I did this about a year ago. Dropped the front subframe and rebuilt all. Including replacing defective oil level sensor that was ground to frame to keep engine light out.
In 2008 (before I parked it) I too had already done the front motor mounts which is why I I didn’t replace them in this video. You can tell they are new. Changing the oil level sensor is tough from under the car. It was a lot easier with the engine on the stand.
I may need your help 🤗. Have you any idea where to get the olie pump chain guide and tensioner? I tried many shops in Holland and and nobody have it 😢. And some of them told me that de guide is no longer available 😮. I hope you have a suggestion? 🙏
The oil pump chain guide and oil pump chain tensioner is readily available here in the US. Mercedes no longer sells the chain, but OEM is available. When you purchase the oil pump chain I suggest you purchase a chain that is a complete chain without the link just like Mercedes sold it. Here is a full OEM (iwis) chain that I would purchase: www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/0009978394.htm And here is a chain tensioner: www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/1161811059.htm
@@h.v.g7882 bummer. It doesn’t say that for me. There has been dozens of parts that Mercedes claimed was no longer available that later show up. I believe it will become available. This is one of the reasons I hate this vehicle. There is an expensive one on eBay: www.ebay.com/itm/266341331289
@TonyLiveTV seen de guide on Ebay, looks different from the original. If it fits its oke. Better expensive, they nothing 😜. I send an emai to Pelican, hopefully 🙏 it's still available 🙏. Thanks again Tony 😃. Kind regards Helmer
@@h.v.g7882 what about this one. It say R107. Not sure if this will work or not: parts.theslshop.com/mercedes-benz-engine-oil-pump-chain-tightener-guide-6011810159/
