@@OFFTHEGRIND It is on my list as well. I last did it 2 years ago. I'm a member of a BC Off Road Club for the sole reason of keeping current on Whipsaw. The best time to run it is in August or September when the monster bugs have died down but you probably know that. Anyway, hope you get another shot at it soon!
Sweet video! I would suggest using dc power. So you don't have to run the inverter on the ecoflow. You will get way more efficient power consumption. There is a decent to big loss going dc to ac.
You know what’s funny, is that’s typically what I do. That also gives me the option of putting the fridge in the car power if something happens to the power station. I did it this way this time cause I felt it visually made the point a little better
Dude when you close the door and the music plays! that was dope! awesome video man. I wanted to cry when it fell!! Can't wait to see the next videos you make.
Hopefully you guys get to run the bronco through whipsaw again some time. im thinking about geting one in the next couple years and want to see how it handles it. my current rig probs would not make it hahaha
Haha yeah that’s not really a trail you want an unreliable vehicle on. But I really hope I can get back up there next year in more favorable conditions
@OFFTHEGRIND yeah I would definitely need a lift and tires to make it through that trail. The truck itself is reliable its mostly just the clearance issues hahaha
I just stumbled across your channel, we don’t get the Bronco’s here in Australia. New subscriber here! I’m looking forward to checking out more of your videos. This one was awesome. Cheers

Makes 8 to 10 servings.
so I stumbled along this video because I have a Colorado trail boss on order. your video production quality is insane. Im sure its a matter of time before you take off. you have the perfect music for your videos too. what do you use to find trails near by? also how to the roof tents hold up when getting wet then stored away?
Thanks so much! Honestly, music is one of the hardest parts of putting videos together so thank you for saying that. I use Google and Gaia gps to find spots. I just look for terrain features I know I like, typically around water. Where to next overland had an incredible video on this. And they hold up great! Just have to be sure to air them out at home as soon as you can like you would a ground tent
Thank you! Teddy cuddled up with Shaun actually. Lol jk, he slept in the back seat of his Jeep. Still waiting for his rack to arrive so he can mount his roof top tent
@@OFFTHEGRIND ya I went in by myself as the people I was with didn’t either. I’ll send you a short clip on Instagram of 4 min vid I took to give you a taste
To be honest I’ve never seen anyone do that but I think that makes a lot of sense. I feel like you can direct sparks better that way, using the knife almost like a backboard
@@1matthew1018 can’t go wrong with that!! You can always lift and get bigger tires if you want. The different gearing in final drives makes a bigger difference than I thought it would, but not a deal breaker at all
I would join online interest and groups and attend events to connect with people. For example, ikamper has events held at their warehouse where you can meet people
I do not. I have a -20 degree bag from ikamper that I use. I used to have a vevor but it was honestly more of a pain than it was worth to setup and transport
I was enjoying the video until you encountered the broken down suburban/tahoe. It was disappointing that the three of you had no confidence in your vehicles or your abilities to drive around in the snow. Oh well I will move along.
Well, it’s hard to tell the difficulty on video, but there is no way we would have made it around the suburban without side swiping it. Also, illegal to cut down live trees which was our only other option. It’s not a lack of confidence in the rigs. If anything, it’s a really good understanding of them and the conditions we were presented

Right?!
Lucky they did too! The snow was so unpleasant lol
Whipsaw...one of my all time favorites! That pork shoulder is still good!
I wish we were actually able to complete it. I will definitely be back to attempt it again
