AN UNEXPECTED DETOUR: OVERLANDING THE OREGON OWYHEES IN MY BRONCO: DAY 3
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 9 фев 2025
- On day 3 of exploring the Owyhee Canyonlands of Oregon in my Bronco, I leave Succor Creek and head to the Brich Creek Ranch. On my way, I stumbled upon Jordan Craters, a 26-square-mile area of lava rack with craters and caves to explore! After that, I headed to Birch Creek, and on the way, the Bronco got absolutely coated in the mud as I had never seen. I spent the evening hanging out by the fire, getting some chores done, and hanging out with a rattlesnake I found near my camp site... Or, it found me rather.

Man..... Your videos are just plain great. For the longest time I've told myself that solo excursion videos can't be as good as videos with a group and lots going on..... You my friend, have taught me I couldn't be more wrong. Keep up the great work.
Wow thank you so much! I am so glad that you are enjoying them! Solo travel is so healing for you as an individual and I think as a viewer it kinda allows you to relax a little as well. I love my solo trips!
@@OFFTHEGRIND yeah I definitely need to take some tips from your videos... Do you color grade as well or no? Cuz they look great
They really are. Most people visit places like this but don't take the opportunity to film and make great vlogs such as Off The Grind Chanel.
I do color grade. I mostly focus on exposure to make sure that is consistent throughout but will also mess with the color as well. The key is subtle changes
Thank you!
The ending with the acoustic was perfect!
Thanks so much!
I thought you couldn't pump your own gas in Oregon?
Anyhoo, great vid. Thanks for the top notch production value.
I actually filled up in idaho since it is right on the boarder.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Bro I’ve been following you a while and got to say your videography and story telling has become top class! This series is gold.
Wow thanks so much! I work really hard to get better with each video
have a good trip bro :)
Very nice, love the guitar instead of the commercial music. Very nice scenery. Thank you for posting.❤️
Thank you! I’d love to incorporate more guitar in to my videos. I just have very few original songs lol
Oh man, this is good. 👍🏻❤️
Thank you!!
Awesome drone video works!
Thank you!
Love how you incorporated the guitar into this! 👊🏼👏🏻
Thank you! I really like to throw in an original song when I have one that fits the mood
Views on views, absolutely stunning. I was unaware of this area until now. Its a long ways from Minnesota, but this place just made my list of future adventures.
Rightfully so! This place is incredible
Thanks for sharing - I can only imagine how long it takes to film and edit. Subscribed
Thanks for joining the adventure! It’s a lot of work, but I love every minute of it!
Looks amazing! Just got a F150 Tremor, and would love to explore! Thanks for the awesome vid and inspiration. Cheers
Congrats on the new rig! Hope you can get it dirty very soon!
Good vibes as always. Thank you
Another amazing ep man. Absolutely killed the clips and editing. What an adventure.
Thanks so much! Only one episode left 😢
Love your content! You're the best! This is my obligatory content to improve your results in the RUclips algorithm. :)
Thank you so much! I am glad you are liking what you see!
Nice work. Thank you!
Thanks!
Been through the "Owyhee mud" alot in my Bronco. Bet you're still working on removing it! 😀 Love the series, this is my back yard, but seeing it in this light, especially the drone footage is very cool.
I am indeed still trying to remove all the mud! It’s freaking wild stuff! I’m glad you liked the video though. You’re lucky to live to this incredible area
Cooool, a snake! Least it may take care of mice for ya ... keep them out of your vehicle, nibbling on wires.
That’s a good point actually. Still hate them though lol
Looks like a great trip! Thank you for sharing your trip with us!
It was incredible! I am going to make this a quarterly thing for sure!
Interesting series. Inspirational for sure. thanks.
You’re welcome! I hope you liked it
Another great video! Man, what a trip that must of been. Can't wait to see part 4!
Thanks! Part 4 is gonna be good! Bummed it’s over after that though
Awesome video....Couldn't be 😊 better

Next time your axe get stuck when spitting, flip everything upside down and swing the axe so the backside of it hits the ground. The momentum of all the weight suddenly stopping will be driven through the axe into the wood.
I've actually done that before and it has worked really well. I chose not to do it this time because I was chopping on dirt so I thought it would sink in to the dirt and kill the inertia. I supposed it wouldn't have hurt to try though
Great videos! Loving your adventures! Thanks for sharing - subscribed!
Thanks so much!!
So much fun! It was incredibly entertaining! Thank you for taking me along on this overlanding adventure. Looking forward to your next video!😎😎😎🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Helen, you’re so sweet!
Awesome series, brotha! Epic trip.
Thank you!
Great video thank you for posting it
Thanks Nic!
Love your boy Luca❤So cute!!!
Thanks so much Helen! I’m biased, but he’s the cutest kid ever!
Nice pickin’ 🎶
Thank you!
Great video
Bursaspor 🐊🐊🐊
Keep it up! Love the videos
I absolutely will! Thanks!
I believe it was definitely non venomous due to the shape of the head. Not sure what type it is but it resembles a rat snake that we have in Alabama. Definitely an outstanding video and the guitar track integrated in the last portion of the video was sweet. Looking forward to Day 4. Safe travels!
That’s good to know. But venomous or not, HELL no!! I hate snakes! Lol! Glad you enjoyed the video though!
You need a MORRFLATE system for your tires to deflate & inflate. Great vid!
Man I really do. Something that’s been on the list for years but have never pulled the trigger
Looks like an incredible trip. I'd love to check out Owyhee's someday. First learned about them from Venture to Roam. Kinda looks like a mix of Iceland and Hawaii at times. Gotta love how the Bronco collects mud haha.
It’s a must visit for sure. And Will captures this area beautifully in his videos and made me want to go that much more! And yeah collects mud like nothing I’ve ever seen before
Gorgeous!
Right!? It’s so beautiful out there
@@OFFTHEGRIND I'm enjoying this series sooo much.
I don’t know what drone you use but the scenic shots look absolutely amazing!
Thank you! I use a DJI Mini 3 Pro
What exhaust do have on your Bronco?
The quality of your video is excellent. Good job. Oh, that cave is wild.
Thank you so much! This was a really fun day of an excellent trip.
I have the corsa sport exhaust with the high clearance option
So for us non campers- was their a nice base camp with hotel to day trip?
Jordan valley is really close. Marsing and Homedale are also very close. Not sure what they have in the way of accommodations though
If you’re sitting next to a picnic table you’re not lost enough.
I agree. But sometimes the established places are worth stopping and checking out. This is one of those spots
IS THERE A CHANCE YOU CAN REVIEW YOUR BRONCO AFTER THIS TRIP? THANKS !
I actually filmed one but haven’t had time to edit! I’ll get one up for sure
@@OFFTHEGRIND THANKS ! AND ALSO A REVIEW OF YOUR ROOF TENT... IS IT 100% WATERPROOF? DUSTPROOF? ANY SOLAR PANELS?
You can easily see why Native Americans saw these areas as sacred
What kind of hard top is on your Bronco?
The factory hardtop version 2
I hate snakes, too. I might have overreacted if that thing slid by me. Especially if I was packing.
Haha it was hard to hold it together! Snakes freak me out so much
Never go out their with out a gun! At least a 44 mag. There are dangers that the Government will not acknowledge. Last yr 686 back packers/hikers disappeared. Forest rangers insist you be armed😎 Michigan
Aliens?
Is you Bronco iconic silver or carbon metallic?
Carbonized Grey
NOTHING bothers me outdoors, except snakes. Not sure what it is about them!
Dude I am so with you! I hate snakes so much
Unfortunately my fear/phobia of snakes prevents me from even wheeling in the Summer time.
That’s a bummer. I hate them too, and I know phobia is different from simple fear, but I hope you can get out in summer more. Amazing time of year to explore
Oh come on you can go further down that rabbit hole and see if it turns into the movie Decent
Lol that’s gonna be a hard pass for me
Looks like a Bullsnake (gopher) non venomous.
Ah okay. I wasn’t sure. I thought it was a juvenile rattle snake cause I know they don’t have rattles. But are typically darker in color I thought
Yep. Bull snake. Good to have around. They actually kill and eat rattlesnakes.
stop using that scratched up non-sticking pan, once the coating is broken, it's releasing tons of horrible bad stuff you don't want to go inside your body,
Shhh... Birch Creek Ranch is supposed to be a secret! We're not supposed to tell anybody about it. Terrible place to visit. Too far from town. Mud. Dust. Snakes. Ticks. Dirt. You get the picture... 😈
Lol I get it for sure! What a terrible area. Avoid at all costs
