Glad you enjoyed it & all the others, it's been a fantastic challenge & great for people to come back & refer to whenever they want to, thanks for watching 😘
I'm in love with All your makes. After a certain time in your life you may or may not want to wear too many fitted dresses and tops and these are beautiful ideas to make. LOVE THEM. Thanks again for sharing them. Blessed week to you Sam.
It was great to catch up on Clubhouse. A different (for me) and engaging group of women! Brilliant! Some great dresses there! I wonder which one you’ll make for your entry??? 👍😁
I had 2 fabric possibilities and found 2 possible patterns but then stalled for ages before deciding I didn't want to make either of them. Then I suddenly remembered your tip about hacking a free top pattern and decided that was the way to go and it made me much more motivated. So I'm doing a hack of the Drop Sleeve Top by The Avid Seamstress and because I'd gone really simple I decided to try a new skill and added my own fisheye darts for shaping in the back and I'm really pleased I did. This challenge has really helped my sewing motivation so thank you. Can't wait for the 31st :)
I finished one, Sam! Thanks for all you’re doing, it’s amazing! I agree with you, actually some of the fun in sewing is playing fabric Tetris, or just creative problem solving, like using a different lining in the pocket. See you on the 31st!
Petite 5 foot 5. Lol. I can only dream of 5"5. I'm 4"10. Oh the difficulty I have with patterns Lol. I do get there eventually though. Thanks for your reviews
Ha ha, sorry, I meant her frame rather than her stature but I see what you mean. I was talking to someone at the weekend about it, there must be designeres out there that cater for petites, I will investigate further 😘
You have a good eye Denise, yes my son used to work around the corner from Liberty & used to get a discount from his work, sadly he's moved, so no more now but I do love it 😘
Sam, thank you for providing insight into your Remnant Bin Rescue Service, as I do believe this service is rather left out but much needed. Hope this creates a few smiles. ;-)
Thank you Sam I wish I had seen this before - love the look of the kaftan. My frugal frock is turning out to be my most difficult make to date - total nightmare!!
Thank - so much great information and your reviews. Love the fact that you modeled each dress and added pictures! My favorite is the wrap and dress with princes seams!
Some more wonderful patterns! :) I'm making the Peppermint Magazine Button Up Dress out of three linen remnants. Navy for side panels, cream for centre panels and a beige bit for the facing. I just need to add buttons!
Oh yes that would be lovely, Alice & co have a wrap dress with ruffles at the neckline which is free - have you seen that, it's really pretty, called the Georgie dress
I decided to make the Bardon Dress, after a lot of humming and hahing. I’ve only recently started sewing, so the only fabric that I had which was suitable for a dress was a little too narrow (only 112cm wide) so I almost gave up on the challenge. However, I decided to be brave. I had to cut the lowest tier two sizes down from the size I needed for the bodice and decided to cut the middle tier one size down. Thankfully that ploy worked. Hope we have some warm weather this summer so I can wear it. Apparently tiered dresses are on trend at the moment.
Good on you for persevering - 112 cm is really narrow so glad it worked out for you, where there's a will there's a way 😉 Summer is just around the corner, so you can waft around in your on trend dress very soon hopefully 😘
OMG! Liberty! my son and daughter in law bought me three two metre lengths of Liberty Tara lawn for Christmas I'm too scared to cut into them! I'd be really grateful for any pattern suggestions [don't have to be free} idiot proof please! Love your videos x
Hi Sam thanks for your response regarding pattern download unfortunately details on my tablet . I would print pattern out myself unfortunately the test square is not to size.
Hi Sam thanks for all the free patterns, rather last minute for frugal frocks I've been trying to work out how to use fabricate2021 not being that techno I'm wanting to send my pattern (a0) from file to your printers any help would be appreciated. Thanks once again.
Hi Elizabeth, I'll try to help. 1. Save the A0 file to your computer, take a note of where it's saved i.e. Desktop & how many pages it is. 2 Go to the Fabricate website fabricateshop.co.uk/products/print-your-own-pdf-sewing-pattern-a0-copyshop?variant=31842415509578 3. The link above should take you to the correct bit on the site but it's under Patterns,/Print Your own pattern 4. Click the little box that says 'Chose File' 5. This should then open up the files on your computer - If you saved it to Desktop, click desktop & search for your file there - choose the file that you want to upload - then click open, this should transfer it to the Fabricate website 6. There is a box underneath, which defaults to 1 page, you need to click the dropdown to the correct amount of pages & then add any further instructions that you may have 7. Click Add to cart 8. This will take you to a page where you can calculate shipping & check the order is correct 9. To proceed click on checkout - here you will need to fill in your details, email is crucial, so that we can contact you if we have any queries 10. On the payment details page - this is where you add the code - it's FF2021 11. Click Pay now, you'll be sent an email when the pattern is despatched Hope that this clarifies anything, if you're still struggling, just drop us an email info@fabricateshop.co.uk & we will try & sort you out 😊
Love this, love your vlogs! Thought I'd introduce myself since we've been chatting on IG about Clubhouse. Wanted you to know who I am, not a huge stalker!! LOL.I love your free pattern vlogs. I still haven't found my free frock yet, thanks for these.
Lol Rhonda, nice to 'meet' you 😘 Glad that you're enjoying the vlogs - I'm sure the right pattern will present itself in time - there's so many out there 😊
@@Frugalisama I don’t think I’m there yet to adjust the pattern on my own, but in time I will be. I also am working on shedding a couple inches, menopause expanded my belly (at least that’s what I’m blaming it on)

Great makes! I find the free patterns quite easy to sew🧵
Thanks Orcilla, yes often they are easier to sew. 😊
Thank you for this video. I am seeing the wrap dress with small ruffles along the neck edge. Think I’ll give it a go!

Aw thank you Janice, yes all is fine thank you - I'm planning on returning very soon - thank you for taking the time to comment 🤗
I have started drafting my own patterns as I get fed up with all the changes I have to make x
Great idea Julie, you'll get exactly what you want doing that & no pages to stick together!

Think of them as learning opportunities 😉
Thank you !
You're welcome!
Lovely ✂️x
Thank you 🤗
I have the peppermint dress printed and taped but I think it will be too small for me...right now
Aw that's a shame Lisa, it is a very small size range, luckily they have improved the range of sizes since publishing this one 😊
