- After the French retreat from Syria, the British under Sir Sydney Smith had transported an army of Ottoman Turks to destroy the French army in Egypt and retake Cairo. As soon as he learned of this new enemy force, General Bonaparte immediately launched an offensive.
It took Bonaparte only nine days to gather the troops scattered throughout Egypt and to move them to Abukir.

Замечательные видео по истории, набиравшие на прошлом канале 500к просмотров, на нынешнем набирают не больше 10, разве так должны вознаграждаться огромные усилия по их созданию? Многоуважаемый автор, комьюнити верит и ждёт возвращение на старый канал и разблокировки уже отснятых роликов
Сам бы Наполеон раскритиковал такой иррациональный подход, ведь он всегда был против презрения к целому народу, языку и тем более культуре. Даже после столкновения с турками и мамлюками. А тут в 21 веке, если мягко сказать, это выглядит просто глупо. Вот и получается, что рассказывать про Наполеона и понимать его, две разные вещи. Тем более, что в РФ в связи с 1812 годом, сложилось негативное представления о Наполеоне. А через подобные видео, можно было бы доносить правду и побуждать задумываться людей, а не обманывают ли их по истории регулярно. Можно было бы делать вставки с обращением для Россиян, по поводу текущей войны, так, было бы гораздо больше пользы для всех. Мудрые ищут друзей среди врагов, а глупые, врагов среди друзей.
