Fun fact: Ruby was depicted as male in certain countries, to the point of being redrawn with a mustache. She wore the wedding dress as a response to this and force broadcasters to either show a man in a dress or skip over a plot-crucial episode.
It's fun to think that they gave her a male voice actor to depict her as a man and thus avoid gayness, and ended up portraying her as a trans girl.

@@ultradeathboy unfortunately because it was a whole episode dedicated to the wedding, had ruby in the dress so that it couldn’t be spinned as a straight relationship, and also included heavy plot relevance i.e the diamonds coming to earth, it made it so that it couldn’t be censored in other countries and therefore had a big impact on the money the show made as well as the support from other countries.
I like how despite the riffing you can tell they are genuinely nostalgic for this show

I know they're joking about Steven getting a skull fracture from that rock, but an episode from the Steven Universe Future spinoff shows that he ACTUALLY HEALED FROM A SKULL FRACTURE at one point. It turned out that Steven has been injured a lot though years of adventures, it's just that his Gem manages to heal him up every time. The MENTAL trauma is what really breaks him by the end of the series.
The skill fracture could've came from Jasper's really hard headbutt. Damn.

To be honest I always preferred the metal remix cover of the Sans Stronger Than You. That was how I was first introduced to the song so it was surprising to say the least when I watched SU for the first time and Garnet started spitting bars so the tune of a random tumblr sexyman I hadn’t thought about in ages.
