A beautiful song - with the tint of melancholy, when played with photographs of soldiers who may have ended up at the front and perhaps came home injured in mind and body - and in so many cases - never came home
Wonderful. Richard Attenborough's use of this at the end of Oh! What A Lovely War was very impactful and it did a great job signifying the end of the war and what those that survived had to live with.
