We’re finishing up this unit study. My 9 yo enjoys the story format of the study. It also makes your kids think about what is fact versus what someone is claiming as fact based on little evidence. I will say we didn’t do as many activities with this unit as we did with Volcanology. We did read a chapter book. We did a fossil dig (took her several days to chisel out all the part before she could assemble it). We did the history core connections and discussed the appearance of dragons in ancient artifacts from multiple regions in the world. Working on a Chinese dragon lego build. Overall the unit has been a success!
Campfire is going to be my middle child's main curriculum next year for 10th grade. I'm really hoping that the career focus and cross-curricular approach improves his attitude towards school work. My other two will be using it as our group science/health course.
We have been eyeing Campfire. I was looking into the Veterinarian one cuz my oldest loves animals and would love it. I was waiting cuz i wasn’t sure if she was old enough for this curriculum.
Thanks for the video! Looks like a fun unit for sure! I dont know if i just missed it, but i dont see a link for the type of printer you have. Could you please add a link for that?
Thanks for this video. My child wants to do the Masterbooks version next year and this looks like a great additional resource.

How old is she? Campfire is great for elementary through adult! And there’s an early learner guidebook for any younger ones that are tagging along!
@@stephaniemurphy4501 she is 7 (she will be 8 by the end of the year)
@@bethyjg87 she’ll love it!
