Yeah, but that's a normal thing with time travelers. You leave and travel across time and space and go back to the moment you left, but you still remember all of it.

@@jimmuscle2891 Okay, so Jack leaves in a certain month. Goes to Utopia with the Doctor and Martha. The Master steals the TARDIS and heads back to some time in 2008. But he's been there for a FEW MONTHS. So when the Doctor and Martha and Jack get back to Earth with Jack's Vortex Manipulator, months have passed. So THAT was the period of time that Torchwood spent without Jack. The Year That Never Was doesn't start until the Master kills the president on the Valiant. But still, all of those months passed. Maybe not exactly a year, but less than that. Several months without Jack at Torchwood

well, owen and tosh were together for a while i think, between jack and owen there was always just friendship and jack was a little in love with gwen from the beginning. the only thing that i thought was really weird was owen and gwen making out in the episode cyberwoman, that was just completely random.

I'm pretty sure he straight up said he loved her in a later season when something happened to Gwen's daughter. I don't really remember what it was about but they practically confessed their love for each other in that scene.

I've always lowkey shipped Jack and Gwen throughout the show, but never wanted them together. Just enjoyed the relationship that the showrunners wrote in for them. This scene in particular shows more about Jack than it does Gwen. And it proves that even though both of them had feelings for each other, each had to settle for what they could getc(Gwen for Rhys, because as she said "no one would have me", and then Jack for Ianto right after hearing about Gwen and Rhys). Jack was always wishy-washy with his feelings for people (even in Doctor Who). There was never anyone he felt he could settle down with because he liked the rush, and could never find himself to be vulnerable enough for anyone. He allowed himself to be that way with Gwen because she saw straight through his bravado and charismatic exterior. He probably hated it at first, but realized he liked having someone finally understand him. That bond created one of the strongest friendships. The way Jack finally lets his guard down in this scene, and the way Gwen reacts when she realizes that this whole time she could have been with Jack and taken his feelings at face value instead of overthinking. However, Gwen wanted a simple life, and realized through Torchwood that although she loved the thrill, she hated the pain she felt and the things she saw. She felt herself with Rhys and always came back to him once she made a mistake or saw something traumatic. She felt happy and "normal" with him and that was why she never even allowed herself to expand upon anything with Jack. Truly a fantastic little moment of character development in this scene.
I agree with all that except I don't think that jack couldn't settle because he liked the rush. I personally think that he didn't allow himself to settle with people he truly loved because he was too scared to lose them, being immortal and all. Like, the two people that he loves the most are clearly Gwen and the doctor and correct me if I'm wrong but they're the only people he flirts while never actually sleeping with them because he cares too much about them and wouldn't want to lose them. And he also knows that this life is hard and wants her to be able to have something normal in her life to hang on to when things get too difficult that's why he's always pushing her to hang on to her relationship with Rhys. He loves and respects Gwen too much to allow himself to lose her.
I get that the Master's reign never really happened, but Saxon was still Prime Minister and still killed President Winters. Why doesn't Gwen remember that?

Its probably because its so small and new, pretty sure you need like 10,000 or 100,000 subs before you can even get verified.
Because a youtube channel pays when you have lots of viewers . The advertisers do not rely on the subscriber as much as they used to but on the general views of a persons videos now a days

For how progressive Chibnall likes to think he his, he sure as hell tried to throw as many obstacles in the way of jack/Ianto in Torchwood. At least RTD came back in series 3 to fix that, however brief it ended up. Hated Chibnalls dumb forced thing between Gwen and Jack that came completely from nowhere
dr103 I know he did, but the point still stands the jack/ Gwen thing was something he shouldn’t have pushed. Ianto/Jack was obviously an RTD idea because I can’t see heterosexual chibnall deliberately writing a gay couple back in 2007 or whenever it was. I just don’t see why he tried so hard to make jack look like a cheating dick completely disrespecting Ianto by always brushing himself up against Gwen and lurking around her like some sex starved pervert

@@obiwankenobi687 I mean yeah, I agree. The gwack scenes never felt forced, just out of place. They're odd. I don't like to think of those scenes as weird romance but more as an intensely deep friendship, that's how I like to see their relationship anyway.

I think that the actress who plays the character GWEN should reappear in another show series; Be that show series might be BCC America FANTASY show, or if it might be a spinoff show series of (DOCTOR WHO) that involves the adventures of JENNY (The Doctor’s) instant daughter.
This scene always makes me uncomfortable and I don’t know if it’s lack of chemistry, the writing or the fact that it feels like it’s being forced by the writers.

I never liked the whole jack/Gwen thing in the show. Just coz Jack’s attracted to anything that moves and Gwen is the character we follow first into Torchwood, doesn’t mean they should be shoved at each other and pulled back constantly because oh there’s another more normal guy ready there. Gwen already has cheated on Rhys with Owen and still there’s jack, and Jack and Ianto have their own better thing going on, let jack and Gwen have relationships with other people and still be close to each other but not keep hinting that if everyone went away they would jump each other. The doctor never pined over Amy whilst she loved and chose Rory, have jack and Gwen have the same friendship.
It’s like he tries to get with Gwen here, then after he feels and sees the ring, he acts at first like he’s been betrayed, it seems like he then was more with Ianto later by default or fall out option and that’s not fair.
I strongly dislike this scene. He’s hitting on gwen and ianto as the second option. Rly bummed me out..

@@dimebag88m Nope, I'm talking about Janto as in the ship name for Jack and Ianto. The person who runs this is posting loads of videos that shows all the gross Gw*ck scenes but none of the Jack and Ianto scenes. Jack and Ianto was what made this show special. We have never had another sci fi show since where the main character was unapologetically bisexual and in a relationship with someone of the same gender, and just have it be normal.

Yes that's the only thing that I don't like about this account, everything is focused on Gwen. They didn't even give us the scene when Jack asked Ianto out on a date.
I just hope that they upload the scene from "to the last man" when they kiss, that was one of the cutest moments of the show.

This is part of what I DIDNT like about Torchwood. There is a kinda date rape vibe throughout the show. Whether its alien perfume or pheromones from the future. I think its a kind of gay fantasy (gay men have WAY more partners than any other group).
1. Date rape vibe? The only scene which could be considered date rape is Owens scene in the first episode with that perfume, however the subject of whether he did actually rape them or not is quite strongly debated about. Any other scenes were consensual sex, flirting, innuendos or kissing
2. It looks like you're talking about Jack Harkness, if so, like I mentioned before, he didn't even use the alien perfume, Owen did. At least get your references right
3. John Barrowman, the man who plays Jack, is gay. Jack is not gay. Jack is omnisexual, meaning (and to quote Tosh) 'He'll shag anything if it's gorgeous enough'
4. There's nothing wrong with having lots of partners and that fact alone does not have anything to do with date rape. Being gay has nothing to do with date rape. And like I mentioned before, Jack isn't gay. No ones gay in this show. They're all bisexual. So to me you basically said the part of Torchwood you didn't like was all the gayness.
