  • This is a large size yellow silkscreen from 1996.
And it is framed and glazed twice.
With on the left: Float Glass.
And on the right: the use of Tru Vue Optium Museum Acrylic®.
And what you can see immediately is that there is
almost no reflection with the Optium Museum Acrylic.
And even when I move closer.-Let's move towards the text. You can see me in the reflection.
And um...this is how it looks up close.
If I move to the Optium Museum Acrylic ...There is almost no reflection.
You can still see me.-I am waving. But there is so much less annoying reflection.
And another advantage of the Optium Museum Acrylic, is that it is 99% UV resistant.
And with the Float Glass, that's less than half of that. It's like 45%. But it's really beautiful. There is almost no reflection.
A big difference as well is the price. Optium Museum Acrylic is high-end in price.
And the Float Glass is almost like regular glass.
But this is something you could consider when you want to frame your artwork. What kind of glazing do you choose?
Let's stand in the middle of the silkscreens here. On the left one, you can even see another silkscreen in the reflection. And on the right, the Optium Museum Acrylic. With hardly any reflection, it is really beautiful.
So it is up to you. What you want to do.

Have you noticed micro scratches in the acrylic?

At first, we thought we did (and we thought we had to send it back). But the lady who created the frame received a special cloth with the TruVue Optium Museum Acrylic. And this did the job. Good luck with yours.
