Well, it IS a 4-Head model. I remember when VCRs were made out of die-cast metal and no the cheap plastic they are now. Good times, good times. When I got my first DVD player in '97, it was $300 on sale from $500 and $500 was considered cheap. Of course, DVD Players were so new, the most advanced connection on it was S-Video.
For a special treat, my family would sometimes rent a VCR and a couple of movies. You actually rented the whole machine, brought it home, hooked it up to your TV which was a heavy piece of wooden furniture, then watched the movies. Also, you had the choice of BETA or VHS. It's weird how VHS won out, despite BETA being better quality.
When a VCR cost more than a pair of suits.
This would be from LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN from 02/15/91.
LOL I was gonna make a joke about the VCR, but you guys beat me to it.
Anyway, the sale ended February 19, so you'll have to pay full price.
