I became obsessed with Solar’s Save Me and Moonbyul’s low notes. Their harmonies ✨ I absolutely love the live clip so this era is already starting out great for me 🫶 I will keep an eye out for the 4 seasons concert. Thank you for reacting to all of it 🫶
The live version is way better and I'm glad they uploaded it. There's so much autotune and other processing on the studio version I find it hard to listen to. Reminds me of the excessive vocal processing on Wheein's Whee album.
oh i'm so glad someone else mentioned this, idk what happened on the production side, whether there's new people in rbw since park woo sang left maybe? but i always loved how raw the vocals are in mamamoo tracks and i really dislike the recent few songs that sound so different on that front
@@KB42moomoo You might be right about new people vs PWS. There's always a certain amount of processing on vocal tracks but in the past RBW has been gentle with it other than going overboard with reverb at times (WAWN). The quickest way to make someone's voice sound generic is to autotune and compress it into a smear of sound. If you're a mediocre singer it can make you sound ok (level up) but why would you want to level down great singers and make them sound like everyone else?
@@isadoraboing Ditto. Their voices are hot wired to their hearts and souls. Too much processing on their vocal tracks throws a blanket over the unfiltered immediacy, honesty and conviction in their singing. It's kinda like taking a wonderfully resonant acoustic guitar and muffling it by covering the sound hole.
I'm not sure if you're following Hwasa's collaboration with female legends of Kpop (Wansin, Um jun Hwa, Lee Hyori, and Boa) in the Dancing Queens tour. In the last set of vids for that (performance just a few days ago) the other members joined her and did Starry Night (a particularly good rendition) after her solo LMM. So whatever the state of the contracts they don't have any problem with still performing together.
Honestly they should just record a live, mostly processing free version for most MMM songs. Kpop producers are way too attached to using studio tricks instead of letting the music speak for itself.
This song is so hard to sing! When I heard it for the first time I thought there is no problem in me singing it.... welll then I tried 😂😂😂😂 it is hard you guys 😂
ty for reacting! acoustic version is better, agree that butterfly shot was amazing, i missed it when watched on my own so ty for making me notice btw onewe's giuk helped with creating save me!
ANd S>olar was afraid of covering Wheein cause of the high notes???? We all know Yeba is a little bit crazy, but after this song there are no excuses 😛
Personally I didn't like the studio version, I felt like the lyrics were suited to an OST sound, but it was like they decided to change the composition of the instrumental to turn it into something else causing the vocals to become almost generic or uninteresting. The acoustic version totally fixes that, enhancing the lyrics and the emotions from the vocals.
The acoustic version SLAYS!!!

I don't understand why they put effects in their voices, Byul sounds so much better here with her natural voice and deep tone. Really!

Omg i feel the same way! Of course i'm watching the mv to help with the numbers, but i'm obsessed with the live version, it's so soulful

Not to mention the theme of that concert was “song for you” and hwasa said the only people she could think of was mamamoo 🥺
