    How many do we have? 3? We need 50 of these for any meaningful logisticsl management of resources but the Navy doesn't want to spend the money on them, and ambitious Navy officers don't want to be assigned to captain them regardless of how important the logistical tail is. It isn't a stepping stone to a combat task force command and not going to get them those coveted gold admiral's stars.
    We can all name the commanding general for D Day. But can anyone name the general for logistics that made D Day possible? So important is logistics that even Napoleon supposedly said, amateurs talk tactics, professionals talk logistics. We needblitw of these ships, and need to protect them from their obvious role in making things happen. And need to ensure good officers command them and not the 3rd stringers.
