  • It's critical to understand three terms if we are going to understand Scripture. Grace, faith, and obedience. What do these words mean and how do we go about understanding the relationship they have to one another in the Bible?

    A good way to test to see if somebody really knows the faith is to ask them how they prove their faith. Their response tells you everything.

    Shabbat shalom. Excellent teaching, as always.
    I have now listened to it twice, and it gets better with repeat hearing and copious note taking.
    I pray that the ears of the churchgoing world can be opened to hear and walk in the truth of Yah’s Word.

    "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." - James 1:22
    Faith AND Works
    34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
    Faith AND NO Works
    41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." - Matt. 25:31-46
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    "And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
    Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
    For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." - Luke 12:29-34
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    That is what The Bible says. That is what Jesus Christ said… Nothing anyone does or says can change even one thing.
    He's not telling you to run out and bankrupt yourself, he's telling you to 'sacrifice' some pleasures and comforts - at the very least - AND DO SOMETHING; HELP SOMEONE. HELP EACH OTHER!
    And you can never cancel out one N.T. scripture with another, they are complimentary not contradictory.
    "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." - Matt. 7:13,14 (Luke 13:22-30)
    "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9
    But do you think this negates Christ's Commandments…? Or rather, now that we've applied for the 'Position' (Christian) and been received (Salvation), that we ought to get about 'BEING…' Christians?
    We have received the gift of life itself, should we show no gratitude…?
    How do you "Love God" without… 'loving’ God?
    "For whosoever shall - 'DO' - the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother." Matt. 12:50
    "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." James 2:26
    How do you "Love God" without… 'loving’ God?

      How, when we meet Him, will we expect the Lord to look on us and say, "Well done good and faithful servant…," if we have never 'served' Him?
      I'm confident of my salvation and that salvation is by grace and cannot be earned, but do I really want to show up to the 'Wedding' empty handed…?
      "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." - Matt. 16: 24, 25
      "Therefore said he unto them, THE HARVEST truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."
      Matt. 9:38
      "…Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the others their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.…" - Matt. 24:45+
      "…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." - Dan 11:32b
      "And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue." - Dan. 11:33,34
      "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." - Dan 12:3

      "And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." - Matthew 24:10-13
      "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Rev. 12:11
      "But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets." - Rev. 10:7 (7th Trumpet)
      "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection." Rev. 20:5
      "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." - Rev. 20:4-6
      (Where are the 'pre-tribbers' in this one of a kind promise…? These are the ONLY ones who need not fear "The Second Death." )

      We are to bear fruit. Fruit are the works of God and the oil in the "Lamps of the 5 Virgins."
      “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
      I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even TO GIVE - EVERY MAN - ACCORDING TO HIS WAYS, According to THE FRUIT OF HIS DOINGS." - Jere. 17:9, 10
      "For whosoever shall - 'DO' - the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother." Matt. 12:50
      "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." - James 1:22
      "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." James 2:26

      WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH - and faith only, but that faith has to be the real thing and one cannot have faith in God and not be moved... to works on His behalf.

      "Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and THEIR WORKS FOLLOW THEM.”

      20 Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light-
      pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?
      21 “I hate, I despise your religious festivals;
      your assemblies are a stench to me.
      22 Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
      I will not accept them.
      Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
      I will have no regard for them.
      23 Away with the noise of your songs!
      I will not listen to the music of your harps.
      24 But let justice roll on like a river,
      righteousness like a never-failing stream!
      25 “Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings
      forty years in the wilderness, people of Israel?
      26 You have lifted up the shrine of your king,
      the pedestal of your idols,
      the star of your god[b]-
      which you made for yourselves.

      Hosea 9
      9 Do not rejoice, Israel;
      do not be jubilant like the other nations.
      For you have been unfaithful to your God;
      you love the wages of a prostitute
      at every threshing floor.
      2 Threshing floors and winepresses will not feed the people;
      the new wine will fail them.
      3 They will not remain in the Lord’s land;
      Ephraim will return to Egypt
      and eat unclean food in Assyria.
      4 They will not pour out wine offerings to the Lord,
      nor will their sacrifices please him.
      Such sacrifices will be to them like the bread of mourners;
      all who eat them will be unclean.
      This food will be for themselves;
      it will not come into the temple of the Lord.
      5 What will you do on the day of your appointed festivals,
      on the feast days of the Lord?
      6 Even if they escape from destruction,
      Egypt will gather them,
      and Memphis will bury them.
      Their treasures of silver will be taken over by briers,
      and thorns will overrun their tents.
      7 The days of punishment are coming,
      the days of reckoning are at hand.
      Let Israel know this.
      Because your sins are so many
      and your hostility so great,
      the prophet is considered a fool,
      the inspired person a maniac.

      Isaiah 1:10 Hear the word of the Lord,
      you rulers of Sodom;
      listen to the instruction of our God,
      you people of Gomorrah!
      11 “The multitude of your sacrifices-
      what are they to me?” says the Lord.
      “I have more than enough of burnt offerings,
      of rams and the fat of fattened animals;
      I have no pleasure
      in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.
      12 When you come to appear before me,
      who has asked this of you,
      this trampling of my courts?
      13 Stop bringing meaningless offerings!
      Your incense is detestable to me.
      New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations-
      I cannot bear your worthless assemblies.
      14 Your New Moon feasts and your appointed festivals
      I hate with all my being.
      They have become a burden to me;
      I am weary of bearing them.

      Revelation 11:7 Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. 8 Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city-which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt-where also their Lord was crucified. 9 For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. 10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.

    I find your teachings very instructive and directly in line with my teacher Tim Hegg. And I need to report to you this is the second of your teachings where the letters have been so fuzzy as to be illegible.
