    Your expenses to profit ratio is way out of wack. If you're spending almost 70% of what you're making, that's a failure 😂😂

  • @bemagnetic224
    @bemagnetic224 Месяц назад

    This is why most owner operators fail because the trucking business is only profitable if you have a fleet of trucks, and your profit margin will be higher as well. This is how companies are able to stay afloat.

    if you own a truck outright, then it would be worth it, but with all the hours u have to put in to do all this, it's not worth it. down time for the truck with maintenance, scheduling loads, and all the other time ur spending managing all of this, it's not worth it.

    If you running a truck should be making 5000 or better a week. If you not Making that as a owner app its pointless. Might as well be accompany driver hourly almost all of them are paying 28 to $30 an hour full benefits and 401k. An your home every night. Oh you're going to get a good night's sleep because you going to be touching a lot of that freight.

So basically in 4yrs you paid 200k for a truck.... So that's an APR of 17% +/-.... It's a good program for people with bad credit and no cash... It's worth it for some but not for all... Great Video though

    Wow!! What a fantastic presentation. Very professional and you speak like an english prof.! So much good info here. Im thinking about Schneider Leasing...but 2K$ per week is just not good money sense to me. For example....How did you take off 6 weeks and still pay your weekly truck payments? I would really like to drop those EXPENSES to around 30% of income instead of the 60% figure you showed. The other thing, is you still have to pay 33% avg INCOME TAX on your final income. So it seems your net would have been even lower. But that's fine. NOt trying to shoot it down. Its just, those numbrers would not work for me. I need Mo money! But what your data shows so nicely is the incredible breakdown of costs and income. So for that, I say THANKS! Im so tired of watching all the "hommies and Bro's" just sit there and look at the camera the entire time and tell me NOTHING...just repeat the same crap over and over....So thanks again for concise and real details.

    Your presentation is very good and concise. In this scenario it is obvious that your largest expenses are FUEL and TRUCK PAYMENT. And, REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE in this scenario seem remarkably low. Question 1: When the TRUCK PAYMENT goes away over time, how much will the REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE increase due to truck age and wear & tear? Did you have an estimate for increased REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE, and if you do, what is that number? FUEL expenses are really killing you here: over 28%. I would have anticipated a range of 18% (minimum) to 23% (maximum) for fuel charges given an average price per gallon of diesel fuel in 2020. I am not sure that I agree with you that there is money to be made as an owner operator in today's trucking world. Yes, you can make money (i.e., 67,748.32), but it seems as if you are losing somewhere between 13K to 24K. Is this because you are only pulling VAN, or are you pulling REFER, Flat Bed or Heavy Load?

    So your paying 68k a year, for 3 years and then have a residual due of 50-70k after it’s done?
    Wouldn’t it be more fiscally responsible to buy a brand new truck for 140-160k, make double payments and still lease on with them??

      Well, 67+ k incomes for 2019 is not too bad. The point is that the truck payment is very very expensive ! After 3 years this truck will cost her more than 206k. Ouch !
      By the way, it would be interesting to know the average fuel cost per gl for 2019 and for these 3 quarters.

      This was first year, as any business owner, I learned how to cut costs, increase productivity and increase revenue so by year 2 it's closer to $50k after taxes. Also, after two years I. The industry you no longer need to lease a truck, so for higher yearly net, it's simple to give back the lease truck (with no cost to you) and finance a truck on a monthly payment OR refi the lease truck.

      The WhiteKnight - She has A LOT of tax write offs which will put a lot of money back in her pocket after doing her income taxes. I'm also guessing that she works much less than you do. If you are making $93k doing van OTR you are either never home, train students, have worked at your company for many, many years so are at the very top pay rate or all of the above. The only other possibility is you have found a needle in a haystack job.

      What's $67,000+ $68,000? Taking home $67,000 and putting $68,000 towards the cost of the truck is what I made and is an investment. Considering in a few years having a paid off truck that $68,000 would be going to my pocket (well minus additional repairs for an older truck) but you see what I mean?
