As a black (Jamaican) 16 year old boy, I overwhelmingly appreciate Dave for teaching me many things throughout his channel for the past year now. Even though I was well into astronomy from almost the very beginning, I've learned (a bit of) quantum mechanics, astronomy, astrophysics, and a small portion of philosophy from your channel, and It is now my passion to earn a PHD in physics. I'm also thankful that I'm now well equipped to prevent misinformation being spread, ESPECIALLY throughout my family - they've been indoctrinating me with hyper-religious rhetoric since I was roughly about 7 years old, and it feels good knowing that I can point out bullshit conspiracy theories when needed.

As a Black man, since you brought up race, I want to say that I completely agree with you at 7:31. I don’t understand why some people gravitate towards such buffoonery. Like you mentioned, it’s not all of us, but if 45% of the people believe in this and 55% do not, you have to generalize to some extent. This "scientist" uses no math, primary, or secondary sources. I realize there is going to be distrust for the establishment that tried to use science to prove their supremacy. The unfortunate part is that they have correlated science and academia at large with whiteness. If you reject all academia, you will struggle to find a set of tools to vet the "information" you hear. Most people believe that if someone knows words they don't know, they also understand the concepts. They don't even know where to begin their questions. I'm not a genius. But these guys make me feel like an intellectual giant. I took AP history and AP chemistry. I studied a fair bit of science and culture in university. And that gave me enough knowledge to know I've only scratched the surface. These guys didn't study. They read a book with some crazy ideas or fun facts about waves and energy, misunderstood it, then fell down a rabbit hole of pseudo science and pseudo history.

The way his brain works can be seen in that world of windows patent he brought up. While it does actually involve a similar concept to AR, the way in which he thought up implementing it is the interesting part. He thought it would be practical to place devices inside a room which can detect your locations and movement, then replace windows with high quality screens, then place cameras elsewhere to provide footage into the screens. So the idea is that you can be looking out your fake window and see footage of a real beach instead, which would look like it was actually right outside. The screen would vary how the image is being presented by compensating for your location at the time etc.. So he has a bunch of sensor devices, screens, cameras, etc.. and it comes together to create an augmented reality in your fake windows that are really just expensive tvs you had installed. Then other people who actually know how technology works were like "yea we're just going to have glasses people can wear."
So basically at one point Howard wanted to walk around his house with tons of TV's along the walls, all windows covered, and then have the TV's showing something like a castle courtyard outside.. so he could walk around pretending he was a king in a castle or something.

This video is perfect, it said so much that needs to be said. Predatory actors often target good causes, and something as objectively positive as black unity becomes a blindfold. You don't want to be the guy to oppose something like that, it isn't socially acceptable and it's understandable why. These guys should have been shut up a long time ago, but it's nearly impossible to look like the good guy if you're the one to do it. In terms of confidence mismatched to competence, this terry guy is one of the all time greats. I can only think of one highly visible public figure that is a competitor, and God willing, that guy will fade out in January 2025 and we will never hear about him again.
