everybody.
    • Go for it ~ take a risk and don’t look back!
    • Children are not the problem.
    • Basic guiding principles: be kind, generous, treat people with respect and dignity, apologize and be grateful.
    My $0.10 of wisdom.
