A beautiful song - with the tint of melancholy, when played with photographs of soldiers who may have ended up at the front and perhaps came home injured in mind and body - and in so many cases - never came home

Wonderful. Richard Attenborough's use of this at the end of Oh! What A Lovely War was very impactful and it did a great job signifying the end of the war and what those that survived had to live with.

This is by the immortal Jerome Kern. Sounds incredibly modern even today.
Listen to Irene Dunne singing it.
